After Quantrell's gang is almost destroyed, two of the captured members agree to join the Arizona Rangers to help finish the job. Murphy plays an ex-Quantrell's Raider who's released from jail with buddy Cooper to be deputized as Arizona Rangers in order to hunt down the remnants of the gang, rumored to be hiding out in a town "neer dee border", in the words of the loose-lipped saloon dancer. The goons are found hiding in an Indian mission. Murphy and Cooper pretend to want to rejoin the gang, but the bad guys catch on and brutally beat Cooper, who protects Murphy's true sentiments to the death. —Rita Richardson

A lawman stages a prison break so a gang of imprisoned robbers will lead him to their hidden loot. Billy Carson gets the Governor to let Daggett and his gang escape from prison in hopes that they will lead him to the money they got when they robbed the bank. Billy and Fuzzy trail the gang to an old mine, but it looks like Billy's plan will fail when Daggett is unable to remember where he hid the money. —Maurice VanAuken <mvanauken@a1access.net> The Link Daggett gang is sent to prison for the robbery of the Piedmont County Bank, but the bank's money is not recovered, and the ranchers face ruin. Billy Carson, a friend of the ranchers, conceives a plan to recover the money. Daggett and his gang are allowed to escape, and Billy and his pal Fuzzy Jones trail them to the Wild Horse Mine. Daggett is angered and puzzled to find that the money is not where he left it in the mine. Then, a mysterious voice drives Daggett and his gang from the mine. Billy learns that the mine belongs to Ed Garnet, an old miner who fanatically believes it contains fabulous riches. Billy's meeting with Garnet's daughter, Marian, leads him to Walters, the banker who refuses to allow the ranchers more time on their mortgage notes. A wildcatter, broke but slick, manages to acquire a lease for oil-rich land but ruthless competitors sabotage his oil company any way they can. Wildcatter Johnny Maverick and his pal, Chicopee Nevins are speeding toward Antril Bend, a small town in the oil region, that has offered $25,000 to the person bringing in the first oil well.They accidentally find oil on the town's outskirts, and Johnny writes a $4000 hot check for the property. He covers that by having Chicopee sell his half interest to oil promoter Gus Sloane for $7000. Sloane hires a crew to start drilling on his half of the property, with Johnny's old enemy, Mile Rawlins as his foreman. Rawlins sabotages Johnny's rig, causing Chicopee's death. Confidence man Oliver Westbrook and his confederate, Nan Dearing hatch a plan to swindle Johnny by having Nan pose as Chicopee's sister. It works and Johnny makes Nan his partner. Another accident staged by Rawlins forces Johnny to sign a note to get money for repair. Nan falls in love with Johnny and abandons her plan to swindle him. As the note deadline approaches, Johnny learns that Sloane has purchased it as a means of taking over the well.
