Although India obtained freedom from the British in 1947, Goa and its territories are still ruled by the Portuguese. A group of revolutionaries want a free Goa and are thus wanted by the Portuguese administration. Among them are Purandare, Narvekar, and Dinanath, and when Dinanath's whereabouts are known to the police, he escapes with his young son Ramdas and goes to their hideout. With Purandare's assistance they manage to escape, but they're shot. A horrified Ramdas watches Purandare shoot his father dead, and this is how he starts hating revolutionaries. Ramdas changes his name to Ronnie, befriends a girl named Julie, and grows up taking up crime as his career. He soon prospers and lets the villagers also prosper with him. Then when the Police Commissioner is shot dead, Ronnie helps the authorities apprehend his killer, a young man named Shekhar. He is arrested, tried in Court, and sentenced to be hanged. At this point Ronnie finds out that the people he assisted in the past are all against him and sympathize with the revolutionaries. This takes him towards the Portuguese government, which makes him a police officer. His first assignment includes killing some senior wanted revolutionaries. He starts to influence the villagers to become like him. When the police commissioner is shot dead, he helps the police apprehend the killer: a revolutionary named Shekhar, who is tried in court, proven guilty, and sentenced to be hanged. Ajay comes across a vehicle that was driving over the speed limit, he chases it and forces it to a stop. The driver identifies herself as Elizabeth D'Silve, and both fall in love with each other. A few days later Ajay gets a phone call from her, asking him to come to her house as her uncle, S.J. D'Silva is seriously ill. When Ajay reaches there it is too late and he is pronounced dead. Subsequently, Ajay goes to the nearby Church to arrange for a priest, Gonsalves, pall-bearers, so that her uncle can be buried. Then a few days later, a man approaches the police asking for assistance in locating his missing son, Prakash. When told about this, Ajay looks at Prakash's photo and is shocked to see that it is none other than Mr. D'Silva. Ajay decides to investigate this matter thoroughly, and even places Elizabeth under suspicion. D'Silva's coffin is dug up, and is found empty. Then a male named Ramesh is knifed to death; followed by the strangulation of his wife, Maya; Ajay finds out that Father Gonsalves has been abducted and Elizabeth was seen driving away from Ramesh's house shortly after his death. A young Laajo's family is worried about finding the right groom for her. A series of comical situations arise when her brother Sunder, with his maternal uncle, sets out to find the right man for his sister. Sunder, a laid-back young man, cares nothing about responsibilities towards his own future or of his family's. At much persuasion by his widowed mother, Sunder leaves on a journey to find a suitable groom for his sister Laajo. Situations arises and Sunder ends up marrying Pilu, daughter of Mooley Shah from the neighboring village. Sunder's mother and maternal uncle Bishandas are happy for Sunder's marriage but are disappointed by Sunder's irresponsibility towards Laajo's marriage. This time Bishandas decides to accompany Sunder for a groom hunt. After a few attempts they find a boy for Laajo, Atmaram, a government employee. The marriage takes place, but Atmaram's father Lala Kedarnath asks for money as dowry. This puts Laajo's marriage in jeopardize. Finally, Bishandas manages to make Atmaram to disown his father and accept Laajo.
