Based on the novel Magno Mainak by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay, the film portrays the iconic Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshi along with his friend Ajit as he investigates the murder of a woman named Heena Mallick. He begins the investigation at the request of a political leader, Mr. Santosh Samaddar, who was a close friend of Heena`s parents and had given her shelter after her parent`s death. Will Byomkesh succeed?

An existential playwright and novelist Isha reads her novel to her partner, Agnibha, who is a ruthless critic. While in the middle of the reading, Agnibha presents his critical viewpoints, which initiates a discourse between them and unveils the cobweb of complexities in their love-hate relationship. Agnibha suggests a different ending to Isha's story. Will Isha understand Agnibha's point of view and change the ending of her novel? or Will this lead to more complexities in their lives?

Mitali`s 5 year old son Gogol had failed to pass the admission test in a reputed school four times. She was desperate for her only son to be admitted into a reputed missionary school, an opportunity that had been denied to her and her husband Laltu. During the fifth interview, Mitali believed it was Laltu who ruined their son`s chances by giving ludicrous answers to the questions. But she is not one to give up hope so easily. Mitali decides to enrol herself and her husband in a school that coaches parents to conduct themselves at interviews. Does Gogol finally get through the interview?
