She came from Hyderabad and started in small time regional films before hitting it big in Bollywood. Her parents are retired and live in a small south-Indian town. Ziya has worked with all the big-name banners in the industry and has done a wide variety of movies ranging from commercial to artistic. Her live-in relationship is about to break up with Neel (Rahul Bose) who has groomed her for a film career. She wants a child with him, but he does not want any responsibilities. Neel says that he was only a doormat in Ziya's life, and he never knew whom she truly loved. He says that he invested 3 years in Ziya's career and to proper her to stardom and yet she did not take even 3 minutes to acquire the starry airs. Diya Rao (Divya Dutta) is Ziya's younger sister and knows that Ziya can be a bit moody. Soon Neel moves on and finds another girlfriend Nandita (Priya Badlani). Nandita's uncle Harry (Rakesh Bedi) is a rich industrialist and is putting up a big project for Neel and Nandita. Ziya is spying on Neel & Nandita and knows that Nandita is also cheating on Neel. While Ziya was watching the CD on her home entertainment system, Diya also saw the video and knew Nandita's secret. Diya is a simpleton and repeats whatever Ziya says. Ziya tells Diya that men like Neel only entertain themselves with girls like Ziya, but for marriage they want a "pure" girl coming from a high-class family. Ziya calls Neel and asks him to come by one last time to pick up his stuff which is still lying in Ziya's home. Before Neel arrives, Ziya shreds all of Neel's favorite suits to pieces. When Neel arrives, Ziya's mood changes again and she seduces him. Ziya says that she never acted with starry airs in front of Neel, but Neel says that Ziya was always thinking of the male actors that she was working with, which made him insecure. Ziya says that Neel was never emotionally present in the relationship and was never invested in making it work. Ziya knows that Neel would have asked Nandita to come and pick him up in an hour, and that she would be waiting by the front gate. Ziya again switches on her charm and says that it is their last night together and that they should make it special. Neel and Ziya have sex one last time before Neel moves on the next morning. Ziya's die-hard fan is Rehana (Tabu). Rehana even breaks through studio security to meet Ziya on the sets of her latest movie. The working girl must decide between the two in a romantic finale that has a twist in the tale. The film begins with Seenu (Ravi Teja), who runs an advertising agency in Hyderabad, setting off on a journey, distributing wedding invitations for his forthcoming wedding. Along the way, he encounters various individuals from his past, who bring back memories of three women that have affected his love life. First, Seenu goes to his village in Andhra Pradesh where he spent his childhood. He remembers the antics he had done during his childhood, his school and his first love Vimala (Mallika). After finishing school, Vimala got married and she never met Seenu again. In the present day, Seenu invites everyone from his village for his wedding including his friends, his old school master and Vimala, her husband and her three children. Then, Seenu goes to a village in Kerala where he moved after his father Sriram (Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao), a postmaster, was transferred there. He had his college education there. He was constantly bullied by the students there as he did not know Malayalam, but eventually managed to become friends with a fellow student Satyam (Sunil), whose mother tongue was also Telugu. Satyam served him as a translator. Seenu soon fell in love with Lathika (Gopika), a Malayali girl. Lathika too reciprocated his feelings and soon their relationship becomes intimate. However, when Lathika's family came to know of this, they drove out Seenu's family from the village and got her married to a local youth who also had a crush on her. In the present day, Seenu reunites with Satyam in Kerala and invites him for his wedding. When they arrive at Lathika's house to invite her too, Seenu becomes upset to see that his former love had become a widow (her husband had died in a boating accident a couple of years prior). After they were thrown out of the village in Kerala, Seenu and his parents moved to Hyderabad. Seenu had not got over Lathika and became an emotional wreck, and started to smoke and drink. He remained an emotional wreck until he met Divya (Bhumika Chawla), who worked in an advertisement agency headed by one Prakash (Prakash Raj). Soon Seenu and Divya became close friends and Divya instilled confidence, unearthed his hidden talents and taught him the lesson that one has to go ahead in life without looking back. Soon, Divya revealed that her widowed mother was a paralytic patient and that she worked to take care of her mother. After Divya's mother died, Seenu, who had fallen in love with Divya, proposed her, but she rejected it, saying that she was happy to be just a good friend. Finally, Seenu decided to get married to a girl of his parents choice, Sandhya (Kanika), for which he is distributing invitations in the present day. Everyone he invited, including Vimala, Lathika and Divya, attend his wedding. Siddharth is forced to stay with Esha by his parents, but he doesn't like his brother-in-law Rajeev (Mukesh Rishi). It was an arranged marriage and the youngsters in the house didn't like an unimpressive Rajeev as a suitable match for Esha. Rajeev is a simple, bespectacled man and Esha is extremely beautiful. During their first meeting, Rajeev had heard Sidhu complain to his father that Rajeev is not a good match for Esha. Yet, Esha is happy with Rajeev and has never been given the opportunity to complain about anything. When Siddharth gets to Delhi, the unsaid tension continues between him and Rajeev. Rajeev gives his scooter to Siddharth for conveyance. Rajeev does say much to Sidhu as he is concerned that Sidhu will be offended. Sidhu refuses the scooter and says that he will take the bus. Siddharth's spoiled friend Ganesh (Vijay Raaz) trails behind him and arrives in Delhi later, after Ganesh was kicked out of the house by his father Ram Prasad Shastri (Aanjjan Srivastav) for being a total and useless bum. Ram Prasad laments that Ganesh was notorious from kindergarten through to college, and even now could not hold on to a job. Ganesh says that he is not interested in becoming a bookkeeper for Rs 20/day, as the job can be done by a simple calculator. Siddharth, through perceived destiny and chance, runs into Jhanvi (Bhumika Chawla) on a DTC bus. Siddharth falls in love with Jhanvi, who belongs to a conservative Haryanvi family. Sidhu and Jhanvi keep running into each other at different spots in the city, but Jhanvi manages to hide from Sidhu, leaving him confused. Eventually Sidhu figures out the route that Jhanvi takes to her college and waits for her. Jhanvi's elder brother Ganpat (Mahesh Manjrekar) is a head of the family who is very protective of his family, mainly his sister, after the loss of their parents. Ganpat has already cut the hand of a Romeo who dared to follow Jhanvi and gave her a love letter. He is very critical of inter cast marriages and metes out the same treatment to other boys who fall in love with girls of his community. Only Ganpat's uncle (Goga Kapoor) is able to control his limitless rage. Initially, Jhanvi brushes off Siddharth's constant attempts to be with her (in the bus, in the temple, at the bookstore or at the mall) in order to keep him safe from Ganpat. An encounter with the thugs (Ganpat sensed that some boy was harassing Jhanvi at college and send his goons) leads Jhanvi to encourage Siddharth to run. Sidhu instead rises to the challenge and fights off all the thugs when they attack him the next time around. Jhanvi warns Sidhu that he has made an enemy out of her brother Ganpat and tells Sidhu to return to Allahabad. Ganpat issues instructions to kill Siddharth, but he is up for the challenge and inflicts severe injuries on the goons who attack him. Siddharth and Jhanvi keep meeting with each other, hiding and running from Jhanvi's brother and his men, while Siddharth fights off any thugs that follow him and threaten to hurt him or his family. While Ganpat goes to threaten Esha and her husband Rajeev (Mukesh Rishi), Siddharth threatens him back viciously as he was one step ahead of him and planned to retaliate (though falsely) by killing Ganpat's family, excluding Jhanvi. Rajeev eventually sees Siddharth with Jhanvi and understands the entire matter. Ganpat's uncle tells Ganpat that they cannot afford another mistake against Sidhu as then people would stop fearing them. He tells Ganpat to bide his time and strike at the right moment. Jhanvi overhears this conversation and is ecstatic that someone forced his brother to take a step back, as this has never happened before. Till now Ganpat felt that Siddharth was chasing Jhanvi, but one of his men sees them together and Ganpat realizes that Jhanvi also loves Siddharth. Eventually, Ganpat decides to use his thugs to beat up a boy who was giving Siddharth a hard time in school, thus giving the impression to the principal of the school that Siddharth is a thug. Siddharth is suspended in return. Then they hit Esha with a van and frame her husband for him to lose his job all at the same time. Siddharth and Jhanvi agree they should elope and get married before she gets married off. Meanwhile, Ganesh constantly gets himself conned (his suitcase is stolen a few minutes after he arrives in Delhi and Sidhu's address and telephone number were in the suitcase) and goes through various harsh realities about life. In the end, Ganesh loses all his money, his watch, his clothes, and a kidney in his hope to meet his friend Siddharth. One day, Ganesh runs into Sidhu who was in a bus. But the bus drove away while Ganesh was describing his struggles to Sidhu. All his experiences end in the form of making Ganesh accidentally a "Petticoat Baba" (he was drafted into a porn movie without his will and had to escape in a petticoat when the police arrived), a saint who is believed by the people (not by Ganesh) to be living in the Himalayas for 300 years. In the climax, Siddharth hatches a plan to bait Ganpat and his men to the wrong area and marry Jhanvi with her remaining family members (Ganpat's wife (Shweta Menon)) who care for her and Siddharth. Ganpat gets wind of this plan (he sees them at a railway crossing) and tracks them down. The newlyweds now have to run from a mass number of thugs. This leads to a final battle which ends with a one-on-one fight with Siddharth and Ganpat. Siddharth wins and refuses to deal Ganpat the death blow, allowing him to live. Ganpat allows Jhanvi and Siddharth to leave, finally accepting Siddharth as his brother in-law. Siddharth and Jhanvi leave married.

He lives with his brother Ajay (Sachin Khedekar), his sister-in-law (Savita Prabhune), and their child. Radhe's brother is a decent, family man. Radhe used to study at the local City college, but still controls the entire student politics by ensuring that his candidates win in the student body elections. Radhe is a violent man, but often performs apparently good deeds, such as beating up sexual harassers. Radhe is liked by the studious types in college as he keeps the criminal elements out of student politics and provides a safe environment within college premises. Ajay does not like how Radhe resorts to violence on behalf of other students at the college. Ajay wants Radhe to find a job and move on with his life. Nirjara is a new student at the college who is attending classes from out of town. She comes to college daily by train. She has a single friend Indu (Indu Verma). Radhe meets Nirjara during her ragging session, which he conducts for all newcomers. Nirjara likes peacock feathers. Radhe also supports a mentally unstable beggar (Radhika Chaudhary). A local rival goon insults the beggar by dropping her skirt and embarrassing her publicly. Radhe takes offense at this and beats the rival goon mercilessly. Nirjara sees Radhe's violent side during this fight and is scared. Radhe falls in love with Nirjara Bhardwaj (Bhumika Chawla), a BA student at his former college and the daughter of a poor temple priest (Saurabh Dubey). Radhe comes across Nirjara across many different social situations, and even at her father's temple. Radhe likes her innocent demeanor & helps her a few times (he stops the catcalls during Nirjara's poem recitation at college annual fest, gets her an exam admit card when she loses it), and she seems to like him. One day, Radhe proposes to her and jokingly remarks that he would beat up her father if he doesn't agree to their marriage. Nirjara is too shocked to say much (and doesn't hear pretty much anything else that Radhe says to her including the actual proposal for marriage) and utters "Yes" when Radhe asks her if she was listening to him. Radhe interprets this as her acceptance of the proposal. Later, he and his friends intimidate Nirjara's fiance Rameshwar (Ravi Kishan) who is a junior priest at the temple and a very docile person. Rameshwar was dropping Nirjara to college on his moped when he was spotted by Radhe. Radhe tells Rameshwar that he is going to marry Nirjara and warns him to stay away from her. The next day, Radhe brings Nirjara a gift, but she tells him that she does not love him and calls him a goon and yells at him publicly. A heartbroken Radhe subsequently tries to talk to her, but she refuses to engage in a conversation. Nirjara has a sister Mamta (Indira Krishnan), whose husband Atmaram (Dinesh Kaushik) is demanding Rs 2 Lakhs from her & her dad for her to be with her son Rahul. Since Mamta or her father don't have that kind of money, Mamata is thrown out of the house and is living with Nirjara and her father. Atmaram used to ask for Rs 20-30K, but now his demands have become more and more outrageous. Mamta tries for a bank loan but has no physical assets for a guarantee. Radhe's friends suggest that he give up rowdyism and violence to impress Nirjara. Radhe tries to control his violence whenever he is in front of Nirjara. Aslam admonishes Radhe when he fails to defend his own friend Chander in front of a rival goon, because Nirjara was there. This leads to a fight between Aslam and Radhe and cause a friction in their friendship. Later, Radhe apologizes to Aslam and Chander. One day, Radhe roughs up a brothel owner who has opened up a brothel in the middle of a Brahmin society and is polluting the social atmosphere. Nirjara's elder sister Mamta, who is in need of money, is nearly tricked into prostitution, when she visits the brothel to meet a man who promises her a loan. Radhe, who does not know that she is Nirjara's sister, visits the same brothel to find a brothel customer who was harassing random women outside the brothel. He saves Mamta from being arrested during a police raid. She tells him that her husband Aatmaram has evicted her and is demanding money to give her the custody of their son. The next day, Radhe beats up Aatmaram, forcing him to take her back and to stop harassing her. Rameshwar sees this and tells Nirjara that Radhe is a good, selfless man, who truly loves her. Unaware of this conversation, Radhe abducts Nirjara so that she would listen to him express his feelings for her. Nirjara initially feels intimidated, but ultimately falls in love with him. Subsequently, the brothel owner (Mahendra Verma) and his goons attack Radhe to take revenge on him for trying to shut down their business. Radhe suffers from brain damage during the attack and loses his mental balance. His family admits him to a religious institution for mental patients, as Nirjara and his friends pray for him. At one point, Radhe's mental state returns to normal, but the wardens do not understand this and beat him up. Nirjara visits the institution and sees him in a pitiful condition while he is sleeping. Convinced that Radhe is not going to get well, Radhe's brother asks Nirjara to forget him and marry Rameshwar. On the day of Nirjara's wedding with Rameshwar, Radhe escapes from the institution, and arrives at her home, only to find that she has committed suicide. Radhe then allows himself to be taken back to the institution despite his family and friends trying to persuade him otherwise. The epilogue shows Radhe, now old and still in the institution, tying peacock feathers in Nirjara's memory.

Chandru is hesitant as she is the sister of his best friend. Chandru seeks the help of Krishna Murthy to avoid Amrita. Some brushes with the law force Aravindan and Chandru to lie low in Hyderabad for a couple of days, where they and Krishnamoorthy take up jobs as painters in a mansion under contractor Bhavani Shankar, who is Krishnamurthy's paternal uncle. Aravind falls in love with Padmini, who lives in the mansion, though Padmini only considers him as a friend; nevertheless, she is grateful to him when he saves her from accidental electrocution. However, Padmini's cousin, Swathi has a crush on Aravind and is enraged when she realizes that he is in love with her Padmini. Swathi sends false letters to him in Padmini's name, making him believe that his love is reciprocated. So, when Padmini suddenly gets engaged to another man, Chandru stands up for Aravind's love and insults Padmini in front of her entire family, causing her engagement to get canceled. This makes Padmini decide to marry Aravind but to take revenge on Chandru by breaking his and Aravind's friendship. But during their marriage, Aravind and Padmini realize that Swathi is behind all the mishaps which had taken place and that Chandru is innocent. Padmini reconciles with Chandru, and Chandru's and Amrita's wedding is fixed. Gowtham (Sriman) is Aravind's cousin who lusts for Amrita. He plans to separate Aravind and Chandru so that he can marry Amrita. He first sets Amrita's sari on fire while she is cooking in the kitchen. Chandru blames Padmini for the mishap as she was in the kitchen with Amrita at the time, even though Padmini is innocent, no one, including Aravind, believes Chandru. Gowtham, then, turns his eye on the annual bullock race in which Chandru is taking part, by loosening the wheels on Chandru's cart to cause a serious accident and frame Padmini as the culprit, thus creating a wedge between Chandru and Aravind. Unfortunately for Gowtham, Aravind decides to take part in the race in Chandru's place since Chandru is to be married, and manages to win despite using the broken bullock cart. Chandru accuses Padmini of trying to kill him. Padmini threatens to leave the house if Aravind remains friends with Chandru and does not throw him out of the house. Aravind then reveals to her that he had accidentally killed Chandru's deaf-and-dumb younger brother (Master Abhinai) when they were children, which traumatized him so much that he never told anyone about it. Since then, he has been looking out for Chandru out of the guilt that he had no one else in his life anymore. Gowtham overhears their conversation and tells Chandru about it to anger him. Chandru fights with Aravind, breaks their friendship, and leaves the house. Aravind tries to convince Chandru to return and marry Amrita, even if he cannot repair their friendship. However, in the process, Aravind falls from a cliff and seemingly dies. Although Chandru tries to save Aravind, he blames himself for Aravind's fall. Chandru later realizes that his brother was accidentally killed and that Aravind was not intentionally at fault. Five years later, Chandru is a Major in the Indian Army and has never returned to Aravind's home since his supposed death. He receives a letter from Kimoo stating that Aravind is not dead, but in a vegetative state, not responding to anyone and only sitting in a corner. Chandru immediately leaves for Aravind's house, where he also learns that Aravind and Padmini have a young son whose name is Chandru, in tribute to their friendship. Meanwhile, Gowtham, who has been torturing Padmini and Amrita since Aravind went into the vegetative state, finds out that Chandru has returned and beats him up. On hearing Chandru's cries, Aravind wakes up and subdues Gowtham and his goons. In the end, Aravind, Chandru, and Krishnamurthy, as well as Aravind and Padmini, and Chandru and Amrita, are reunited happily.
