About the movie Guru is an athlete with Extrasensory Perception (ESP), whose dreams eventually come true. Haunted by a vision of himself stabbing his fiancee, he flees to Mumbai to protect her. There, he discovers a look-alike who plans to steal his life. The doppelganger travels to Chennai and successfully impersonates Guru, tricking his family and his fiancee. When Guru returns to expose the imposter, no one believes him. A tense battle for identity follows, leading to the moment Guru's dark premonition finally comes to pass. After a tragic accident, the imposter makes one final move to replace Guru forever. Whether the real Guru can reclaim his identity remains to be seen.
