A series of murders happen in an Engineering college located in a forest area. Arul and his friends attempt to unravel the mystery and find the motive behind these killings.

Loafer is about an irresponsible man who leaves his wife and takes his son Raja away from her. Folowing the example of his father, Raja grows up to become a Loafer believes that hedoes not have a mother. As time passes by, Raja falls in love with Mouni who istrying to escape her father`s house. Raja decides to help Mouni, but then he comes to know that his mother is still alive and is involved with Mouni`s problems. What happens next?

The film is a love story that shows how society creates divisions. The title refers to the rivers Tunga and Bhadra - two big rivers from different parts coming together to form Tungabhadra. But people born and raised in the same place cannot live in harmony. If rivers can meet, why not people? This question is addressed through the film.
