Daddy Day Camp is a follow up of previous hit movie Daddy Day Care. In this movie Dads Charlie Hinton (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Phil Ryerson (Paul Rae) takes over a summer day camp. With no prior knowledge of summer camps and outdoors along with poor facility and motley group of campers, it doesn't take long before things gets out of hand. With a threat of rapidly declining enrollment and immediate closure looming large over this day care center. Charlie is forced to call his estranged father, Col. Buck Hinton (Richard Gant) to aid them put together which is in complete doldrums and teaches everyone various nuances of teamwork, constant perseverance and to instill an ability to forgive.

Norbit (Murphy) is a normal person, who after being adopted by Mr. Wong (Murphy), ends up being married to the very large, Rasputia (Murphy). Norbit`s childhood love, Kate Thomas (Newton) arrives back in town to buy the orphanage. Norbit sees this as his chance to get back together with Kate, until he discovers that she is in fact engaged to Deion Hughes (Gooding, Jr.). Norbit isn`t going to lay this to rest, whilst he tries to survive life with Rasputia, and it looks like Deion also has something he would like to keep secret.

Armando Sancho (Clifton Collins Jr.) is a former Los Angeles gang member who has transitioned into law enforcement. Sancho, however, who is surrounded by corruption, finds that life as a police officer is just as morally bankrupt as life as a gangster. Salim Adel is Sancho's partner. One night, Sancho and Salim were planting evidence and stealing drugs from a drug bust, when they were seen by an old man. Salim asks the old man to retreat, but perhaps he was hard of hearing and stood his ground. Salim shoots the old man in the head after repeating the warning a few times. After being implicated in the shooting of an innocent man himself, Sancho is pressured (by IA officer Bryant (Judy Reyes)) to testify against his loose-cannon friend and partner, Salim Adel (Cuba Gooding Jr.), who has a history of abusing citizens. Sancho lives with his sick and wheelchair bound mother (Soledad St. Hilaire) and believes that some lines of decency should not be crossed. And yet, he also does not want to be a rat. Sancho picks up Salim at 8 AM from his house where he stays with his girlfriend, and his son Elijah (Dax Ramgoolam). Salim and Sancho have been called in to testify in front of Internal Affairs at 6 PM that day. On their patrol, they reach downtown at 8:34 AM. They find a couple in a car who are lost, and Sancho tries to help them. The couple cannot understand Sancho's accent, and this angers Salim. He arrests the husband and proceeds to sexually harass the wife in front of her husband. Salim steals the couple's PDA, before Sancho intervenes and allows them to leave. They then drive into Police HQ for a daily briefing from Captain Spain (Keith David). Spain declares war on the drug cartels in the city and wants his cops to remind the people that there is war going on in the streets. Spain meets Sancho and Salim separately say that police tactics are working as crime is going down in the city. He wants the cops to stick together and stop anyone from outside interfering in how they do things. Indirectly, Spain asks Sancho and Salim to lie to IA. Meanwhile, Spain is in touch with a kingpin to supply drugs to him. At a local bar at 9:42 AM, the Lieutenant (Cole Hauser) approaches Sancho and Salim and says that they have an opportunity. Lieutenant says that Brax (Wood Harris) is Damian Baine's (Wyclef Jean) right hand man. Damian owns every nightclub in town. Lieutenant tells Sancho and Salim to deliver 13 Kilos of drugs from the evidence locker to Damian at his Mexican nightclub. Sancho doesn't like the deal and feels there something is off. They pick the drugs from the evidence locker at 10:19 AM, by using a fake requisition slip from a judge requesting to produce the evidence in court. They meet Brax at a Taco Pup at 10:47 AM, who asks them to bring the drugs to Baine's club. Sancho tells Salim that if Baine kills them both, IA will never know that the incident with the dead old man was set up by the Lieutenant. Salim feels Sancho is getting paranoid, but Sancho is adamant that they will keep the drugs in the car when they meet Baine. At 11:13 AM, they reach Baine's club. Despite the warning, Salim takes the drugs into Baine's club. Baine says that Canadian gang Hells Angels have set up shop at the beach and are buying drugs from anyone willing to sell. They want to jack up prices by having a monopoly and driving all other suppliers out of business. Baine wants Salim and Sancho to use the 13 Kilos of drugs to lure the Hells Angels and steal the money and their drugs. The police get one third of the entire loot. Salim convinces Sancho that this is the mother-lode, and they won't have to do small gigs if they manage to pull this heist off. They reach the beach at 1:43 PM. They pick up drug sellers Rita (Aimee Garcia) and Splooge (Khleo Thomas) on the beach. When Sancho roughs up Splooge, Rita spits on Salim, leading him to sexually harass Rita in front of Splooge. As Splooge is taken away, Rita vows to kill Salim. Turns out Splooge is Salim's informant, and they staged the whole arrest to make it look genuine. They reach the Canadian Beach Bungalow at 3:17 PM. Splooge goes in first and distracts the Hells Angels and the cops follow in a few minutes later. Sancho is stunned to find one of the Hells Angels to be his family member, who says that the entire money belongs to Roland (Robert LaSardo). As Sancho is distracted, Splooge runs away with the drugs and Salim is shot. As Sancho pursues the shooter, Salim finds the money bag and hides it. Sancho puts Salim in the squad car and drives him away. Brax and his entourage enter the house but find no drugs or money. Sancho finds Splooge at the beach and pursues him, leaving Salim in the squad car. Splooge escapes and Sancho takes Salim to a safe-house at 5:09 PM. Turns out the whole deal was set up Lieutenant to get rid of Salim and Sancho. Salim and Sancho would attack Hells Angels to steal money and the drugs. Brax would kill them while they are in the house, and it would like Hells Angels killed the 2 dirty cops who were selling evidence from the police locker. Sancho suspected Salim, but Salim convinces him that they are both partners and in this together. The drugs hidden by Splooge are found by kids, who overdose on it. Officer Rodriguez (Nick Gonzalez) attacks the safe-house but is captured. He confirms that Lieutenant is behind the setup and the drugs were payment for their murder. Baine was supposed to kill them at the Taco Pup, but he got greedy and thought he could get both the drugs and the money and get rid of his competition by getting the police to eliminate Canadian Hells Angels. Salim realizes that Sancho was going to tell the truth to the IA and the department knew about this, and hence Lieutenant made this plan up. Salim and Sancho surrender to Roland. Roland wants his money back, but Sancho didn't know that Salim had hidden the money. It is revealed that Salim never killed the old man and had stepped away. It was Sancho who thought that the old man was reaching for his gun and shot him. Roland wants Sancho to shoot Salim, but Sancho prefers to shoot himself. Seeing this, Salim reveals that he knows the location of the money. Roland shoots Sancho regardless for going against his first family. Salim manages to escape when police are already at the spot where he hid the money. He returns the drugs recovered to the evidence locker. The drugs are destroyed as they were mixed with heavy duty rat poison. Lieutenant tells Salim that Sancho killed his girlfriend. Spain and Lieutenant indicate that they are holding Elijah hostage till Salim implicates Sancho in the day's events. As Salim exits the HQ, he is assassinated by Roland's men.

The Fighting Temptations is a musical, a comedy, and a love story all in one. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays Darrin Hill, an advertising junior executive who is trying to make it big in New York City and a corner office. He finally makes a big ad pitch and is on his way up the corporate ladder; unfortunately, he is fired for misrepresenting his Yale education. He receives a letter informing him that his Aunt Sally has died in his hometown of Monte Carlo, Georgia. Since he is unemployed and broke, he takes a train back home to attend her funeral. As Sally's only living relative, Darrin receives an inheritance of stock worth $150,000. However, to get the money, Darrin must fulfill her last wish, which is to form a gospel choir for the Beulah Baptist Church and take it to the annual Gospel Explosion competition. Darrin tells the preacher that he is a music producer in New York City, and he can build a great choir. There is only one problem, everybody who comes in for auditions are really bad singers. Darrin needs a miracle if he has any chance at all. Then Darrin finds Lilly, played by Beyonce Knowles, who is a beautiful nightclub singer with the voice of an angel. He finds other singers at the barbershop and the prison. After putting together a beautiful sounding choir, Darrin is now ready for the competition. The cast is loaded with singing stars such as: Shirley Caesar, Faith Evans, Angie Stone, Melba Moore, Ann Nesby, The O'Jays, Montell Jordan, T-Bone, Zane, and many others. Radio is a good human-interest story that was inspired by events in 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina. Cuba Gooding, Jr., who plays the mentally challenged Radio, does such a good acting job, you will believe he is the real Radio. His real name is James Robert Kennedy, and he was nicknamed Radio, because of his radio collection and listening to the radio all the time. Radio spends his days in this small town pushing or riding a grocery cart down the street, talking to no one. After some football players harass Radio, the football coach Harold Jones played by Ed Harris takes Radio under his wing. Radio begins to help out at football practice and sits on the bench at games. In time, Radio begins to trust the coach. However, some people in town think Radio is a distraction to the team, and they want Radio to go. By this time the coach and the team are all friends to Radio and they want him to stay. Douglas Young (the-movie-guy)

Donald Sinclair (John Cleese), the eccentric owner of The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, devises a new game to entertain the high rollers who visit his hotel. Six special tokens are placed in the casino's slot machines, and the winners of them are gathered together and told that $2 million in cash is hidden in a bag in a train station locker in Silver City, New Mexico. They are told they must compete in a no-holds-barred race to get there first and claim the money. Each winner is given a key that will open the locker and they are sent on their way. What they do not know is that Sinclair's wealthy patrons are placing bets on who will win the race. Among the racers are scheming twins Duane (Seth Green) looking to make money off insurance scams and Blaine Cody (Vince Vieluf) who is unintelligible due to an infected tongue piercing, businesswoman Merrill Jennings (Lanai Chapman) with anger issues and her estranged mother Vera (Whoopi Goldberg) a superstitious mother, who gave Merrill up for adoption and is now reuniting with her, disgraced football referee Owen Templeton (Cuba Gooding Jr) recently infamous for a bad call on account of bad judgment, the Pear family led by opportunistic father Randy (Jon Lovitz) a sneaky, irresponsible and recklessly opportunist tourist, his wife Beverly "Bev" Pear (Kathy Najimy), elder son Jason (Brody Smith) and daughter Kimberly (Jillian Marie Hubert), eccentric Italian tourist Enrico Pollini (Rowan Atkinson) a simple-minded, narcoleptic Italian tourist from Naples, and no-nonsense attorney Nicholas "Nick" Schaffer (Breckin Meyer). Having initially agreed not to play, greed takes over and they start to race. Duane and Blaine destroy an airport radar with their pickup truck grounding everybody else but wrecking their own vehicle in the process, so they rent another. They decide to split up to double their chances of winning by creating a replica key. However, a locksmith Lloyd (Silas Weir Mitchell) overhears their plan and makes off with the key. The brothers chase the locksmith who tries to escape in a hot air balloon, only for the brothers to steal back the key and leave the locksmith dangling from the balloon with a cow for company. Later, after Blaine is distracted by two attractive women driving beside them on the road, they veer off of it and their rental car is crushed by a monster truck, which they steal to get to Silver City. Merrill and Vera are given malicious directions by a woman selling squirrels as pets on the side of the road, and crash into a pile of other totaled vehicles containing her previous deceased victims. This forces them to steal a rocket car which races across the desert until it runs out of fuel. Left disoriented due to the car's extreme speed, they then accidentally stumble onto a busload of mental patients headed for Silver City. Owen is kicked out of a taxi for a bad call he made at a football game that caused the driver to lose a bet. Now without most of his clothes or other belongings. He comes across a coach filled with women going to an I Love Lucy convention and disguises himself as the driver. After the cos-players flood the bus with suds, he later hits the cow dangling from the balloon and crashes the bus. After the cos-players lose the only spare wheel, Owen reveals that he is not the real driver and the enraged women chase him down the road. He escapes them and steals a horse to ride to Silver City. Randy and his family, at the insistence of their daughter Kimberly after he forces her to defecate out of the window of their mini-van to avoid stopping, visit a museum dedicated to a famous Nazi, Klaus Barbie, mistakenly believing it to be about Barbie the doll. After the family awkwardly leave the museum, they steal Adolf Hitler's staff car after Duane and Blaine sabotage their mini-van. While driving the staff car, the family is attacked by an all-female biker gang and Randy, who burns his tongue after the dashboard cigarette lighter accidentally ejects directly into his mouth, drives them into a large gathering honoring World War II veterans, unaware of how his slurred speech and disheveled appearance insults them. Later at a diner when his family insist, they end the trip, Randy drugs them by slipping sleeping pills into their milkshakes and bundles them into a semi-truck heading for Silver City. Nick at first refuses to participate until he meets helicopter pilot Tracy Faucet (Amy Smart) who offers him a lift to Silver City. She decides to visit her boyfriend on the way, who she finds cheating on her with another woman in his backyard, so she attacks him by using the helicopter to chase him into the desert. Now having damaged her helicopter and with police on the way to arrest them, she and Nick steal her ex-boyfriend's truck together and form a romantic relationship while driving to Silver City. Enrico, who is narcoleptic (an extreme tendency to fall asleep), falls asleep at the start of the race but awakens hours later and receives a lift from ambulance driver Zack Mallozzi (Wayne Knight), who offers Enrico a lift in order to avoid a lawsuit from Gloria Allred, who witnessed Zack hit him with his van. Zack is delivering a heart to El Paso. The heart gets lose in the van, and Enrico accidentally throws it out the window. Zack considers removing Enrico's heart to replace the first, but Enrico flees onto a passing train, only for Zack to restart the first heart by touching an electric fence. Enrico drops his locker key in a baby's diaper and, while retrieving it, is mistaken for a pedophile by the parents. He is thrown out at Silver City Station. Enrico arrives at the train station first only to fall asleep as he reaches the locker. The racers reunite in Silver City and fight to open the locker, only to find it empty. Outside, Sinclair's assistant Grisham (Dave Thomas) and call girl, Vicki (Brandy Ledford), are making off with the money. The locksmith, still attached to the runaway balloon, suddenly appears and maneuvers it to drop the cow on Grisham and Vicki. He then ties the money bag to the balloon, but it accidentally slips out of his grip and into the sky. The racers chase the balloon to a charity concert where Smash Mouth are performing, and the band and crowd mistake the money for a donation. Once the racers see what a global difference the money could make, they have a change of heart and decide to donate it all. Sinclair and his patrons arrive at the scene and Nick horrifies them by announcing they will match the money raised. Sinclair is distraught as the donations total shoots past $19 million, and the racers celebrate by dancing and crowd-surfing to "All Star".

While vacationing in Switzerland, physician Chris Nielsen (Robin Williams) meets artist Annie Collins (Annabella Sciorra). They are instantly attracted to each other, and bond as if they had known each other for a long time. They marry and have two children: Ian (Josh Paddock) and Marie (Jessica Brooks Grant). Their idyllic life comes to an end when the children die in a car crash. Life becomes very difficult: Annie suffers a mental breakdown, and the strains on their marriage threaten to lead to divorce, but they manage to struggle through their losses. On the anniversary of the day they decided not to divorce, Chris is killed in a car accident. Unaware that he is dead and confused when nobody can interact with him, Chris lingers on Earth. He watches Annie's attempts to cope with the loss and he attempts to communicate with her, despite advice from a spirit-like presence that it will only cause her pain. When his attempts only leave her more distraught, he decides to move on. Chris awakens in Heaven, and finds that his immediate surroundings are controlled by his imagination. He meets a man (Cuba Gooding Jr.) whom Chris seems to recognize as Albert, his friend and mentor from his medical residency, and the spirit-like presence from his time as a "ghost" on Earth. Albert will be his guide in this new life. Albert teaches Chris about his new existence in Heaven, and how to shape his little corner of it and to travel to others' "dreams". They are surprised when a Blue Jacaranda tree appears unbidden in Chris' surroundings, matching a tree in a new painting by Annie, which was inspired by Annie's belief that she can communicate with Chris in the afterlife. Albert explains to Chris that this is a sign that the couple are truly soul mates. However, Annie is overcome with despair and decides that Chris cannot, in fact, "see" the painting and destroys the piece. Chris sees his version of the tree disintegrate before his eyes which coincides with the painting being destroyed in the real world. Chris laments he will not see his wife and encounters an Asian woman with the name tag "Leona", whom he comes to recognize as his daughter Marie, living in an area shaped like a diorama she loved in life. The two share a tearful reunion. Meanwhile on Earth, Annie is unable to cope with the loss of her husband. She then decides to commit suicide. Chris, who is initially relieved that her suffering is over, quickly becomes angry when he learns that those who commit suicide are sent to Hell; this is not the result of any judgment made against them, but that it is their nature to create "nightmare" afterlife worlds based on their pain. Chris is adamant that he will rescue Annie from Hell, despite Albert's insistence that no one has ever succeeded in doing so. Albert agrees to find Chris a "tracker" (who takes the form of Sigmund Freud) to help find Annie's soul. On the journey to Hell, Chris finds himself recalling his son, Ian. Remembering how he'd called him the one man he'd want at his side to brave Hell, Chris realizes Albert is Ian. Ian explains that he chose Albert's appearance because he knew that Chris would listen to Albert without reservation. Before they part ways, Ian begs Chris to remember how he saved his marriage following Ian and Marie's deaths. Chris then journeys onward with the tracker. After traversing a field containing the faces of the damned, they come to a dark and twisted replica of Chris and Annie's house. The tracker then reveals himself as the real Albert, and warns Chris that if he stays with Annie for more than a few minutes he may become permanently trapped in Hell. All that Chris can reasonably expect is a chance to say a final farewell to Annie. Chris enters the house to find Annie suffering from amnesia, unable even to remember her suicide and tortured by her decrepit surroundings. Unable to stir her memories, he "gives up", but not the way the Tracker hoped he would; he chooses to join Annie forever in Hell. As he announces his intent to stay to Annie, his words parallel something he had said to her when he left her in an institution following their children's deaths, and she regains her memories even as Chris is succumbing to her nightmare. Annie, wanting nothing more at that moment than to save Chris, ascends to Heaven, bringing Chris with her. Chris and Annie are reunited with their children in Heaven, whose original appearances are restored. Chris proposes reincarnation, so that he and Annie can experience life together all over again. The film ends with Chris and Annie meeting again as young children in a situation roughly parallel to their first meeting.

Writer and Director John Singleton's portrayal of social problems in inner-city Los Angeles, California takes the form of a tale of three friends growing up together in the "hood". Half-brothers Doughboy (Ice Cube) and Ricky Baker (Morris Chestnut) are foils for each other's personality, presenting very different approaches to the tough lives they face. Ricky is the "All-American" athlete, looking to win a football scholarship to USC and seeks salvation through sports, while Doughboy succumbs to the violence, alcohol, and crime surrounding him in his environment, but maintains a strong sense of pride and code of honor. Seven years later, Tre (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) is an educated teenager preparing to join the university; Ricky (Morris Chestnut) is an athlete, expecting to join the university with a scholarship, since he is a great football player; and Doughboy (Ice Cube) is a small time criminal that has been arrested several times. But they live in a dangerous neighborhood where dreams are shattered by bullets. —Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Black and in their late teens, Tre, Doughboy and Ricky - the latter two half brothers - have hung out together since they were kids, they doing so more after Tre's mother, Reva, seven years ago sent him, bright but adversarial, to live with his father, Furious, in the Crenshaw district of South Central Los Angeles across the street from the other two living with their single mother. The move was for Furious to show Tre what it means to have a sense of responsibility as a black male, especially in an atmosphere of black male violence against each other that pervades their neighborhoods. Furious, an independent financial adviser working in the neighborhood, believes that the urban black problems within which they live, including this violence and crime, is only fostered by the white majority. That move to live with Furious largely resulted in Tre having that responsibility in he now wanting to head off to college for a better life with his Catholic girlfriend Brandi, who has resisted the pressure of having sex in wanting to wait until the "inevitability" of she and Tre getting married. Ricky, already married with a child - the marriage because of the baby - is also aiming for a better life for his young family. A high school football star, Ricky is resting his dreams on a football scholarship. However, in not being sure he can meet the minimum SAT requirement of 700, he is sketching out a less than ideal Plan B considering that focus on his young family. Of the three, Doughboy is the one who has fallen into that "predetermined" life of crime and violence, he in a gang and having just been released from a stint in prison. Regardless of what the three view as their respective futures, those futures may be affected by the environment in which they live where looking at the wrong person in the wrong way could result in a death sentence. —Huggo
