A manager of an orphanage in Kolkata travels to New York to meet a benefactor. American Isabel (Michelle Williams) has been working in an orphanage in Calcutta for many years. One day she receives an offer of a potential donation worth millions, but only on condition that Isabel meets the donor in person. Reluctantly, Isabel flies home.
