Anumati is a beautiful love story starring veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, Neena Kulkarni and Reema Lagoo. The story of the film revolves around an aged couple. The husband tries to save a wife who is on a life support system. His refusal to give consent (anumati)for removing the life support system and his attempts to save his life partner is the story of the film.

Produced by Rajshri, the story is slightly different from the marriage movies made under the banner. The characters played by Sonu Sood and Isha Koppikar fall in love with each other. But circumstances compel them to stay away from each other for 12 years. What Ek Vivah. unfolds is how the two meet each other again and get married.

It is a story of four friends who chose shortcuts to achieve early success in life. Expected ten folds from life in return for no hard work, led them to only a disillusionment and despair. Further on, the youngsters fall prey to a fraud and encounter a huge financial loss. Nandini is on last stage of cancer during this time tragedy strikes as her husband is killed by a village rival,Nandini now is forced to put all her four children for adoption to give them a better life.
