Dishkiyaoon is a story of ambition, revenge and deception. It chronicles the life of Vicky Kartoos as he makes his way to the top in the uncertain world of gangsters.

Lotiram Khabadia is an MLA based in Bombay, who is corrupt, and involved in all kinds of criminal activities. He has close links with another gangster cum wrestler, Tamancha. As elections are coming close, Lotiram and Tamancha start canvasing for themselves, to retain power. Their competitor is an eunuch by the name of Chayavati. The people pronounce their verdict, and Chayavati is elected. Lotiram is devastated, no one really pays attention to him anymore, even Tamancha will have nothing to do with him. Upset at the humiliation at the hands of Tamancha, Lotiram seeks the help of a former municipal employee, Yeshwant, and becomes a witness for the prosecution, so as to enable them to lay charges against Tamancha. An army major is transferred to a training camp after being blamed by the police for doing their job. However, when the law and order worsens, the police ask him to take over the nation's security. Army major Anand(Mithun Chakraborty), who fights to avoid crimes when there are crime situations, for which he is often blamed by police, stating that the army has no power to fight crimes and it is the duty of the police. Politicians who are backing up crimes transfer him to a training camp with undisciplined cadets, as the head of the camp. There he trains the cadets to become honest soldiers. In a terrible situation in which police could not keep the peace and crimes have overwhelmed the police, the government has no other option other than confining the police to barracks and calling the army to take over the security of the country i.e. forming a Military Raaj (Military controlled state).

This does not auger with Arjun, and this pits both the brothers against each other. On the other hand, Ajay believes his client, Ram, is innocent, while Arjun believes that Ram is guilty and belongs behind bars. In Bombay a series of kidnapping takes place and many young women go missing. The police force is also not doing much to stop this until Arjun Verma is assigned to the case.During the investigation it is found that a man behind the kidnappings is Auto Kesariya .Further investigation reveals that all the missing women have been killed after their kidneys have been removed and many skeletons are found during this phase.Arjun's fiance Geeta is also untraceable during the phase when she ditches him on the wedding day.The case doesn't seem to be as simple as it looks as it a huge organ trafficking racket run by Dr Amir Khurana. —alex.mjacko@gmail.com Crime and corruption have taken over Bombay City and there seems to be no solution. Then a rash of kidnappings, of young women, takes place. One male who was traveling in an auto-rickshaw with his sister, saw her being abducted by a male named Auto Kesariya right in front of his eyes. When he goes to the nearby Kala Chowki Police Station, he is asked to make a written complaint. He does so, yet his sister is not located. He persists with his complaint, and then one day disappears from the police station itself. His wife approaches the Courts and asks for their assistance in locating her husband, as she fears that the police themselves are behind his disappearance. The Police Commissioner takes the Governor's permission and has a jailed prisoner, a former Assistant Commissioner of Police, Arjun Verma, reinstated, and assigned to this case. Arjun will get himself deeply involved in this disappearance and the kidnappings and will face the shock and trauma of finding skeletal remains of young women who had been abducted, as well as body parts stolen from innocent hospital patients. Dharma, a thug, refuses drug dealers' offer, leading to his sister's assault. Jailed for retaliation, he escapes and commits rape. Years later, his son Mangal follows his criminal path, while Dharma's nephew, a cop, aims to arrest Mangal. Dharma is the local hoodlum in a small town in India, who terrorizes everyone in the town and forces them to pay him "protection money". No police officer has dared to stand in Dharma's way, except for Inspector Dilawar, only to be subsequently subdued and publicly humiliated by Dharma. When drug dealer brothers, Gorakh and Paras, hear about Dharma, they invite him to join them, but Dharma refuses. They decide to teach him a lesson by asking Jaggu to molest his sister, Kamla, which he does, but is severely beaten by Dharma. Kamla is in love with Vijay, and Dharma permits them to get married. Then Dharma is arrested, tried in Court, convicted of assault, and the prosecution main witness is none other than Vijay. An angered Dharma escapes from police custody and brutally rapes Laxmi, Vijay's sister. After the marriage, Vijay is killed at the hands of Jaggu, who is eventually hunted down and killed by Dharma. When Dharma goes to deal with Gorakh and Paras, he is surrounded by the police, arrested, tried in court, and sentenced to prison for life. After 30 years he returns home to find that Laxmi has sired his son, Mangal, who has grown up to be another "Dharma" who is now working for Gorakh and Paras; his sister is widowed, and has a son, CBI Inspector Vikrant - who has been instructed to arrest Mangal - dead or alive. —rAjOo (gunwanti@hotmail.com)
