However, Nick is not there, and she meets Lucas, who is also looking for his sister that has disappeared in the same weird circumstance. The Prime Minister of Malaysia (Woodrow Asai) vows to raise sub-standard minimum wages across the country and end child labor once and for all. The bosses of all the major fashion houses have all their inventory tied up in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. They believe that the changes in Malaysia will soon spread to other countries and the fashion houses will be out of business in less than a year. The Malaysian PM is arriving in New York in 14 days and Mugatu (a fashion designer) is tasked with assassinating him. Mugatu it told to invite the PM to fashion week as a guest of honor and assassinate him there. They need a beautiful, but dim-witted assassin who can be manipulated easily. The dim-witted but good-nature Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) is ousted as the top male fashion model by the rising star, Hansel (Owen Wilson). Derek was competing for his 4th straight Male Model of the Year award and Hansel is a rookie, who is very casual and informal about the fashion industry and doesn't take it too seriously. The award is announced to Hansel, and yet Derek gets up goes to the podium, accepts the award and even starts making a speech, embarrassing himself. Meanwhile, fashion mogul Jacobim Mugatu (Will Ferrell), and model agent Maury Ballstein (Jerry Stiller) are working on finding a model who can be brainwashed into becoming an assassin. They see Derek on stage and find him to be the perfect candidate for their mission. Derek's reputation is further tarnished by a critical article from journalist Matilda Jeffries (Christine Taylor). Derek has his signature looks like Blue Steel, Ferrari and Le Tigre. He has been working on his look called Magnum for the last 8 or 9 years. Derek is really mad at Matilda, who says that it was her editor who changed the story that made Derek look stupid. Derek's three flat mates and colleagues Meekus (Alexander Skarsgard), Rufus and Brint are killed in a "freak gasoline-fight accident". The friends had gone out to take Derek's mind away from his loss, and ended up at a gas station where they started a gasoline fight instead of a water fight. Derek had stepped away when he saw a man throw a magazine with his photo on the cover in a trash can, and hence survived. Maury reaches out to Derek and presents an offer from Mugatu to work with him in his new fashion show. Mugatu has never signed Derek for an assignment before. Derek announces his retirement from modeling and attempts to reconnect with his father Larry (Jon Voight) and brothers Scrappy (Judah Friedlander) & Luke (Vince Vaughn) by helping in the coal mines in Southern New Jersey. Derek's delicate methods make him an impractical miner, and his family rejects him. Derek complained of getting a black lung after spending just 1 day in the mine. Derek returns to New York and accepts Mugatu's offer to star in the next runway show. Mugatu takes Derek to his headquarters, masked as a day spa, where Derek is conditioned to attempt the assassination when the song "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood is played. Matilda, who felt partially responsible for Derek's retirement, is suspicious of Mugatu's offer, and tipped off by an anonymous caller, tries to enter the spa, but is thrown out. Matilda tries to voice her concerns to Derek once he leaves, but he ignores her. Matilda follows Derek to a Pre-runway show, where he loses to Hansel in a "walk-off" judged by David Bowie. Matilda receives another anonymous call to meet at a nearby cemetery. Matilda along with Derek find the anonymous caller is hand model J.P. Prewett (David Duchovny), who explains that the fashion industry has been behind several political assassinations including Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy, and the brainwashed models are soon killed after they have completed their task. Before J.P. can explain more, Katinka (Milla Jovovich), Mugatu's chief Henchwoman, and her aides attack the group, forcing Derek and Matilda to flee. They decide to go to Hansel's home, the last place they believe Mugatu will think to look, and Derek and Hansel resolve their differences while partaking of Hansel's collection of narcotics and participating in groups sex with Matilda and others. While recovering, Derek also finds that he is falling in love with Matilda. Derek and Hansel break into Maury's offices to find evidence of the assassination plot but cannot operate his computer to find them. Derek leaves for the show, Hansel following later with the computer in hand, believing that, as told to him by Matilda "the files are inside the computer". Matilda tries to intercept Derek before the show, but Katinka thwarts her attempt. As Derek takes the runway, Mugatu's disc jockey starts playing "Relax", activating Derek's mental programming. Before Derek can reach the Prime Minister, Hansel breaks into the DJ booth, and switches the music to Herbie Hancock's "Rockit", breaking Derek's conditioning. Hansel and the DJ have a brief fight before Hansel eventually unplugs the system, moments before Derek was about to snap the Prime Minister's neck. Mugatu attempts to cover up the incident, but Hansel offers Maury's computer as evidence, smashing it to the ground which he believes would release the incriminating files. Though the evidence is destroyed, Maury steps forward and reveals he had backed up the files, and offers to turn over the evidence of the assassination plot after years of guilt for his complicity in the conspiracy. Mugatu attempts to kill the Prime Minister himself, but Derek stops him by unleashing his ultimate model look, "Magnum", that stuns everyone. Mugatu is arrested, and Derek is thanked by the Prime Minister. In Derek's rural hometown, his father Larry watches the event on television, and proudly acknowledges Derek as his son. A few years later, Derek, Hansel, and Maury start "The Derek Zoolander Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Who Wanna Learn to Do Other Stuff Good Too". Derek and Matilda have a son named Derek Zoolander Jr., who has already developed his first modeling look.

Robbie (Adam Sandler) dreamed of one day becoming a big rock-star. But instead, he has become one of the most entertaining wedding singers in the town of Ridgefield, New Jersey in 1985. Robbie's band includes George Stitzer (Alexis Arquette) keyboardist and singer, Randy Razz (Teddy Castellucci) and John Vana (Teddy Castellucci). At Robbie's latest wedding gig, he saves the wedding toast from being ruined by the groom's alcoholic brother David Veltri (Steve Buscemi) and catches the eye of a waitress at the function, named Julia (Drew Barrymore). Afterwards, they both tell how they are engaged: Robbie to his girlfriend Linda (Angela Featherstone), and Julia to her boyfriend, Glenn (Matthew Glave). Noting Robbie's handling of the situation inside the wedding, Julia wants him to sing at her wedding, to which Robbie happily agrees to. Linda's fiance, businessman and bond investor Glenn Gulia, has yet to set a date. They have been engaged for 2 years and now Linda is starting to doubt Glenn's intentions. She even moved to Ridgefield so she could be closer to him. Angie (Christina Pickles) is Julia's mother and asks her to fake a pregnancy to pressure Glenn into marrying her quickly. Eventually, Robbie and Linda's wedding day arrives, and everyone is there, except for Linda. It soon becomes apparent that Linda has decided not to go through with the wedding, leaving Robbie heartbroken and despondent. After the wedding is called off, Linda meets with Robbie and reveals that she fell in love with him for his ambitions of being a rock star with his band called "Final Warning", which was 6 years ago. She reveals her concerns of ending up being stuck in Richfield, married to Robbie, and raising kids in his sister Kate's (Jodi Thelen) basement. Kate is married to Andy (Frank Sivero) and has 2 kids Tyler (Patrick McTavish) and Petey (Gemini Barnett). Robbie sinks into depression, causing his friends and family to be concerned. Robbie's brother Sammy (Allen Covert) attempts to get him to snap out of his misery and play another wedding gig. However, Robbie's sour mood disrupts the wedding toast, in which he insults the bride's father, and breaks into a dour rendition of the song, "Love Stinks." Julia meets with Robbie afterwards, hoping that he'll still play for her and Glenn's wedding. However, he now expresses doubt about participating. Eventually, Robbie's spirits start to perk up, and he ends up doing a Bat Mitzvah with Julia acting as a waitress. After the festivities, Julia asks Robbie if he'll help her plan her wedding. Robbie agrees, and along with his brother Sammy, and Julia's cousin Holly (Christine Taylor). They do everything from trying wedding cakes, to hiring a limo driver (of which Sammy is the only one in town). Robbie eventually goes out for a party with Holly, Julia, and Julia's fiance, Glenn. At the party, Robbie gets to see that Glenn is anything but a nice guy, as he notices Glenn has no problems ogling other women on the dance floor. Robbie learns from Glenn that he cheats on Julia frequently and plans to continue after they are married. After everyone leaves, Holly tries to hook up with Robbie, but soon sees that he likes Julia. Julia and Robbie are increasingly confused by their deepening feelings for each other. When Holly tells Robbie that Julia is marrying Glenn for his money, he unsuccessfully pursues a job at a bank. Julia is dismayed at his materialism, and when he accuses her of the same, she becomes angry with him. Depressed, he decides to follow Sammy's example of only having shallow relationships with women, in response to which Sammy confides that he is unhappy and encourages Robbie to tell Julia how he feels. Robbie grapples with his feelings, and eventually decides to tell Julia his true feelings. Meanwhile, Julia confides in her mother that she has fallen out of love with Glenn and has developed feelings for Robbie, and bursts into tears thinking about becoming "Mrs. Julia Gulia". However, upon arriving at her place, Robbie sees her in a window, in her wedding dress, speaking into a mirror (unheard to Robbie, she is saying his name, practicing saying she's 'Mrs Robbie Hart'). Heartbroken, Robbie leaves to get drunk and finds Glenn in the midst of his Pre-wedding bachelor party, arm in arm with another woman. After a heated exchange, Glenn punches Robbie and mocks him. Robbie stumbles home to find Linda waiting for him wanting to reconcile and passes out. The following morning, Linda answers the door and introduces herself as his fiance to a crestfallen Julia. She runs to Glenn, who is sleeping off the events of the previous night and tells him she wants to be married immediately. He offers to take her to Las Vegas reluctantly. Robbie awakens and, after shaking off his hangover from the previous night, rejects Linda's reconciliation, having realized how shallow she is during his time with Julia, and kicks her out. At the 50th wedding anniversary party of his neighbor Rosie, to whom he has been giving singing lessons, he realizes he wants to grow old with Julia and, with Rosie's encouragement, he decides to pursue her. Just then, Holly arrives and informs him of Julia's encounter with Linda, so Robbie rushes to the airport and gets a first-class ticket to Las Vegas. After telling his story to his empathetic fellow passengers, which include Billy Idol, Robbie learns that Glenn and Julia are on the same flight. With the help of Billy and the flight crew, over the loudspeaker, he sings a song he has written called "Grow Old with You", dedicated to Julia. As Robbie enters the main cabin singing, Glenn tries to assault him only to be thwarted and shoved into a lavatory by the flight attendants with assistance from Billy and a large fan. Robbie and Julia admit their love for each other and share a kiss. Billy, impressed by Robbie's song, offers to tell his record company executives about him. Later, Robbie and Julia are married, and a band led by Robbie's friend David performs at their wedding.

Sarah Bailey (Robin Tunney), a troubled teenage girl who has previously attempted suicide, has just moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles with her father (Cliff De Young) and stepmother. She enrolls in a local Catholic high school, but has trouble fitting in. During French class, her classmate Bonnie (Neve Campbell) witnesses Sarah telekinetically causing a pencil to rotate while standing on its tip. During lunch, Sarah is hit on by Chris (Skeet Ulrich), the school's football star. She asks about Bonnie and her two friends Nancy (Fairuza Balk) and Rochelle (Rachel True). Chris tells Sarah to stay away from the trio, because "they're witches". Bonnie tells Nancy and Rochelle that Sarah is the "fourth" who will complete their circle and make a full coven. The three girls each have issues: Nancy lives in a trailer with her mom, Grace Downs (Helen Shaver) and abusive stepfather Ray (John Kapelos) , Bonnie has massive burn scars all over her back, and the painful treatment recommended by the surgeon (Brenda Strong) is likely to fail. Insecure African American athlete Rochelle is subjected to racist taunts by the most popular girl in school, blonde Laura Lizzie (Christine Taylor). After school, the three girls befriend Sarah and take her to an occult shop. The owner, Lirio (Assumpta Serna), comments that Sarah is not like the other girls and says to her: "Maybe you are a natural witch; your power comes from within." While leaving the shop, Sarah is harassed by a vagrant (Arthur Senzy), and all four girls simultaneously will for something to happen; the vagrant is then hit by a car. The girls escape, and Nancy is thrilled at their "connection". Nancy tells Sarah about "invoking the Spirit" Manon, which is their ultimate goal as a coven. Sarah leaves the girls to meet Chris, but refuses to have sex with him. However, at school the next day, Sarah discovers that Chris boasted to the whole school that they slept together, and that she was the worst he's ever had. Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle comfort Sarah, and invite her on a field trip. They take the bus out to the country. The bust drivers tells them to be careful about wicked boys, but they say that they four are the dangerous ones. While on the countryside, they call the corners and cast some spells: Rochelle asks for the strength not to hate those who hate her, Sarah performs a love spell on Chris, Bonnie asks for beauty inside and out, and Nancy asks for "all the power of Manon." Shortly after the spells are cast, they show signs of working: Chris becomes infatuated with Sarah and goes after her constantly in spite of his friends Mitt (Breckin Meyer) and Trey (Nathaniel Marston) taunting him about it, Bonnie's scars miraculously heal, and the next time Laura bullies Rochelle, Laura's hair begins falling out. At home, Nancy causes the microwave and all light bulbs to explode, and Ray suffers a massive heart attack and dies. Then Nancy and her mother are told by the insurance man (Brogan Roche) that they have inherited $175,000 from an insurance policy, and they feel overjoyed about it. Nancy and her mother move into a posh high-rise where the girls meet one night and learn disguise-changing magic. Nancy's mother looks confused and dazzled. She has bought a weird-coloured sofa and a jukebox with only songs by Connie Francis. The four friends lock themselves in Nancy's room ignoring Nancy's mother, who is left empty and ignored, just as she felt before cashing in on the insurance money. The girls go to Lirio's shop again, where Nancy finds a book about "Invoking the Spirit". Later that night, the girls go to the beach and form a circle, calling on Manon. At the culmination of the spell Nancy is struck by lightning. The next day the rest of the girls witness Nancy walking on the water, and from this point on, Nancy's powers have increased. Later on, Rochelle sees a balding Laura in the locker room, hysterically sobbing after swim practice. Laura's two closest friends (Elizabeth Guber and Jennifer Greenhut) try to offer some consolation, to no avail. Rochelle feels remorse for the spell she has cast and when she looks in the mirror at herself, her reflection looks away. Sarah's love spell also backfires on her. She finally accepts to have a dinner date with Chris, but he takes her to the top of a hill and attempts to rape her. Sarah runs away and knocks on Nancy's door. Nancy leaves her home for a party Chris is attending in order to punish him. However, when she arrives to the party, she tries to seduce Chris by disguising herself as Sarah, but when the real Sarah arrives as they engage in foreplay, Nancy causes Chris to fall out a third-story window, killing him. On consequence of this, Sarah starts having nightmares concerning her old friends, and feels like they're following her everywhere to torment her. She tries to stop Nancy - who has become the leader of the three remaining coven witches - by binding her powers so that she won't be able to hurt other or herself, but this does not work and the three other coven girls now hate Sarah. Nancy appears and tells Sarah that in the old days, if a witch betrayed her coven, they would kill her. Needing help, Sarah goes to Lirio, who tells her to invoke the spirit herself. Lirio also reveals that Sarah's mother was a powerful witch, and that her talent has passed on to Sarah. Sarah starts to invoke Manon, but she has a vision of fire and the shop exploding, so she leaves the shop absolutely terrified.. Sarah returns home, where she is tormented by Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle, who taunt her using magic and intimidate her with threats on her life. Sarah arrives home and nobody is there. She is instructed to turn on the TV set and listens that her family went back to San Francisco thinking that she had run away there, and that their plane had had an accident without any survivors. Without a second of rest, all kinds of snakes and worm appear everywhere. The three other coven girls then appear. After a few seconds of intimidation Nancy says that Sarah will commit suicide. Nancy later slashes Sarah's wrists and a letter on Sarah's handwriting stating the reasons of her suicide magically appear - blaming herself for Chris' death. Sarah runs to her room, while Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle wait for her to die. Rochelle then tells Nancy that this has gone out of hand. Nancy tells her to go upstairs to check on Sarah and threatens to slit her throat if she doesn't. Bonnie pulls up Rochelle to Sarah's room. Sarah is almost too weak to invoke Manon, but then she hears her mother (Janet Eilber) moving in an old photograph and her sweet voice whispering, "Don't be afraid. Reach inside yourself". Sarah successfully invokes Manon and is able to cast spells to fight back, as well as heal the injuries to her wrists. Forced by a counter spell of Sarah's to see themselves and what they've become by catching their reflections in a mirror, Bonnie's face horribly scarred and Rochelle's hair falling out, Bonnie and Rochelle flee, leaving only Nancy and Sarah at home. Nancy and Sarah have a showdown, in which Nancy is ultimately defeated by Sarah as she binds Nancy's power to prevent her from doing any more harm. In the end, Nancy has been sent to a psychiatric hospital, and Bonnie and Rochelle lose any powers they had. They go to see Sarah and half-mockingly tell her not to be angry with them because when Sarah was made to believe that her family had died it was just an illusion. Sarah's father is packing everything in his car to move out of LA. The two girls ask Sarah if she still has any powers, and when she shows no interest in continuing a friendship with the two girls who tried to kill her, they make fun of her as they leave, saying, "She probably doesn't have powers, anyway". On hearing this Sarah makes a bolt of lightning strike causing a tree branch to fall, nearly crushing the two girls, revealing that she still has powers. As they stare back at her in shock, Sarah warns them, "Be careful. You don't wanna end up like Nancy", and smiles. The scene cuts to a bird's eye view of Nancy's room in the psychiatric hospital. She is screaming like a maniac, telling the nurse (Esther Scott), "He gave me powers! I can fly, I'm flying, I'm flying, I'm flying!"

One evening, a man claiming to be Carol's (Shelley Long) long-lost first husband, Roy Martin (Tim Matheson), shows up at the suburban Brady residence. The Bradys believe his story about suffering from amnesia and having plastic surgery after being injured. Mike (Gary Cole) has been planning a second wedding/renewal of vows for himself and Carol, for an anniversary present without her knowing, although Roy's arrival throws a monkey wrench into things. Throughout Roy's stay, he is openly hostile to them, his sarcasm and insults completely going over their heads. Mike had 3 boys before marrying Carol and Carol had 3 girls before marrying Mike. Thats the Brady family. Alice is the house maid. Marcia is the eldest and is the sexiest, with many boys after her. Jan is geeky and has no boyfriends. Roy is heard talking to someone on the phone and it seems like he is looking for a horse shaped artifact. This artifact was sent by Alice for cleaning after the girls dropped grape juice on it. Peter (Paul Sutera), who is trying to decide what career path to choose, starts idolizing and emulating Roy, which frequently gets him in trouble at the architect firm where Mike works (Mike Takes Peter to work for his internship, but Peter hits Mike's boss as he is more interested in playing with Roy's nun chucks). Peter later mentions Roy talking about "the big house", and Mike learns it means prison, making him suspicious. Roy advises Jan to cook up an imaginary boyfriend to impress Marcia. But Marcia doesn't believe her. Roy learns from Cindy and Bobby that the horse artifact is at the antique store for cleaning and restorations. Roy is thwarted when Kids take him for a day out, just when Alice brings the artifact back from the cleaners. But then Carol sends the horse to her local charity auction. Roy plans to bid on it as it is valued at $50. Meanwhile Alice is upset that Roy didn't like her meatloaf. So, she finds some mushrooms in Roy's room and mixes them in his dinner that night. Those were magic mushrooms and Roy trips up. He barely gets to the auction the next day but is beaten by a wealthy lady (who had seen a similar artifact at an auction somewhere) who bids $10K on it. Greg (Christopher Daniel Barnes) and Marcia (Christine Taylor) both want to move out of their shared rooms and into the attic. But when neither wants to back down, they have to share the attic together. When Roy's arrival suggests that Carol and Mike might not be married, Greg and Marcia believe that they are technically not related. This leads them to realize they are in love with each other but try to hide it from one another throughout their time together. Bobby (Jesse Lee) and Cindy (Olivia Hack) start a "Detective Agency" hunting down her missing doll and upon finding it, they stumble upon a photo revealing Roy's true intention. He is actually a con man named Trevor Thomas (who used to be the real Roy's assistant) and is there to steal a familiar horse statue that is actually a $20 million-dollar ancient artifact. The kids reveal to Carol his plans and confront Trevor (who had stolen the horse artifact from the wealthy woman at the auction), who, in turn, kidnaps Carol and takes her hostage to Hawaii, where he plans to sell to artifact to Dr. Whitehead (John Hillerman), a buyer in Hawaii. He also ties up the kids and Alice (Henriette Mantel) to keep them from interfering. Mike, who's now fully aware of Trevor's deception, having gone to the police with his suspicions, frees them, and the family flies to Hawaii to save Carol and foil Trevor's plans. In Hawaii, Carol escapes from Trevor's clutches, and manages to find her way to Dr. Whitehead's estate before Trevor gets there. It turns out, Trevor was responsible for the boating accident (he cut the fuel pipes which led to the explosion on the boat) that led to the disappearance of Dr. Whitehead's son Gilligan and Carol's first husband, a professor. Carol's first husband had discovered the artifact in Karabi (Thailand) and sent it ahead by courier to her, as he felt it would be safer with her, while they followed on boat. in Dr. Whitehead's words "The Minnow is lost" (as Trevor was responsible for his son's death), and he refuses to pay Trevor for the horse (when Carol insists that Trevor stole it from the family). Trevor attempts to hold Dr. Whitehead and Carol at gunpoint for payment, but Mike and the family arrive just in time to intervene (Mike found the place from which Trevor rented a jeep to visit Dr Whitehead), and, after a brief scuffle between the two men, in which Mike quickly gains the upper hand, Trevor is arrested and taken to jail. Dr. Whitehead offers to pay the Bradys the $20 million dollars for the horse, but Mike declines, claiming it's a symbol of their togetherness. Cindy gives him her doll, to console him, as she's outgrown it, after almost losing her mother. Jan (Jennifer Elise Cox), who made up a pretend boyfriend named George Glass in order to make herself seem more popular, meets a real boy named George Glass during the family's trip to Hawaii, and they become a couple. As Mike and Carol renew their vows in a ceremony held at their home, Marcia agrees to let Greg have the attic to himself, until he goes to college, and the two share one last on-screen kiss, before returning to being brother and sister. The movie ends with Carol tossing the bouquet, and a genie named Jeannie, arriving just in time to catch it. She then claims to be Mike Brady's first wife, much to Mike and Carol's dismay.

The original 1970s TV family is now placed in the 1990s, where they're even more square and out of place than ever. Mike Brady and his wife Carol have just only one week to come up with $20,000 in back taxes or their house is sold and they'll have no choice but to move. And it's up to their kids to secretly raise money and save the house before they lose it to their scheming next-door neighbor, Larry Dittmeyer. —Anthony Pereyra <hypersonic91@yahoo.com> This movie picks up the Brady clan and plops them down in the 1990s with their original naivete intact. Their next-door neighbor, Larry Dittmeyer, is in charge of acquiring land for a new residential mini-mall, and they are the last holdouts on selling their land. Unbeknownst to them, he has also been receiving and concealing their mail, which includes overdue notices on property taxes. $20,000 is necessary to save their house from auction, and when their kids find out, they secretly go about raising money to save it. —Rick Gregory <rag.apa@email.apa.org> In the 1990s and even the Bradys get the blues.
