Wizards of the Lost Kingdom
The kingdom of Axholme is laid siege to by the evil sorcerer Shurka (Thom Christopher and his henchmen. Aided by the kingdom's Queen Udea (Barbara Stock), Shurkl succeeds in killing King Tylor (Augusto Larreta) and imprisoning his daughter, Princess Aura (Dolores Michaels). To keep Shurka from getting his powerful magic ring, the royal wizard Wulfrik (Edgardo Moreira) gives it to his son Simon (Vidal Peterson) for safekeeping. As the wizard sends Simon and his large white pet Gulfax (Edgardo Moreira) to a forested area far from the castle, Simon ends up dropping the ring in his father's study by accident. Moments later, Shurkan finds Wolfrik and kills him. Simon and Gulfax soon find themselves set upon by Shurka's soldiers, but are saved by a lone warrior named Kor the Conqueror (Bo Svenson). Kor decides to accompany the two to return to Axholme and defeat Shurka. Meanwhile, Shurka grows incensed when a number of the castle's servants are unable to find Wulfrik's ring. He also begins to upset Udea when he takes a romantic interest in Princess Aura. For protection, Kor gives Simon a small sword to train with. When Shurka magically sees Simon is practicing alone, he sends a spectral warrior to kill the boy. Eventually, Simon is able to defeat the warrior. Simon next runs into a woman wearing a red dress (Maria Socas), who leads him to a place to relax. This turns out to be another trap set by Shurka, as the woman turns into a giant bug! Luckily, Kor shows up in time to help Simon defeat the creature. Later that evening, Simon finds an area where a group of warriors known as Foxfire are buried. Feeling they could help them defeat Shurka, Simon raises them from the dead, before Kor sends them back to their tomb. He then cautions SImon to be more respectful of the dead, as well as the living. The next day, the group come across some creatures menacing a hobgoblin named Hurla (Michael Fontaine). He convinces the group that the best route to get to Axholme is through The Suicide Caverns. Gulfax stays with Hurla as Kor and Simon continue the quest. After fending off some spirits in the caverns, Kor and Simon are separated. When Simon finds Kor, he has been tied up by a cyclops, who delivers an ultimatum: Kor can marry his sister (whom Kor ran away from), or be dinner. With Simon's help, Kor manages to escape. They next come to an impassable waterfall. Suddenly, they see a woman (Marina Magali) being swept down river. Kor attempts to save her, but she disappears from view, and then appears nearby in her true form: a mermaid. Given the two were willing to rescue her, she creates a rainbow bridge that gets them over the falls. On the other side, they find Gulfax, and also a number of passageways that get them back into the castle. Sneaking around, they encounter a servant who found Wulfrik's missing ring. Simon reclaims it, and then he and Kor free a number of children whom Shurka captured. Shurka meanwhile, is holding a feast to celebrate the upcoming execution of Udea, and his planned marriage to Aura. Kor interrupts the feast, and leads Shurka's men out into the courtyard where they are ambushed by the children. Eventually, Shurka takes notices of Simon, and a battle between them ensues. With the help of his father's ring, Simon defeats Shurka. In the end, Kor and Simpon have an emotional farewell, before Simon is hailed as the new king of Axholme, and Princess Aura to be his queen.
