The story is about a hitman named Brain who suffers an accident during a murder and struggles to survive while suspecting everyone around him to find out who is behind the accident after barely surviving.

"An ordinary man is chased by the world after being framed for the assassination of a politician." A warm-hearted and hard-working delivery man, Geon-woo, gets his 15-minutes of fame when he is named the Model Citizen. His old high school bandmate, Mu-yeol, gets in touch with him, and during their long overdue reunion, a presidential candidate gets assassinated in front of them in a horrific terrorism bombing. Amidst the chaos, Mu-yeol tells an unbelievable story: this is a set-up, and Geon-woo is supposed to take the fall as the assassin and blow himself up. Mu-yeol gives a name card to Geon-woo, tells him to trust no one, then kills himself. In an utter shock and confusion, Geon-woo scrambles from the scene but becomes a wanted fugitive as the killer of a presidential candidate. From surveillance camera to fingerprints and eyewitnesses, fabricated evidence points to him as the terrorist. Geon-woo seeks the man on the name card, a former operative, and gets his help to escape, but as the invisible forces close in on him, his friends and family are exposed to danger, in this South Korean action thriller based on a famous Japanese novel of the same title, which has been also made into a film in Japan under the same title, in the year 2010. Dae-soo and Mi-ra have Ah-reum when they are 17. Ah-reum is diagnosed with progeria, and as his body rapidly ages, his finds comfort in writing a story about how his young parents fell in love. 16 year old boy, A-Reum has Progeria Syndrome, a rare genetic defect that will cause the baby to show rapid aging from an early age. Although A-Reum has struggled again the disease, he was raised as a brilliant young child than anyone else. Young parents, Mira (SONG Hye-kyo) and Dae-su (KANG Dong-won) are still in their early 30s who had A-Ruem when they both were 17 year old, sometimes act immature but they never expressed their sorrow. A-Ruem only has few month to live, and Mira and Dae-su want to denied the reality. Although knowing that he does not have much time left, they appear on a fundraising TV show in hopes of raising enough money for his medical care. A-Ruem's appearance on a TV brings everyone's attention, and he becomes pen pal with a teenager girl who's also suffering from a disease watching the show. Exchanging letters with her becomes the joy of his days. But his body becomes more weary from aging, and he even loses his vision. —KOFIC My Brilliant Life is about the last moments of Ah-Reum, a 16-year-old boy infected with Progeria Syndrome. The kid, having the appearance of an old man, happily lived his remaining days in the loving arms of his parents. Their love story was written down with great admiration by Ah-Reum himself.
