Abbas Ali (Abhishek Bachchan) lives in Karol Bagh, New Delhi with his sister Sania (Asin Thottumkal). They are legally fighting for their ancestral property but the odds turn against them and they lose. Their well wisher, Shastri Chacha, advises and convinces them to migrate to his village Ranakpur. He assures Abbas that he will get him a job at his owner`s place, the owner being none other than the powerful Prithviraj Raghuvanshi (Ajay Devgn). But an incident occurs which compels Abbas to cook up a lie. From here starts a series of cover-ups, goof-ups and comic situations where to cover one lie, Abbas starts padding up with a bigger lie.

Two photographers Makrand "Mac" Deendayal Chatpatiya (Akshay Kumar) and Shyam "Sam" Salgaonkar (John Abraham) are doing a photo shoot and they live in Mauritius. Mac does not treat Sam nicely and always talks rudely to him in front of the models, as Mac considers Sam a junior photographer. When Mac's fiance Anjali calls, Mac asks Sam to lie to her that he is not there. Sam tells Anjali that Mac has asked him to lie to her, prompting Anjali to come to the sets to confront Mac. While Mac is shooting the models in exposing poses, his fiance Anjali (Rimi Sen) leaves in disgust due to Mac's closeness to the models. Anjali is a doctor herself. Mac explains to Anjali that photographing is his profession, and he was only teaching the novice models to give the correct pose. Babban is Mac's driver. Their boss Chote Lal Yadav (Viju Khote) calls them into his office and tells them that they are good-for-nothing photographers. Mac and Sam wanted double pay, a company car and an apartment. Mac and Sam blame each other for the poor photographs despite spending Rs 3 Lakhs for the shoot. He threatens to reduce their pay if they don't get some good pictures for the world press photography competition to make his magazine Garam Masala famous. Sam lives with Mac in his apartment. Both Mac and Sam ask Maggie (Neha Dhupia), the boss's secretary, on a date on the same day, at the same restaurant at the same time. Actually, Maggie was talking to Sam on the phone and said yes to him. Mac was standing in front of Maggie and asks her out on a date. Maggie wasn't even listening to Mac, and when she says yes to Sam, Mac thinks that she agreed to his proposal. As all three meet up at the restaurant a pickpocket takes Mac's and Sam's wallets. After the meal, the competition to impress Maggie heightens. At first, both Mac and Sam fight over who pays the bill, but then they realize that their wallets are stolen and thus try to pass the bill to the other. As Maggie goes to the restroom, the guys make a run out of the restaurant, leaving Maggie to pay the bill. Mamu Singh (Asrani) is Mac's maternal uncle who is not happy that Mac and Anjali cannot get along together. Mac promises to spend more time with Anjali and even the entire day with her on her Birthday. Mamu promises to send the couple back to India after their wedding. Sam visits a famous photographer, praising him and asking for a few outstanding shots to enter in an international photography competition on behalf of his company. These stolen shots help Sam to win the world photography competition. He gets promoted, is given ten percent of the prize money of Rs 1 Crore and has his pay doubled (with a paid vacation to USA for a month), whilst Mac receives a demotion to assistant. Sam flies off to the USA to enjoy his holiday (which was given to him by his company), leaving Mac fuming in Mauritius. The chief editor Nageshwar Kapoor (Manoj Joshi) persuades Mac to show up Sam by getting three women to be his fiance, getting a very expensive flat and driving very expensive, imported cars. Following his promise, Mac gets a high-quality flat and gets access to three beautiful air hostesses. His driver, Babban (Rajpal Yadav), is his key to the high life. Not only does Babban gets Mac access to the flat, but he also delivers very high-end cars to impress his fiance. He drives Mac's cars and does all his services for a small amount of liquor every day. The flat belongs to a rich man who had bought it for his daughter. Since the daughter is in the US, the flat remains empty. Mac approaches the landlord Daksh Padgaonkar (Prithvi Zutshi) and gets hired as the caretaker of the apartment. Lastly, Babban gets Mac a housekeeper, Mambo (Paresh Rawal), who has an attitude problem and doesn't care what goes on in the flat so long as his demands are met. Mambo wants all appliances to be arranged for his kitchen work. He wont cook food if there is a cricket match on, he will do his own grocery shopping and he demands that he will not be asked to explain daily expenses in the house. Mac has affairs with each of the three women-Deepti (Daisy Bopanna), Puja (Nargis Bagheri) and Sweety (Neetu Chandra)-and creates chaos as he has to keep track of their individual schedules and make sure that he does not double book. Before the next girl arrives, Mambo has to do all the work to clear the flat of all evidence of the previous girl. Each of the girls have a tussle with Mambo for not listening to them, not following orders and not behaving like a servant. Mac has to delicately balance keeping Mambo happy as well as taking side of his girlfriend. Anjali approaches Nageshwar and bribes him to find Mac's location. Mac convinces Anjali that he is staying at the apartment of his friend since his company him out of the apartment allocated to him. Sam returns from America, only to find his friend turned rival, playing around with three women at once. He tries to upstage his friend and tries out his own luck with the girls. Sam convinces Babban to take him to Mac's apartment and decides to live with him. The arrangement turns into mayhem when it's hard for the two boys to maintain the three girls simultaneously. Sam tries to take over Mac's life by trying to bribe Mambo, Babban & even the chief editor (by trying to get Mac transferred). Sam also finds out from Babban about the owner of flat that Mac is living in and how he got it. However, Mac finds out that San is trying to take over his life. Mac kicks Sam out but reconciles when Sam threatens to go to the real owner of the apartment where Mac is squatting. The next few days are a series of farce when the 3 girls keep coming & going in the apartment & are in the apartment at the same time as well (due to a change in the airline's operating schedules). To top it off Anjali and Mamu come over to the apartment to get Mac's commitment for his wedding to Anjali. It is up to Mac, Sam, Mambo and Babban to somehow keep them apart from running into each other. Mac's original fiance Anjali Bhatnagar learns about Mac's deeds, and it creates a bigger mess. When their cook Mambo leaves, Sam & Mac are caught when Pooja and Deepti come face to face inside the apartment. Their whole game unravels & they begin to realize their mistakes. Mac tries to get back together with Anjali. Sam apologizes on Mac's behalf to Anjali & tells her the whole truth. Anjali was about to board her flight back to India, but sensing sincerity, she decides to stay back & take back Mac when he promises to give up his wayward ways with women.

Akendra alias Topichand Bhangare runs an antique store as a front for illegal activities. He lives near the notorious Chor Bazaar (thieves market) area with his wife, Sulekha, and only daughter, Kiran. He would like Kiran to get married to the mother of all gangsters, and picks gangster Shakti Dada, who is currently undergoing a lengthy prison sentence, to be his prospective son-in-law. Kiran convinces Raj in order to meet with her dad's requirements, he must first become a gangster. Raj reluctantly agrees, and is introduced to a gangster-trainer called Subramaniam. After a number of misadventures, Raj finally accomplishes his goal, and qualifies to be a suitable groom for Kiran. Then things change abruptly with the arrival of Topichand's dad, a wealthy man, Thakur Rana, who strongly opposes Kiran's marriage with any gangster. Complying to this, the hero informs the heroine that their relationship needs to end there. Going with his uncle to the village for his uncle's daughter, to his joy he sees that it's none other than Rani. Ajay Chauvan lives with his parents and a younger sister. Ajay loves Pooja and hopes to get marry to her one day; he prepares a job application and send it to various places but in the mean-while he stages dance programs and performs in street fights to meet his family needs. A few days later he receive a letter informing him that he must present himself for an interview pertaining a job in Bombay. He does attend the interview only to be selected for the job; satisfy with this Ajay decides to offer prayers at a near-by temple only to find himself arrested by the police, tortured and accused of raping 3 young girls. The case is then called up in a court of law where-by Ajay is found guilty and is sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. After completing his sentence Ajay return home only to find that nothing is the same anymore his dad and fiancée has committed suicide, his mother is living a destitute life while his sister loses her mental balance and is confined in a mental asylum prompting Ajay to start his own investigations with the help of a police officer whose daughter was one of the rape victims. Several years later he is released from prison, and finds out that his dad had killed himself, his mom and sister are untraceable, and Pooja had killed herself rather than marry anyone else. He sets out to put his life together and meets with a ruthless police inspector, whose daughter was one of the rape victims. Gangaram Verma has worked for the local municipality for several years, and is known in the community for being honest. Contractors' many attempts to bribe him have all been in vain. One of the contractor's, Prem Kumar, decides to teach Gangaram a lesson. He hires Gangaram's only son, Vijay, in his office, and subsequently gets him married to his only daughter, Sapna. The three then scheme to get Gangaram to trust them, and upon doing so, they get him to sign his property to them, leaving Gangaram and his wife, Laxmi, homeless. Vijay and Sapna bring up their son, Ravi, and tell him that his grandparents are dead. Years go by, then one day Ravi comes across a coolie who resembles his grandfather. Niloufer is divorced by Nawab Wasim (Deepak Parasher), a debonair, workacholic and self centred man. Afaque, a publisher of Urdu poetry is single while keeping the flame of his love for Niloufer alive in his heart. The story takes us through details of Sharia (muslim) law regarding divorce and remarriage. Niloufer habitually keeps a diary, which proves to be her undoing. Does she still love her her ex-husband? On her birthday she receives a present from her doting husband, a present that is so utterly unexpected and an utterly selfless sacrifice. The story outlines the parallels with that of Adam & Eve. Here, Adam is Ranjit (Sanjeev Kumar), Eve is Sharda (Vidya Sinha) while the apple is Nirmala (Ranjita Kaur). Ranjit is newly employed in a company, whose pay scales can be gauged from the fact that he goes to work on a bicycle. However, this bicycle itself brings him face-to-face with Sharda, when he bumps into her by accident. Sharda's bicycle gets badly damaged & Ranjit drops her off. Ranjit has the habit to writing everything in his diary and that day he expresses his desire to meet Sharda again and take things forward with her. That same evening, Ranjit goes to the wedding of his friend. Abdul Karim Durrani (Asrani) is Ranjit's a co-worker at office & a poet. Sharda is also present at the ceremony. Sharda & Ranjit's love blossoms from there & soon they get married with the permission of Sharda's father (Om Shivpuri). Ranjit at that time earned Rs 600 per month. On their honeymoon night, Abdul trains Ranjit that whoever gets the upper hand on that night, stays on top of the marriage for the rest of their lives. Ranjit starts bossing Sharda around in a loving way from the next morning on-wards. Sharda is a simple woman and is happy to follow the directions of her husband. Sharda is barred from reading his personal diary. Ranjit would end every instruction to Sharda with an ominous "or else". But pretty soon, Sharda retaliates and wants to know what the "Or else" entails. This prompts Ranjit to backtrack, and they establish a marriage of mutual love and respect. In the course of a few years, Ranjit becomes a father, buys a car & rises to be the Sales Manager of the company. Sharda & Ranjit are still living in marital bliss although Ranjit has a bit of a roving eye for beautiful women. Ranjit now earns Rs 3239 per month as salary. That is, until Nirmala, Ranjit's new secretary, shows up. Ranjit is inexplicably attracted to Nirmala. She is an honest girl who is trying to make two ends meet. She is much more beautiful compared to Sharda. But most of all, she knows nothing about Ranjit's true intentions & his married life. Meanwhile, Abdul is also attracted to Nirmala and keeps running into her, but Nirmala does not pay him any attention. Ranjit is initially upset with his thoughts about Nirmala, but finally gives in. He carefully plans his further steps. He pretends to be the helpless grieving husband of a cancer-stricken wife, who won't live much longer. Ranjit says that his wife has been sick for 6 years and is completely bed-ridden, requiring round-the-clock care and attention. Nirmala feels sorry for him, thus making it easier for him to get close to her. Nobody, not Sharda, not even his closest friend, suspects a thing. As Ranjit spends more time with the youthful Nirmala, he has a newfound zest for life, which reflects in his energy at home with Sharda. Ranjit secretly reads the Kamasutra book in his bathroom. Nirmala lives with her maternal grandfather. Ranjit has an old car that keeps breaking down, but he refuses to sell the car as this was the first one he bought, and he believes that it brings good luck to him. One day, Ranjit bluffs to Sharda that he will be late coming home as he has a meeting. He takes Nirmala out to dinner. Next day, Sharda finds Nirmala's handkerchief, with lipstick marks on it, in Ranjit's pocket. She immediately confronts Ranjit, who makes up a story about a co-worker whose handkerchief he may have accidentally taken. Sharda reluctantly believes him. Ranjit decides to take his next steps more carefully. Sharda too starts thinking that her fears were unfounded. Ranjit makes even more interesting back up plans: He prepares two books of poetry, professing his love. The poems are the same in both, only one book contains Nirmala's name, and the other contains Sharda's. Ranjit keeps on taking Nirmala to luncheons & dinners, without Sharda's knowledge. The turning point comes when Sharda sees him in a hotel with Nirmala. She later asks him about his meeting, about which the clueless Ranjit lies. Sharda's fears are confirmed. She starts spying on him & Nirmala, taking incriminating pictures. After sufficient evidence is obtained, she secretly meets Nirmala, posing as a journalist. Nirmala thinks Sharda intends to blackmail her. But Sharda reassures her that she won't. When Nirmala tells her about Ranjit & his ailing wife, Sharda reveals her true identity. Sharda also finds the two diaries. Meanwhile, Ranjit gets another promotion & comes home happily to tell his wife about it. Sharda coolly tells him that he is busted. Ranjit does not know what has hit him. He turns around, only to see Nirmala behind him. Sharda tells him that she is leaving him & the divorce papers will be soon sent to him. Sharda & Nirmala console each other. Ranjit calls upon his friend Abdul & lies that Nirmala has said some malicious lies to Sharda about him. Abdul sides with him & lies about Nirmala's character. Sharda exposes Ranjit in front of him as well, with help of the evidence she has collected. Sharda tells Ranjit to choose either her or Nirmala. Ranjit quietly gives Nirmala some money & lies to her, in a last-ditch attempt at damage control. But honest Nirmala returns the money to Sharda, making things even worse for Ranjit. Sharda prepares to walk out on Ranjit. Meanwhile, Nirmala also resigns & leaves his life forever. Everything looks bleak for Ranjit. As Sharda is about to leave home, her innocent son asks what is happening. Just for his sake, Ranjit & Sharda try to reconcile. Life comes back on track. But soon another secretary Neeta (Parveen Babi) joins the office & Ranjit tries to resort to his antics once more. As if by coincidence, Ranjit's friend Abdul suddenly walks in & Ranjit backs off, taking this as a warning.

Bharat Prasad Sharma lives a middle-class lifestyle along with his brother in a small town in India. His brother falls in love with Saraswati and both get intimate. A frustrated Bharat volunteers to go under cover and expose Dharam. He rents a room with John Fernandes, falls in love with co-tenant, Prabha, and marries her. Widowed Advocate Triloki Prasad (Om Prakash) lives a wealthy lifestyle in a small town in India with two sons, Advocate Ashok (Vijay Sharma) married to Geeta (Lily Chakravarty), and Alok (Amitabh Bachchan) who has yet to settle down in their law firm. Alok is fond of music and enrolls in classes run by Pandit Jamuna Prasad (A. K. Hangal). On his return, his father asks him to accompany Ashok to their law firm and start learning to practice, which he agrees to do. Triloki wants Alok to learn basic law from Ashok and eventually study for a law degree. Triloki does not encourage Alok's interests in singing and other fine arts. Ashok understands and tells Alok that while he will need to come to the office, but after that he is free to do what he wants. Triloki himself doesn't attend office as he is running for local elections and is focused on that. Alok met Tonga wallah Ganeshi (Asrani) at the station upon his return. Ganesh and Alok used to be childhood friends. Ganeshi's father used to drive a Tonga for Triloki, but was fired when Triloki bought a motor car. Alok is fond of music and learns from Ganeshi that a courtesan Sarju Bai Banaraswali (Chhaya Devi) sings very well. Ganeshi is a tenant with her and hence knows about her. Radhiya (Rekha) is Ganeshi's sister and is learning music from Sarju Bai. Alok goes to the slums to meet Sarju Bai and she chases him out thinking he is a goon lusting after Radhiya. Ganeshi finds Alok and brings him to his hut, where they sing a song together, which Sarju Bai hears. Sarju Bai is impressed to know that Alok learned music from Pandit Jamuna and takes him under her wings. Maharaj Dinanath (Manmohan Krishna) is a singer in his own right. He has feelings for Sarju, but never expresses them and continues to care for her selflessly. Sarju tells the story of Raja Bahadur (Sanjeev Kumar) who lost his wife.. Raja was a huge fan of music and Sarju was young. She left her Kotha and went to Raja that night, when his wife died. Together they sang a duet and that's how Sarju shared Raja's grief with him. One day, Triloki finds out that Alok has not been going the firm but is instead spending time in the local slums with a former courtesan named Sarju Bai Banaraswali (Chhaya Devi). He cautions Alok about this, but Alok continues to visit Sarju Bai. He and Radhiya get close to each other. When Mr. Gupta (Yunus Parvez) approaches Triloki about taking possession and demolishing the slum area (Gupta had leased his land to the slum area many years ago. The land was next to his mill which is now growing and he needs the land back to expand his own business), Triloki readily agrees and with his expertise manages to sway the Court's decision in Gupta's favor. Meanwhile Triloki sends Alok to meet Gupta and Mrs. Gupta (Lalita Kumari) daughter Sulakshana (Farida Jalal) for a possible marriage. Sulakshana tells Alok that she loves someone else Kishan (Benjamin Gilani) and hence cant marry Alok. As a result of Triloki's legal brain, Sarju Bai and others are rendered homeless. With the fee he receives from Gupta, he asks Alok to purchase a used car for himself. But Alok purchases a horse-carriage and decides to drive it himself to make a living. His enraged father asks him to leave the house. Alok stays with Ganeshi, Radhiya and Sarju Bai and is now considered a member of the family. When Triloki finds out that Alok is doing well in his work, he decides to hire motor coaches to transport people at a much cheaper price, thus cutting off Alok's earnings and perhaps forcing him to reconsider his decision, apologize, and return home to his father. It is on.. Neither Triloki nor Alok are willing to step down from their positions. Soon, Ganeshi and Alok see their incomes dwindle to nothing. In desperation, Ganeshi sabotages the buses by breaking their fuel pipes. The buses catch fire, but Ganeshi is caught and imprisoned for 6 yrs. Sarju Bai begs Alok to marry Radhiya, which he does. Soon Radhiya is pregnant and gives birth to a son. Geeta wants to bring Alok and his son back home, but Triloki is adamant. When Geeta insists, Triloki asks her to leave the house. Ashok goes with Geeta. Yrs pass and Alok & Radha's son (Master Ravi) is now a toddler. Alok has TB and is sick. Radhiya meets Ganeshi in prison, who advises Radhiya to take Munna with her and leave Alok. she and Munna can settle in Banaras with Sarju and Maharaj. This way Alok might be invited back into the house by Triloki, and this could end up saving his life. Radhiya starts nagging and fighting with Alok, but he wont budge at all and reconcile with Triloki. Radhiya takes Ganeshi's advise and leaves for Banaras. One day, Triloki's car is broken and he takes a carriage home, not realizing the Alok is driving it. Back home, father and son exchange pleasantries, before Alok goes on his way. Alok learns that Geeta and Ashok no longer stay with Triloki. Triloki can see that Alok is badly ill. 8 months pass and Alok has not written back to Radhiya. Meanwhile Sulakshana is married to Kishan and visits Alok in the hospital where he is admitted. That day Maharaj also arrives and takes Alok with him to Banaras since Sarju Bai wants to see Alok before she passes away. Sarju and Radhiya are devastated to see Alok in such pitiable state. Eventually Sarju Bai passes away after Raja Bahadur comes to meet her (Maharaj visits Raja Bahadur and begs him to come and meet Sarju) one last time on her death bed. At her eulogy, Alok sings the song that once Sarju sang for Raja Bahadur. Raja is moved and realizes Alok's talent. now Triloki finds himself all alone and wants to go to fetch Geeta and Ashok back. Raja Bahadur meets Triloki at his mansion and tells him that Triloki has made a grave mistake by not understanding Alok's talent. Raja Bahadur tells Triloki that Alok is dying and needs his father. Triloki is moved and visits Alok in Banaras. It is implied that Alok dies shortly thereafter and Triloki returns home with Radhiya and his grandson, who is as good a singer as Alok.

Chhoti Si Baat is a romantic comedy about a painfully shy young man Arun Pradeep (Amol Palekar), who lacks self-confidence and fails to stand up for his convictions, in the process letting all and sundry walk all over him. Arun works as a Chartered Accountant at a private firm named Jackson Tolaram. Arun is a Supervisor, Grade 2. At work, Arun is pushed around by his juniors, who are busy hearing Cricket commentary, while Arun has to catch flak from his boss for unfinished work and has to work late nights to complete it. One fine day he comes across Prabha Narayan (Vidya Sinha) at the bus stop in route to work and finds love at first sight for her. Lacking enough courage and unsure if his feelings are reciprocated, he pines for her from afar and follows her around, at a safe distance (or so he thinks). Prabha, fully aware of his affections, secretly relishes his discomfort, while waiting for him to make the first move. Deepa (Nandita Thakur) is Prabha's best friend at work, and with whom she shares everything that happens with Arun. Arun imagines himself being suave and sophisticated and asking Prabha out on date, but the minute he sees her, he is tongue tied and awkward. One day Prabha comes to Arun's company and Arun believes that she has come to complain about his behavior. But it turns out that Prabha has come from Frank Lloyd company to inquire about some missing invoices. This is start of Arun and Prabha's friendship. While Arun is hopelessly stuck, in comes the suave, brash Nagesh Shastri (Asrani), a colleague of Prabha's, and emerges a serious rival for her attention. It doesn't help that he appears to be miles ahead of Arun in the "race" and is all that Arun is not. Nagesh is gregarious while Arun is shy, he's confident and boastful, while Arun is besieged with self-doubt, he's smooth, while Arun is awkward, he's street smart, while Arun's naive, he's assertive while Arun is timid. Plus, Nagesh owns a scooter and ensures that he has opportunities to offer Prabha a ride, while Arun can only look on. Arun gathers the courage to call Prabha at work and to ask her out for lunch. Nagesh butts in when Arun takes Prabha on a date. He bosses around, orders all the food, chats Prabha up, and leaves Arun to pay the bill. Nagesh also invites Prabha to partner with him on the inter office table tennis tournament. Arun even has dreams of shooting down Nagesh in cold blood. A gullible Arun, trying to match Nagesh with a motorbike of his own, is conned into buying a dud (the garage owner had been trying to sell it for 6 months and was even contemplating selling it to a junkyard before Arun came along and was conned into buying it for Rs 3000), further embarrassing him in front of Prabha. Nagesh tells Arun that the bike is not even worth Rs 300. He seeks salvation in astrology, tarot cards, dubious god-men only to land with egg on his face. In desperation, he finally turns to Colonel Julius Nagendranath Wilfred Singh (Ashok Kumar) of Khandala, who has made it his mission to assist those in love find their true destiny. Colonel is famous for having seen the world and people come from all over the country to seek his counsel. The location of Colonel's mansion is a bit of a trek from the railway station of Khandala. It is by design to test the resolve of the person who has come to seek guidance. Colonel Singh agrees to help Arun and thus begins the turnaround as Singh begins to transform Arun into a mature, confident young man through meticulously designed lesson plans, peppered with philosophy and "hands on" training. Training includes stuff like: Chess and Tennis training, how to check if the girl is interested in you, how to be authoritative, how to get the girl from drawing room to bedroom, eating with chopsticks etc. Col Singh tells Arun that he has graduated, and he considers Arun as his own son. He used to love a girl named Prabha and he let her go as he couldn't gather the courage to make her his. He wants Arun to succeed. A "born-again" Arun returns to Bombay with a distinguished swagger, brimming with newly discovered self-esteem, ready to take on the world and win over Prabha. Arun starts using his tricks to frustrate Nagesh, keeps him waiting, gets him to pay for lunch (by switching restaurants on him where Arun has the upper hand and Nagesh doesn't know how to use chopsticks) and so on. At work, he is very firm with his subordinates and gets them to do his bidding. He even convinces the garage that the dud bike he bought is a vintage and a customer willing to make big money on it. The garage buys the bike back and Arun makes a profit on it. Arun also introduces Prabha to Col Singh. Arun also beats Nagesh at Tennis and chess. Nagesh notices Col Singh everywhere. Nagesh finds out Col Singh's truth and his path from drawing room to bedroom in 3 easy steps. Nagesh tells Prabha everything about what Arun is planning to do. Nagesh tells how Arun to invite her to his house. He will be alone and romantic music will be playing. Arun will light a cigarette and drop the match on Prabha. She will have to remove her India traditional wear. A knock on the door will force Prabh in the bedroom, where Arun will push her into having sex with him. Prabha decides to go and see if Arun truly loves her. when Col Singh finds out that Arun has invited Prabha, he rushes to stop him as Prabha really loves him and he doesn't need to play tricks on her. Prabha enters Arun's house and sees all the preps he has made to bed her. Arun lights the match, but can't do this to Prabh and walks out. Prabha smiles. She hugs Arun. Col Singh and Nagesh arrive, but all is well. Prabha and Arun have decided to get married.
