Anu Sithara

Based on the medieval fair called Mamankam, which was celebrated every 12 years between 800 AD and 1755 AD, the story of the film is supposedly about a brave warrior (played by Megastar Mammootty) of Malabar and his loyal soldiers.

During the Mamangam festival held at the banks of Bharathappuzha in Thirunavaya, soldiers from various places used to come together to wager battle. For almost three centuries, Valluvakonathiri has been sending suicide squads called Chavers who valiantly sacrifice their lives trying to fight and bring down the Zamorins at the festival of Mamangam, celebrated every 12 years between 800 AD and 1755 AD. Now, in 1695, two more from Valluvanadu, including 12 year old Chaver Chanthunni, a master of the oldest martial art of the world Kalaripayattu, try to accomplish what many have failed in. It is a murder mystery which draws its inspiration from the real-life murders in Kerala and explores how a person can be framed and labelled a criminal, even if there is no solid proof of their guilt.

Jose, a Circle Inspector of Police, Special Branch from Trissur, Kerala, who comes from a respected and well-known conservative christian family, is on the lookout for a suitable bride who fits within his idea of an ideal woman. When he meets Lynta, he believes he has finally found the right woman and the two get engaged soon. However, he slowly realizes that he his not romantically attracted to her and to make matters worse, he finds himself attracted to Anupama Neelakantan, a social activist whom he meets during the course of investigating an abduction case. As he finds himself torn between his fiance and Anupama, he discovers the life secrets of Anupama. Whom will he marry and will he able to complete the investigation successfully forms the crux.
