36 Vayathinile is the remake of the 2014 Malayalam sleeper hit, How Old Are You? The story is about a 36 year old UD clerk in the revenue department. As a woman with concrete perceptions, we see her journey and belief that her decisions, deeds and beliefs can change society.

The movie is about two sons of an idealistic school teacher who turn into ruffians. One of the brothers runs away from home and becomes an underworld don, while the other turns into a local mafia of sorts. But when they meet year later, the story takes on a strange turn.
