Vettaikaran is about an youngster who comes to Chennai to earn his living. Over there, he comes across anti-social elements and plans to overthrow them to save society from deteriorating.

Loudspeaker is an interesting tale of how the lives of two men so different get entwined, and how one influences the other so deeply that the imprint is indelible. Well developed characters played by Mammootty and Sasi Kumar, this film is funny in parts, and grave in parts.

Pattanathil Bhootham has Mammootty in a dual role. Jimmy runs a street circus troupe but lands in trouble after he tries to save the children from the local mafia. He is falsely implicated and almost sent to prison, when a friendly ``Bhootham`` decides to help him out.

Hold on we don`t want to kill your interest. The Film has good production values, apt family sentiments and aesthetically shot song sequences compared to everyday Mallu standards. To your surprise it`s a comic film churned out for keeping you thoroughly entertained. The film is a must for every Dileep`s vast fan following. The film opens with terrorist trying to squeeze in unlawful shipments into Chennai shores. What unfolds further is a treat to watch. The scenes between Inspector Garud and Sethu lakshmi is very intriguing especially when Garud harbours the intentions of marrying her. But she being the collector, he needs very strong reason to marry her even against her wish. How he finds that reason where he makes her marry him is shot with laudable craft. What results is a good comic film. All in all a good entertainer.

A software engineer comes to India in order to serve the nation and invest in its welfare. A few corrupt officials and politicians try to stop him while he tries to do good for the poor. Held in a cell, Sivaji reflects how he came to be under police scrutiny and his subsequent arrest for a variety of economic offenses. He had returned to Chennai from the U.S. to live with his parents and maternal uncle, and had hoped to invest money in colleges and hospitals so that people who are not privileged can benefit - much to the chagrin of a sophisticated goon, Adisheshan, who threatens him, and asks him not to tread on his territory. Disregarding this and hoping to get his projects going, Sivaji runs into bureaucratic corruption and red-tape - so much so that he gives in and bribes an official Rs.4 Crores to complete his Rs.200 Crore project. An enraged Adisheshan has the local politician stop the work, but Sivaji bribes the latter Rs.50 Crores, after liquefying most of his assets. While he is busy wooing and attempting to marry Tamizhselvi/Vidyabharti Ramlingam, a new politician takes over, stops his project, and demands another Rs.50 Crores. Unable to come up with the money, Sivaji takes the matter to Court but loses, and is rendered penniless. To make matters even worse, Tamizhselvi refuses to marry him as astrologically they are not compatible. Sreekumar apologizes to Lathika and asks her to attend his own wedding. Lathika returns to her hometown and reunites with her aunt and grandmother.
