One Room Kitchen is the story of a happy middle-class family with limited earnings. They live in a chawl where the residents are very large-hearted and emphatic although they are staying in the tiny spaces of their rooms. Life is sailing smoothly until the family feels the need to purchase a one room kitchen housing apartment that fits their budget. The need to save each money distances them from their friendly neighbours until the true meaning of happiness unfolds in their life. The Dancing Queen of Bollywood, Helen will also be a part of this venture where she plays a Catholic woman who awaits her son who went missing during the Kargil war.

CID Inspector Vijay Verma is a lonely cop whose only family is his brother Ajay and his two friends Shekhar and Seema. While chasing criminal mastermind Tony Briganza, Vijay puts the lives of all his dear ones at stake. While chasing Tony and his twin brother Jojo, Vijay falls in love with a nightclub dancer named Sapna.

Vijay, a simpleton and the lookalike of the notorious international criminal Don is hired by D'Silva, to be the mole in Don's gang and report the details of his illegal activities. However, things take a turn for the worse when D'Silva is killed.
