Their journey together ensues romance and comic confusion. Anjali Khanna had always suspected her husband, Sanjay, of cheating on her, and flirting with other women. In order to keep an eye on him and his activities, she asks her friend, who is also named Anjali Khanna (Rani Mukherji) to go abroad under her name, which she does so. A man realizes that India is completely alien to his London-raised granddaughter and arranges her marriage there. She gets a guide to pose as her fiance and falls for him. After the passing away of his son and Caucasian daughter-in-law, London-based widower Purshotam Agarwal brings up his granddaughter, Namrata, on his own. When she matures, he pressurizes her to get married to Tikamgarh-based Ranveer's son. She travels to India, and much to his chagrin refuses to get married to the boy of his choice, and instead brings back a wealthy male named Romi, who she claims is her fiancé. Sultan is a kind-hearted and generous man who was compelled to become a gangster. He has trained Damodar to be a gangster, but Damodar has become the very opposite of Sultan, terrorizing the poor, and using his influence to get what he wants, and kills whoever he wants to. Sultan befriends Inspector Rajeshwar, and surrenders himself to the police, and serves a 10 year sentence in prison. After this sentence, Sultan returns only to find that Damodar has taken over the entire underworld, and is not even intimidated, nor respectful of the man who got him where he is now.

Badal and Tina, college-going youngsters, fall in love but Tina`s wealthy father disapproves. When all else fails, he gets Badal arrested under false charges to sabotage his life.

The village of Dhauladhar is situated in the mountains set among some of most scenic beauties that nature has to offer. Inder (Tinnu Anand) is a TV serial director who arrives in Dhauladhar to film his latest episode. He hires a guide (Sudhir Pandey) who helps him scout for potential shooting locations. He takes Inder to a large banyan tree which has 2 graves under its vast canopy. An old Medicant (Sanjay Dutt) lives under the banyan tree, who says that the graves belong to Sahibaan and Gopi and proceeds to narrate their story. Sahibaan (Madhuri Dixit) lives a poor lifestyle in a small village in rural India along with her mom (Anjana Mumtaz), dad Balakram (Satyendra Kapoor), and a mentally challenged cousin Kheru (Javed Khan). Balakram makes a living selling dolls. Sahibaan is in love with a homeless laborer, Gopi (Rishi Kapoor), who lives near temples and eats whatever the villagers give him. Gopi plays a melodious tune on his flute, which attracts Sahibaan to him. Gopi works as a shepherd to earn some money for his sustenance. Sahibaan is childish in her behavior and doesn't realize that she is a grown woman now. Sahibaan is 18 years old but insists that her father carries her on his shoulders and plays marbles with the children of the village. Gopi admonishes her and one day she falls into a river. Gopi looks at her water drenched body and sends her home. Gopi is very afraid of the water and says that he doesn't know how to swim. That day she grows up, throws her marbles away and starts helping her mother around the house. Sahibaan learns to cook food and sew clothes as well. She expresses her love to Gopi, who accepts. The area is ruled by ruthless killer, alcoholic and womanizer Kunwar Vijay Pal Singh (Sanjay Dutt). He is sympathetic towards the poor and has a rivalry with the landlord of the nearby province Tikka (Kiran Kumar). Tikka is considered ruthless towards his workers and Vijay stands up to him and his goons and fights for the rights of his village's workers. Vijay increases the daily wages for his workers from Rs 1.5/day to Rs 3/day. Due to this all of Tikka's workers come to work for Vijay and this enrages Tikka. Tikka forcibly takes the workers back to him lumber mills by whipping them and torturing their families. In retaliation, Vijay kills one of Tikka's supervisors. Mrs Tikka (Beena Banerjee) & Tikka's sister Rajkumari Razee (Sonu Walia) live with Tiika. Every night Vijay ravishes a new prostitute and sends her away the next morning. Tikka sends an assassin to Kill Vijay, but Vijay kills him instead. Tikka bribes Inspector (Mangal Dhillon) to open a murder investigation against Vijay. Inspector tries to get Vijay's fingerprints on his gun, in order to frame him, but Vijay is too clever and had already worn gloves. One day while chasing a rabbit, Sahibaan ends up in the palace ground of Vijay & is abducted by his guards and left at the mercy of Vijay, but Sahibaan manages to escape. Vijay, however, is unable to get her out of his mind and asks Diwan Durga Singh (Bharat Kapoor) to search high and low for her. The Diwan is able to find her during a Mela and takes several men, sweetmeats, jewelry and clothing to propose to a delighted and disbelieving Balakram and his wife. The same day Gopi was planning to ask for Sahibaan's hand in marriage from her dad. Meanwhile at the Mela, Razee was also present and was attracted to Gopi. Sahibaan's parents are angered when Sahibaan refuses to marry Vijay and asks them to get her to marry Gopi. When Gopi proposes to Balakram, Gopi is humiliated, beaten and asked to leave. Diwan returns to Vijay, who decides to kill Gopi. Vijay locates Gopi, beats him, and throws him in the river. Razee finds Gopi at a riverbank, barely alive and persuades Tikka to take him home. When Sahibaan says that Vijay had attempted to molest her, Balakram refuses to permit her to marry Vijay, despite of the fact that Vijay promises to stop drinking alcohol and having his way with women. Vijay forbids Durga Singh from abducting Sahibaan again, as he truly loves her. Both Balakram and Sahibaan set out to try and locate Gopi, as Sahibaan is convinced that he is alive. They find Gopi's clothes near a funeral pyre (these clothes were discarded by Razee as they were drenched in blood) and assumes that Gopi is now dead. Meanwhile Gopi gains consciousness under Razee's care. Tikka finds that Vijay is in love with Sahibaan. Gopi overhears this and runs after Sahibaan. Razee stops him and tells him that she loves him, but Gopi has already promised himself to Sahibaan. She convinces Gopi to come back and promises to take him to Sahibaan once the rains subside. Tikka agrees to help Razee as he wants to deny Vijay at all costs. Meanwhile Sahibaan gives up and agrees to marry Vijay. Tikka confronts Vijay but is instead beaten up by Vijay. But this gives time for Gopi to reach Sahibaan. Razee helps Gopi and Sahibaan escape, but Vijay pursues them. Durga stops Gopi and Sahibaan by putting rocks in their horse carriage path. Razee dies when the carriage overturns. Durga tries to convince Sahibaan, but she jumps into the river to escape. Vijay arrives and shoots Durga. Gopi jumps after Sahibaan. Vijay jumps to save both but can only flush out their dead bodies.

About the movie Badshah Khan falls in love with Benazir, who demands he take revenge on her father`s murderer. Khan does so but gets caught by the Jailor.

Vijay follows Anju to Bombay from Shimla, where he gets the news from her father that she died three years ago. Born on the 17th of September in Uttar Pradesh, Vijay Rai leads a wealthy lifestyle along with his dad, Ajay Kumar, who are now settled in scenic Simla. Since Vijay is 25 years old, his dad wants him to get married, but Vijay wants to find his own soul mate. He does find her in Bombay-based Anju, both meet and fall in love with each other. When Anju is informed that her dad is ill, she returns home, and leaves a note for Vijay to contact her there. Upon receiving her note, Vijay departs for Bombay and reaches Anju's residence. He is received by her dad, Dinanath, who informs him that Anju has been dead for over 3 years now. A disbelieving Vijay, assisted by CBI Inspector Jayant Mathur, decides to trace Anju. He and Jayant do find her, but she claims that she has never met Vijay and identifies herself as Mona, a Goa-based dancer/singer. A wealthy Vijay meets Anju is Simla and both fall in love.Anju suddenly flies to Mumbai to be with her ailing father leaving a letter to Vijay along with her address.Vijay reaches Mumbai and meets Anju'father and is shocked to know from him that Anju passed away three years back A distressed Vijay can't believe it and sees Anju on many occasions who disappears like wind.Ispector Jay Mahtur decides to help him but all evidences show that Anju has indeed passed away three years back.One fine day Vijay gets call from Anju saying she is alive and her father lied to him as he hates wealthy people.Vijay and Anju decide to spend quality time with each other and after leaving Anju home he realizes that his car key is missing and Anju has taken the key and his coat with her.Vijay goes to her house and meets her father who comforts him and tells that such incidents have also happened with other men in past who had met Anju.Vijay sees Anju"s ghostly figure in the house and follows her only to find that the his coat and the gown which Anju was wearing are hanging on a tree. Bansiram refuses to sell, and the Zamindar's son wants it by hook or by crook. Bansiram appeals to the British for protection, which they provide, and Bansiram is thus able to save his property. Shortly thereafter the Zamindar's son passes away, and his look-alike son, Devraj comes to take-over the estate. Devraj does not consider taking-over Bansiram's land as a priority, and years go by. The Zamindar's soul, unable to complete it's task during this life-time, wonders around in anguish and pain - waiting. Maan Singh and Prithvi Singh's families have been locked in a property dispute in a court in India. When the Court gives a verdict in favor of Prithvi, Maan hires a bandit named Panna Singh to kill Prithvi and all of his family. Two wealthy businessmen, Prithvi Singh and Maan Singh, battle in a court of law for many years to acquire a plot of land. When the court finally rules in favor of Prithvi, Maan is enraged and hires a bandit, Panna Singh, to massacre Prithvi and his family members. Fortunately, Prithvi manages to survive and retaliates by killing Maan Singh. Shortly afterward, Prithvi is apprehended by the police and his case is called up in court; he's on the verge of winning when Maan's police-officer brother Suraj testifies against him, resulting in him getting the death penalty. But Prithvi manages to escape, be with his pregnant wife when she delivers their daughter Chandra, launch a sudden attack on Daku Panna, and make good his escape with his daughter, only to become an outlaw. Years later Chandra meets Suraj's son Akash and they fall in love, but when their fathers learn of their relationship, all restrictions are placed on them not to meet with each other, and their fathers hurry to arrange other marriages for them. Meanwhile, Panna Singh is still alive and willing to go to any length to kill Prithvi; meanwhile, Suraj is looking to close in on Prithvi to avenge his brother's death.

Durjan Singh lives happily with his wife Radha and new born daughter but his world turns upside down when Radha is raped by Lala Manohar Lal following which she commits suicide.Durjan kills Lala while his son Vijay swears to revenge his fathers death,Durjan turns a Dacoit terrorizing the region once an injured Durjan takes shelter in the Church and requests father D'Mello to take care of his daughter who agrees on a condition that he wont ever meet her.Years later Durjan sees his daughter Ranjana has grown up under care of father D'Mello and is eager to meet her, he also finds that she is in love with Rakesh.Durjan finds that Rakesh's father isn't keen to marry them for being the daughter of a Dacoit and kidnaps Rakesh who in turn tells him that Ranjana will be heart broken if she finds her father is Dacoit Durjan Singh and so does happen.Durjan Singh and his gang surrender themselves and are imprisoned for few years,when he is released from of jail he goes to stay with Rakesh and Ranjana who are now married with a kid but Ranjana isn't happy to welcome him.Rakesh gets framed by Vijay for having a relationship with Rita following which Ranjana leaves the house but Durjan clears their misunderstandings. Things are back to normalcy but old habits die soon as Durjan is caught while stealing expensive diamonds from an exhibition where Rakesh is the security head following which both land up in the jail.

Raju, John, Suleman and Shakti seize a hidden treasure of the deceased Anil Kumar. They face Kumar's widow Sharada who identifies Raju as her lost son. They then have to deal with Bandit Devi Singh.

Inspector Vinod has a tough time dealing a murder case and is also frequently warned by a mysterious caller.
