A young male spends the summer with his two great-uncles on their farm. While there, he gets to know them and learns about their past. He learns that they fought together. Though reluctant to put up with him at first, Hub and Garth grow to accept Walter, and even tell him fantastic stories of what they were up to while they went missing.
