A modern retelling of Rabindranath Tagore`s classic novel, the film chronicles a triangular love story which is as much a story of passionate romance as it is of clashing ideologies. Directed by Aparna Sen, Ghawre Bairey Aaj stars Anirban Bhattacharya, Jisshu Sengupta and Tuhina Das in central roles.

Heir to the Bikrampur Estate and one of three princes, Mahendra Kumar Choudhari, known for his lavish lifestyle and philanderous ways, contracts syphilis and is taken to Darjeeling for treatment by his wife Chandrabati Devi. On his way, Mahendra Kumar passes away under mysterious circumstances and is cremated in Darjeeling, following which his brothers inherit Bikrampur Estate. Twelve years later, a Sanyasi, who has a striking resemblance to the supposed dead prince, makes his way to the estate. People begin to take notice of the Sanyasi and news spread that the estate's lost prince is back. Who is this Sanyasi? Is he really the long-gone prince?

Arshinagar is an imaginary neighborhood, which is terrorized by two rival gangs belonging to the Khans & the Mitras. Both families are in the real estate business and are sworn enemies. Thomas tries to solve the mystery of the Little Green Engine at the Blue Mountain Quary. When the Fat Controller sends Thomas to work at the Blue Mountain Quarry, Thomas spots an engine he has never seen before trying to hide. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, Thomas tracks down and befriends Luke, who tells Thomas he is hiding because he did something so bad, he could be sent away from the Island of Sodor forever. Thomas does not believe this and sets off on a journey to discover the truth behind the story of the poor runaway engine. On the way, he learns of engines brought to Sodor from faraway lands and of an accident at Brendam Docks where an engine fell into the sea. But only when he has learned every piece of the story, can Thomas convince his new friend that there is no reason to hide. When trouble strikes at the Blue Mountain Quarry, Thomas is sent to help his Narrow Gauge engine friends. While shunting and hauling, he catches a glimpse of a small engine trying to hide, yet no one will provide any clues to the engine's identity. Thomas is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery but discovering the truth is harder than he imagined!

Titli is a beautiful tale narrating the relationship between a mother and her daughter. Titli who is in her teens has a crush on Rohit Roy, the superstar of Bengali films. Bharat Prasad Sharma lives a middle-class lifestyle along with his brother in a small town in India. His brother falls in love with Saraswati and both get intimate. Then Saraswati gets pregnant and both get married. Bharat does not approve of Saraswati and breaks off all relations, even dividing the house into two. Now Bharat is the Deputy Superintendent of Police and is assigned to take charge of a Police Station in a small town that is being ruled by a criminal don and soon-to-be Member of the Legislative Assembly, Dharam Kohli. A frustrated Bharat volunteers to go under cover and expose Dharam. He rents a room with John Fernandes, falls in love with co-tenant, Prabha, and marries her.
