Loosely based on the life of Harshad Mehta and his financial crimes, The Big Bull is a story based on real events of the financial market that took place between the years 1990 and 2000.

The film is a romantic comedy that revolves around three men who try to convince a father that they are a perfect match for his daughters.

Abbas Ali (Abhishek Bachchan) lives in Karol Bagh, New Delhi with his sister Sania (Asin Thottumkal). They are legally fighting for their ancestral property but the odds turn against them and they lose. Their well wisher, Shastri Chacha, advises and convinces them to migrate to his village Ranakpur. He assures Abbas that he will get him a job at his owner`s place, the owner being none other than the powerful Prithviraj Raghuvanshi (Ajay Devgn). But an incident occurs which compels Abbas to cook up a lie. From here starts a series of cover-ups, goof-ups and comic situations where to cover one lie, Abbas starts padding up with a bigger lie.

Vikas Sagar (Zayed Khan) is one of the most promising journalists in the country. Owais Husain (Sunil Shetty) who heads a controversial Istanbul based news channel makes him an offer to join the channel for an outrageous salary and other perks. This offer couldn`t have come at a better time for Vikas who was undergoing a painful divorce with his wife Anjali (Shriya Saran). However, little does he know that this decision will change his life forever. When he voices his plans to quit the channel, he is reminded by Turkish commando, Rizwan Khan (Vivek Oberoi), how others who quit had been bumped off because they knew too much. In a place where the gun has the last laugh, will a journalist survive or will he fall prey like many others?

A news reporter must uncover the secret on the 13th floor of a News Station. A promising journalist Vikas Sagar (Zayed Khan) is offered a position to head a controversial news station in Istanbul by its owner Owais Husain (Sunil Shetty). With this offer comes the promise of money and many other perks that make this offer hard to refuse, especially since Vikas is currently going through a very painful divorce with his wife Anjali (Shriya Saran). After working for the channel that in turn changes his life, he decides to quit, however it is brought to his attention by a Turkish commando Rizwan Khan (Vivek Oberoi), that others who have quit had been killed for knowing too much. Once there, he is met by fellow-reporter, Owais Hussain, is introduced to the CEO, Al Gazni, shown around the building, and instructed to keep away from the 13th floor. While covering an assignment in turbulent Afghanistan, Owais is shot and killed.
