The mayor has sent for a gunslinger who, though appearing to clean up the town, is really to be the mayor's means of taking the town over. Roy and Gabby have to establish fair business practices in the town of Deadwood, currently dominated by entrepreneurs who scare off potential competitors. Deadwood is controlled by Ripper's gang that has rendered the Sheriff and the Judge powerless. When Gabby's medicine show featuring Roy arrives they are quickly run out. They join the Laramie Gap gang that is fighting Ripper and when Gabby's inheritance money is stolen they rob the stage to get it back, Getting the money and the names assigned to it, Roy hopes this evidence will enable the Judge to bring law and order to Deadwood. —Maurice VanAuken <mvanauken@a1access.net>

A medical researcher visits the deserted home of a pioneer in cryogenic science who disappeared 10 years earlier and finds him frozen in ice but still alive. Dr. Leon Kravaal develops a potential cure for cancer, which involves freezing the patient. But an experiment goes awry when authorities believe Kravaal has killed a patient. Kravaal freezes the officials, along with himself. Years later, they are discovered and revived in hopes that Kravaal can indeed complete his cure. Bill Hickok, assisted by Calamity Jane, is after a foreign agent and his guerrilla band who are trying to take over some Western territory just as the Civil War is coming to a close. Bill Hickok in his early pre-gunslinger years as a freight-line agent protecting a gold shipment from villains out to steal gold and land out west while America is diverted by the Civil War back East. With the help of Calamity Jane and her horse-trader uncle Hickok battles the bad guys while trying to win the love of his life, Louise, in a formulaic B-Western adventure with songs. —Dale Roloff

Marshal Reb Russell (Reb Russell), working for the Cattleman's Pretectice Association, is sent into a territory to investigate a large-scale rustling operation carried out by a well organized gang of outlaws. He is ambushed outside of town by Jerry Blake (Gene Alsace), a man he once sent to prison, and kills him in the ensuing gunfight. Red finds a note on Blake that introduces him to man called Deke. The gunfight is witnessed by Tommy Lord (Hal Taliaferro) and his girlfriend, Sue Callahan ('Lucille Lund), whose father, Wade Callahan (Lafe McKee),has been a victim of the rustlers. Sue rides for the sheriff, Curt Turner (Slim Whitaker). It turns out that the sheriff and his ten-man posse comprise most of the members of the rustling gang and have no intentions of allowing Reb to leave the area with his life intact. —Les Adams <longhorn1939@suddenlink.net> Marshal Reb Russell's reputation precedes him and when he arrives the outlaw gang that includes the Sheriff and that has been doing all the rustling, captures him and plans to hang him. Tommy Lord, the man the crooked Sheriff wants for the rustling, helps him escape. Posing as a rustler he gets the Indian Agent to admit he is the buyer and to reveal who the rustlers are.
