A gangster shuns the path of crime after his lover is killed by his rivals but soon he is dragged by his boss once again in the criminal world to do one last job. At the behest of Mahesh Verma, Shanta Prasad alias Abba, recruits Ghulam-E-Musthafa, a gangster and hit-man to carry out their nefarious activities. When Dayanand Dixit refuses to sell his property to Verma, Ghulam is asked to move into their house, live with them, and eventually force them to leave. Dayanand and his wife, Bhagyalaxmi, are shocked at this and initially cannot accept a Muslim male to live together with them and eat from their utensils. To make matters worse, Dayanand loses his job, his son, Vikram, is unable to secure admission in any college, and their daughter, Vidya, is unable to get anyone to marry her. Two men from different backgrounds fall in love with the same woman, but one has a deadly secret after a traumatic accident. The wealthy Kapoor family consists of Madanlal, his wife, Geetarani, daughter, Roshni, and son, Gaurav. One day while Gaurav is returning home from the Oriental Bank of Commerce, he is attacked by a group of men led by Shiva, but a young man named Rohit Malhotra comes to his rescue. It is then that she starts seeing Rohit, while Gaurav starts drifting away from her, and unknown to anyone, is hiding a deadly secret.
