Anthony Zimmer was a big money launderer. The police wants him, but he has changed his face and voice. His old Russian clients want him dead. His ex is told to socialize with a random man on the train Paris to Nice. Interpol and the Russian mafia are chasing Anthony Zimmer (Attal), a criminal genius responsible for money laundering in France. Zimmer has had extensive plastic surgery, and the only way to trace him is through his girlfriend Chiara (Marceau). When Francois, an ordinary man, speaks to Chiara on the train, he is mistaken for Zimmer, and thus becomes a target for the mob. In Nice, the international police force and the Russian mafia are chasing Anthony Zimmer, an intelligent man responsible for laundry of dirty money in France. Zimmer had extensive plastic surgery, and his new face and voice are completely unknown. The only means to reach Zimmer is through his beloved mistress Chiara, who is under surveillance of the police and the mobsters. While traveling by train to the country nearby Nice, the common man François Taillandier, who has the same body shape of Zimmer, is select by Chiara as if he were Zimmer and used as a bait to lure those that are pursuing her. In the 21st century, prisoners aboard penitentiary space ships explore unknown worlds. Our main character lands on a supposedly uninhabited strange new world, where he is instead greeted as a "hero" and treated like royalty. He soon finds out that heroism has a price: he has to commit a crime so that he may be publicly executed in a glorious ceremony.

Their political activity creates some difficulty for their personal relationship - As international tensions rise, Rosa makes speeches denouncing war and militarism. She seems too radical for her fellow Socialists. She meets Karl Liebknecht. When World War I begins, Rosa and Karl are united in opposition. —David Carless Rosa Luxemburg (1870-1919) is in a German prison during World War I where she writes, remaining optimistic, giving strength to the small Spartacus League she founded to oppose the war. Flashbacks trace her work in Warsaw and arrest there, her move to Berlin, her friendships and two love affairs. Her energy is palpable, as are her oratory, the clarity of her analysis, her empathy in simple human interactions, and her purpose. When the war ends, she's vindicated: Social Democrats take power, and she's released from prison. In Russia, the Bolshoi ballerina Tatiana Itovitch loses her husband, the musician Boris Itovitch, in the Russian front. She raises alone their son, the professional dancer Sergei, who escapes from Soviet Union and coming to have a daughter, the also ballerina Tania. In France, the Jewish violinist Anne Meyer marries the pianist Simon Meyer, and both are sent to a concentration camp, where Simon dies. On the train travel to the camp, Simon leaves their baby son on the trails and he is raised by a priest, becoming the lawyer Robert Prat, who has a professional singer son. Also in France, in Paris after the war, the singer Evelyne is accused of sleeping with the enemy, and moves to Dijon, where she has a daughter, Edith. In Germany, the pianist and conductor Karl Kremer leaves his wife Magda Kremer and their son to fight in the war. In USA, the famous pop singer Jack Glenn leaves his wife Suzan Glenn to join the army and entertain the troops in London. Their gay son Jason Glenn and daughter, the singer Sara Glenn become important persons in the show business.
