Pratiksha, 27, arrives in London three months after her marriage and shortly finds herself entrapped in a vortex of lies, deceit and danger. If she does not get out of the mess, everything in her life is at risk.

A middle-aged man, who is facing problems in his life, visits his father who is suffering from a neurological disorder. This reunion changes their lives when several closed chapters are reopened.

The story begins in 2013. Abby Sen is a young man who loses his seventh job as a television producer. A scientist volunteers to take him back in time while he is searching for another job. Thanks to the scientist, Abby travels 33 years back to 1980. Thereafter, a series of unforeseen incidents and intricacies of relationships make his life as eventful as ever, but flung between the two worlds both in his personal and professional life, Abby represents the predicament of a man caught in the fierce struggle for survival in this modern age.

Dr. Somshankar Roy, a social scientist, engages Swagato and Anwesha to create a mock crisis on the streets. The aim is to observe reactions of people to different forms of crisis happening around them, and to analyse and derive conclusions about human behaviour from them. But all theories and deductions go astray when they come face to face with a real crisis in their own lives and cannot decipher whether the crisis is mock or real.

A 72-year-old man, detached from his own kin, reaches out to an extended family by lending ears to people sitting on a park bench, as he influences their thoughts and in turn, their lives.

The film is a story of five characters who are devastated by the crisis they face in their life. All of them show distinct human emotions and turmoil. All these characters have one common thread who will change the face of their lives.

`Aborto` talks about the relentless pursuit of prominence in one`s career, and the resulting alienation from loved ones in terms of sensitivity, feeling and emotion. The film portrays a vortex of emotions, drama and relationships between Shyamal, Charu, Hari, Duli and Runu, characters which were influenced by protagonists in various Satyajit Ray`s Films.
