With 'Save Tigers, Save Forest, and Save Animals' as its basic concept, the movie explores the life of Maasthi, who is the 'Kavadiga' of Drona, the elephant that leads the Jamboo Savari at Dasara Festival in Mysuru every year. The movie sheds light on the poaching activities that took place in the BRT forest range in the 90s and how Maasthi fights against all odds to preserve the forest and the animals.

The film is based on a popular novel written by Dr. Dodderi Venkatagiri Rao. It lays emphasis on family and marriage, as Institutions in the present time. Set in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, the movie revolves around three people Akarsh ( Vijay Suriya ), Achari ( Mayuri Kyatari ), Aditi ( Kavya Shetty ).

An orphan slum boy who is adopted by an old lady who finds him on a footpath. She brings him to live with her in slums.
