A multimillionaire whose son and daughter are gay leaves a will with one clause: His children will inherit his money only if at least one of them produces his grandchild within a year of his death.

A wannabe blues-guitar virtuoso finds an old blues player and hopes he can teach him a long-lost song by legendary musician, Robert Johnson. Eugene is an extraordinary talent in classic guitar, but he dreams of being a famous blues guitarist, so he investigates to find a storied lost song. He asks legendary blues musician Willie Brown to help him, but Willie demands to be sprung from the old-people's prison first and to really learn the blues on the way to its origin: the Mississippi Delta. He studies guitar at Julliard, but he is looking for the 30th unknown song of Roberto Johnson. One day, he meets Willie Brown, the "Blind Dog," in an old-folks' home and is convinced that he possess the lost song. Eugene helps Willie to escape the asylum and goes with him to Mississippi. They can just afford a bus ticket from New York to halfway to Mississippi, so they must hitchhike the rest of the way, and doing so they meet Frances, a girl who left home and wishes to be a dancer in Los Angeles. Mari and Jeff Thompson start to doubt their own marriage when every couple they know separate. Jeff and Mari Thompson have been married for fifteen years. Although their marriage is not perfect, they are seemingly happy in their married and family life. But all their married friends seem to be getting divorced or separated. These newly single friends try to convince both Jeff and Mari - together and individually - that divorce is the way to go. Even if they do decide to remarry, it will be an inevitability that that marriage too will end in divorce. And divorce can even re-energize the love in an otherwise stale marriage. In light of these assertions by their friends, Jeff and Mari do evaluate their marriage. Their friends also place each of them in potentially compromising positions, despite the fact that they still are married. Will Jeff and Mari's marriage be able to withstand all this outside pressure? —Huggo
