The film talks about the life and tragedy of a Kyrgyz village, focusing on a simple young guy (Omurbek Izrailov). Being expelled from his native village, the takes the daughter (Saltanat Bakaeva) of a local lord (Temirlan Smanbekov), "bay", with him, but is overtaken and beaten almost to death. He is destined to find himself and his fate in order to reunite his people. In a remote mountain village, a young, carefree boy falls in love with the daughter of a local rich chieftain -'bai', and is forced to fight for her hand. The dishonest tricks of his rival force him to rebuff in the heat of the moment, which results in a tragedy - destruction of a sacred totem tree - "Mazar". Hard trials are coming for everyone. The nature surrounding us from time immemorial without stinting generosity gives us the goodness. But at times, it cruelly punishes those who don't honor its laws.The film is shot according to the legend based on the real events which were handed down many generations ago.
