Rathavaram tells the story of a king's general, Ratharva, who is loyal to his king, King Manikanta, while also highlighting his loyalty towards his own beliefs and the conflicts between the king and his general.

This movie revolves around two families, one of Krishne Gowda (Anant Nag), a retired principal, and the other of Mr. Patil (Achyuth Kumar), a strict RTO officer. The story begins with the two friends Gowda and Patil getting back together in the same neighbourhood after a gap of around 15 years. Meanwhile love blossoms between Khushi (Amulya), Gowda`s daughter, and Sooraj (Suraj Gowda), Patil`s son. Though the families happily accept this alliance, a small issue between Gowda and Patil gets blown out of proportion and creates a rift between the families as well as the lovers. Before the elders realize their mistake and try to correct it, a lot of things go wrong in the heat of the moment, making them irreversible later. A series of serious and hilarious attempts follow, to set everything right. You have to watch the movie to know whether or not the lovers reunite in the end.

Julie (Ramya) is a young Christian woman who finds herself pregnant after having sex with Shashi (Dino Morea), a Hindu follower and her childhood sweetheart. Faced with the choice of abortion or carrying the child to term, Julie chooses to keep the pregnancy a secret from Shashi and goes to a convent, where she will deliver the child and put it up for adoption. Afterwards Julie returns home in the hopes that Shashi will marry her now that she does not have a baby, as she thought that he would not have shown an interest in her otherwise. Despite her well-laid plans, Julie finds that things aren't so simple as that. Not only does her brother want her to move to England, but she also meets Richard, a man who doesn't care that she has had a baby out of wedlock. Ultimately Julie manages to reconcile with Shashi and live happily ever after.
