Balraj Kapoor (Amitabh Bachchan) is a rich businessman, happy and content with his world. He and his wife Shobhna (Hema Malini) live happily together, and they wait for their only son Avinash 'Avi' (Salman Khan) to return from his studies abroad. After an absence of 7 years, Avinash comes back to India. He reunites with his parents at the airport and races home. Back home, Avi joins his father's business. Balraj is very competitive and even engages Avi is a car race from time to time. Balwant is Balraj's elder brother. Pushpa Kapoor (Sarika) is Balraj and Balwant's widowed younger sister-in-law who has always been looked down upon by Balwant for being a widow. Panchi (Rajpal Yadav) is the household servant and chauffeur. Balwant has a son Khushi (Parmeet Sethi). Balwant insists that Indian traditions are followed in the house with full respect to the culture and religious practices. One day they decide to go golfing. Avi and Balraj engage in a friendly banter. Avi accuses Balraj of cheating at sports. Avi picks the ball and accidentally throws it in the wrong direction which ruins a painting. The young woman painting the picture, Malvika 'Millie' (Rani Mukherjee) gets furious with Balraj and leaves. Balraj admonishes Millie for trying to paint on a golf course. Balraj says that he had paid for a round of golf and that it is not a park where Millie can spread her equipment. Balraj insults Millie by saying that her painting was not very good in the first place. Millie is distraught as she had invested 3 days in the painting, and her father had taken special permission for her to paint on the golf course. Later on, Avi runs into Millie on the golf course, and they start to talk. Millie tells him that a stupid old man ruined her painting and points out that it was Balraj; but she doesn't know that the 'old man' is Avi's father, and he doesn't tell her. Avi says that Balraj is his boss, and he works for him for a pittance. They start to hang out together while slowly falling in love with each other. Avi tells Millie that he was fired from his job for speaking up his mind and standing up for the truth. Avi pursues Millie, but makes it sound like they are meeting by chance and that destiny is bringing them together. Later, Avi tells Millie that Balraj apologized for his actions and begged him to come back to work. Millie stays with her parents Jeet (Sharat Saxena) and Suman (Smita Jaykar). When Millie comes home, she is visited by her childhood friend Rajat (John Abraham). She tells him that she loves someone, which devastates him because he is also in love with her. One day, Millie goes to Avi's office to drop off a painting (Avi's interior designer had purchased 3 of Millie's paintings and she was delivering them) and finds out that Balraj is Avi's father. When Avi shows up, she leaves the office crying. He chases after her and says that the only reason he lied to her was because he loves her. She doesn't accept his apology right then, but when Balraj apologies to her for ruining her painting, she forgives them both. Avi asks Millie to get dressed up for a party at his house. When she arrives, there is no one except Avi. He proposes to her, and she accepts. The next day, Avi's whole family visits Millie's house to discuss marriage and everyone agrees, except Rajat. Rajat tells Avi that he'll let him marry her if only he promises to always keep her happy and never let her get sad. Balwant brings his entire family to the wedding, except Pushpa, whom he considers a bad omen and not fit for public functions. Balraj respects his wife's wishes and invites Pushpa for the Phere ceremony, overruling Balwant. Avi and Millie get married and soon they're expecting a child. Time goes on, Millie's water breaks while in yoga class and Avi and she flee to the hospital where they are blessed with a healthy baby boy. Their child Ansh grows up to be a sweet and intelligent boy. The family throws a birthday bash for Ansh and wait for Avi who is in a meeting. But Avi never arrives home. He is involved in an accident and dies. Millie is devastated. Balraj seeks to bring happiness back into Millie's life and gets into contact with Rajat. He learns that Rajat still loves Millie. Balraj asks Rajat to marry Millie. Rajat meets Ansh and bonds well with him. However, there is stiff opposition from Shobhna and Balraj's conservative older brother Balwant (Om Puri). Shobhna fears losing her grandson Ansh, while Balwant thinks a widow's remarriage is a sin. However, Balraj stands firm and convinces everyone. In the end, Rajat and Millie get married, and everything is well. Avinash comes in as a ghost and blesses his dad with happiness.

Vijay Kumar is an young man living in a small town in rural India, who makes his living farming. Rekha suggests that he approach the District Collector to get permission to build a hospital at another vacant spot, which he does. The Collector assures them that necessary approval will be granted. But the local Zamindar of the region, Ranjit Kumar, has other plans of his own, as he intends to build a Cinema House in his lovers (Sheela) name. When he faces opposition, he quietly backs away, and lets Rekha, Vijay and the townspeople lay the foundation of the hospital. Thereafter chaos breaks out in Vijay's life, as he is arrested by the police for killing Sheela. Vijay is tried in Court, and sentenced to life in prison. He decides to help them, puts his personal life on hold, drives a hand-drawn rickshaw, saves some money, so that he can buy provisions for them, as well as send Pinky to a decent school. Shankar, a Hindu priest`s son, witnesses his father`s murder and gets separated from his mother and sister. Angry with God, he grows up an atheist and vows to avenge his father.

Two siblings attempt to avenge the death of their father and elder sister. But the sister believes in the law while the brother believes in administering justice himself. Jan Nissar Akhtar Khan works as a Forest Officer, and lives with his wife Zakhiya. One day while on duty he comes across some poachers who were cutting sandal wood trees illegally. When challenged, they retaliate, a struggle ensues, and one of them, Ram Gupta, gets killed. Khan is charged with killing him, tried in Court, and sentenced to several years in prison. His shocked and devastated wife kills herself. Years later, an angry and embittered Khan is released from prison. One day he comes across another young man, Vijay Singh, and finds out that he is struggling with taking vengeance against two men who had traumatized and killed some of his family members, and decides to help him. It is then Khan finds out that Gupta is still alive and decides to kill him, quite dramatically in the same courtroom where he was convicted for his murder. Watch how this action will effect Khan's future, and Vijay's plan for avenging his family.

Rajput began in 1975 as a dream project with all the makings of a blockbuster hit. It had Goldie as the director,LP as music directors; and Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Rajesh Khanna, Vinod Khanna as the lead actors. Following her phenomenal success in Laila Majnu,the gorgeous Ranjeeta was also roped in. As if that was not enough, they also signed Tina Munim some time in the middle of the project. Unfortunately, the movie took seven years to see the light of the day, and it turned out to be only an average box office earner. There is no satisfactory explanation available as to why it took so long. Maybe there were problems with the dates of the overworked stars. To a viewer, the main problem appears to be the the weak story-line which ,it seems, was revised again and again, and it became weaker with each revision. The characters played by Dharmendra and Hema Malini are deeply in love, and they get physically intimate, but their parents-Om Shivpuri and Rehman- are sworn enemies. The result is that Hema gets married to the character played by Rajesh Khanna, and Dharmendra goes to jail as he kills the dacoit who attacks Hema Malini's Doli. Hema gives birth to Dharmendra's son who is raised by Rajesh Khanna as his own son, even though he knows the truth. Bhanu (Vinod Khanna) is in love with Kamali( Ranjeeta) who gets raped by Ranjeet who plays a tyrant ex ruler. Ranjeet is a widower who has a daughter from his first marriage-played by Tina Munim. Vinod Khanna forces Ranjeet to marry Ranjeeta, and kidnaps the daughter (Tina Munim) to settle the scores. Predictably, the kidnapped daughter falls in love with the kidnapper. In spite of the multi star billing, the bizarre twists to the story lead to the evident asymmetry in the relationships as Hema is the heroine for both Dharmendra and Rajesh Khanna; and Vinod Khanna is the hero for both Ranjeeta and Tina Munim. I give full marks to Goldie as he managed to make a watchable movie even though the project dragged for seven years for whatever reasons. Among the actors, Rajesh Khanna has performed the best. Physically, he looks less of a Rajput if you compare him with Dharmendra,Vinod Khanna, and Ranjeet. But his role was meatier, and he did full justice to it as the devoted lover, committed husband, caring and loving foster father, and a brave and intelligent Police Officer. Dharmendra didn't have much scope in the story. Vinod Khanna didn't have too much scope either, but he was the director's darling. Goldie sure gave special importance to his Guru Bhai ( Ref Acharya Rajneesh) ,Vinod Khanna, who gets significant footage particularly during the climax. It should be mentioned that while Goldie and Mahesh Bhatt had deserted Rajneesh, Vinod Khanna was still with the Godman and even went with him to America.He could shoot for the film only when he visited India. The girls were totally ignored except for some scintillating scenes of Hema Malini. Ranjeet was too young to play Tina's father and certainly inadequate to be the main villain. I recall when I first saw this movie, my fellow viewers wondered why Prem Nath was not there in the movie. Certainly a watchable film. The names of the actors should be taken to mean the characters played by them in the film.

He keeps in touch with Aarti, and they grow up in love with each other. On the day Vicky decides to propose for marriage to Aarti, she is sold by her lecherous uncle for a few thousand rupees, to a group of men who attempt to rape her, but she kills herself. Enraged by this, Vicky hunts down her uncle, and her molesters and kills them by throwing from a high-rise building. Vicky's anger prompts him to more daredevil deeds, and he ends up becoming the ultimate underworld don with a private army of his own. Then one of his associates, Neera, gets married to CBI Officer Kumar Sahni, and Vicky is on the run, and believed to be dead when his bullet-proof crashes. Years later Neera comes to visit her in-laws in a small town, and is introduced to a kind and saintly person with special powers for healing named Shradhanand. She is shocked to find that Shradhanand is none other than Vicky. Chandramukhi visits Shimla and learns that she is a reincarnation of Paro, a girl who was raped and murdered. Plagued by her dark past, she attempts to bring the culprits to justice. The setting is in scenic Simla, summer capital of the British Raj in the 1970's. Chandramukhi from Bombay is on holiday with her parents and so is Naresh, a US educated medical professional with his parents. Chandramukhi and Naresh show interest in each other, encouraged by their parents. Choudhary Janak Singh, an important and wealthy man lives with his lawyer daughter Karuna in a lovely colonial period mansion. Their house-guest Mohan, a lawyer from Chandigarh is a protege of Janak Singh. Karuna and Mohan develop a romantic interest. The story of Paro and Madho, who lived in pre-independence India comes to affect the present. Events of thirty years ago in the lives of Paro, Madho,Janak, Saraswathi, the gardener and the disgraced policeman come back to create soulful links between past and present. Themes from the life of Zamindars, British Colonial rulers, parapsychology and law are skilfully twisted, so that most turns in the tale are unexpected. Attention to detail is excellent.

The film takes place in the 19th Century British India and is the story of the fight for independence from the British between 1825 and 1875. The film tells the story of men that lead the war against British Rule: Sanga (Dilip Kumar), Bharat (Manoj Kumar) known as Kranti, a prince Shakti (Shashi Kapoor) and a freedom fighter (Shatrughan Sinha). Sanga is an honest and dedicated employee in the kingdom of Ramgarh, owing allegiance and loyalty to no one except Raja Laxman Singh (P. Jairaj). When Laxman Singh conditionally permits the British to use the port for trading purposes, Sangha finds out that the British are taking out gold and jewelry and bringing in ammunition, and puts a stop to this. He goes to report this outrage to Laxman Singh, only to find him stabbed to death. Sanga is charged with treason and of killing Laxman Singh. Sangha was betrayed by Laxman's brother Shamsher (Pradeep Kumar) and his brother-in-law Shambhu (Prem Chopra), who wants to see Shamsher on the throne of Ramgarh. SAngha is forced to accept charges of treason when Shambhu captures his wife Radha (Nirupa Roy) and son. Sentenced to death, he escapes (Before escaping he cuts off Shambhu's arm with which he killed his unborn baby) and forms a group of revolutionaries who have only one goal - to drive the British out of India. But the baby is born by miracle of God. Sanga doesn't know it as he has escaped the kingdom. Shambhu goes after Sanga's unprotected family. Sanga's elder son is saved by Sanga's friend & is named Bharat (Manoj Kumar). Meanwhile his younger son is saved by the palace maid, who puts the baby as the new born child of Laxman's sister Queen Charumati (Shashikala) (who has had 3 dead kids so far). The younger child grows up to be prince Shakti (Shashi Kapoor). Sanga captures a British ship and becomes a pirate to disrupt their sea based supply chains. This group multiplies into several armies, all united with one slogan - an Independent India, also known as Kranti. Bharat (Manoj Kumar) starts his own army which has Sureeli (Parveen Babi), Sheetal (Sarika) and Kareem Khan (Shatrughan Sinha). Kareem is captured by Shamsher and his forces. Bharat rescues Kareem before he is killed. In response Shamsher appoints Shakti his new commander of the armed forces. Shamsher's own son Prince (Dheeraj Kumar) is very pissed with this decision, but Shamsher explains he did this, so no-one would accuse him of bias when he appoints Prince to be the new King. Rajkumari Meenakshi (Hema Malini) is en-route to Ramgarh to wed Prince. She is arrogant and is imprisoned by Bharat, when her commander Darmiyan Singh (Manmohan) tries to rape Sureeli. Bharat decides to send Sureeli as the princess to Ramgarh, to infiltrate the enemy camp. Meanwhle Bharat rescues slaves from a British mining settlement, which includes Radha. Without knowing, mother and son are united. Bharat shows Meenakshi how British have tortured Indians to further their own business interests. Meenakshi converts to helping Bharat. Based on Sureeli's intelligence, Bharat stops Shakti from transporting India art and religious treasures to Britain. He spares Shakti's life in the process. Meenakshi is in love with Bharat, but Sureeli secretly loves him too. Bharat and Sanga are known as Kranti.. to turn public opinion against Kranti, British, with Shambhu start carrying our rapes and other atrocities in the name of Kranti. Sheetal is raped and killed in her village during one such revenge raid. This leads Bharat and Sanga to blame each other for the crimes. The two Kranti's have a showdown and fight with swords when Shakti shows up and arrests them both. Meenakshi and Kareem join forces to rescue Sanga and Bharat, but Sureeli's father is killed in the process. Sureeli is also killed by Shambhu when he realizes that she is not Princess Meenakshi. Shakti again captures Bharat (when he tracks the horse carriage used by Sureeli to come to the Ramgarh palace, it leads him to Bharat's hideout) and makes him a slave on a British ship. Bharat finds Kareem in the ship's hold. Meenakshi becomes a slave girl on the same ship. They convert the ship's slave master to their side and eventually kill all the Brits. Meanwhile Sanga confronts Shakti and defeats him in a sword fight. Sanga spares his life and rides away, but Shambhu shoots at his back and misses. Sanga thinks Shakti shot at him as a coward. Meanwhile the palace maid is dying and tells Shakti that Charutmati is not his mother and his real mom is Radha. As Shakti reunites with his mom, he is captured by Sanga. Radha follows Shakti and is reunited with Sanga. Radha meets Bharat and asks him to rescue Shakti (who has been kidnapped by Kranti, not knowing Sanga is Kranti). Bharat intervenes before Sanga can kill Shakti (Sanga is intent to punish Shakti even knowing that Shakti is his son). They all escape when the Brits attack Sanga's hideout and Shakti saves them Shambhu basically kidnaps Radha and Meenakshi, forcing Sanga and Bharat to join forces and attack the fort. At the fort Radha runs into the palace maid who tells her that Bharat is her elder son. Kareem sacrifices himself to fire an old cannon that brings down the door of the fort. Sanga heads towards the palace as Shambhu is taking Meenakshi and Radha there. Sanga rescues them and Meenakshi stays with Sanga, while Shakti goes with Radha to find Bharat who is trying to silence the cannons aimed at the villagers. Meenakshi goes into labor. Sanga takes Meenakshi away from the cannons where she can give birth. Meanwhile Bharat sacrifices himself to silence the cannons. Sanga leads Meenakshi to Radha, where she has already given birth. Before dying Bharat uses the cannons to injure Shambhu and the British garrison posted at Ramgarh. Shambhu turns one cannon towards Bharat and delivers a deadly blow. Bharat dies in the arms of his parents after kissing his son. Yrs later, Bharat's son kills Shambhu and avenges the death of his father.

Sushil Kumar, a police officer, is charged with the task of apprehending a gang of kidnappers, who only target women. However, doing so not only threatens his identity and life but also his family's. Sushil Kumar lives a middle-class lifestyle in Riksapur in the District of Bhagalpur, located in a country called Mundustan, along with his widowed mom, Kamini, an unmarried sister, Shobha, and his pregnant wife, Sunita. Shobha falls in love with a wealthy man named Kumar, introduces him to her family, gets their approval and gets married. Prem also has debts with a loan shark Khanna, who wants to partner with Anup. Prem has promised to deliver Anup to Khanna in exchange of the debts. Prem wants Anup to sign on the partnership documents with Khanna. The company accountant (S. N. Banerjee) tells Anup that Khanna is selling Anup's goods to multiple parties even without having the goods in possession. So, if Anup signs the deal, the company will not be able to deliver the goods, and it will cost them Rs 8 Lakhs in losses. Anup confronts Prem, but still loves Prem & continues to support him without the knowledge of his grandfather Ashok Verma (Ashok Kumar). Prem is the son of Ashok's daughter, while Anup is Ashok's grandson. Anup sees meeting his dream girl as a good sign, as that prevented him from signing the partnership documents and causing a huge loss to the company. Sapna and Chandu team up to scam rich people out of their money to support the orphanage. Sapna poses as an unmarried mother (with Roopa's baby) and interrupts the wedding to claim that the groom is the father. The groom's father (D. K. Sapru) wants to pay off Sapna, but their family friend Colonel (Satyendra Kapoor) wants the groom to marry Sapna instead. This prompts Sapna and Chandu to run away, and to avoid detection by the police, Chandu hides the kid in a car. The car belongs to Anup, who unknowingly brings the baby home. Chandu and Sapna follow and pose as saints to get the baby back. They claim that the boy is an incarnation of the Lord. They distract Anup and Daima and escape with the baby. Sapna is in financial difficulty & decides to allow adoption of kids to survive. She even gives away Chintoo to Dr Kapoor (Ramesh Deo) (who lives in America and claims that Chintoo's disability can be cured with proper treatment in the US), but then can't see the kids being all sad as one of them is given away. She goes & gets Chintoo back. Ashok admonishes Anup for supporting Prem even when he knows of Prem's association with his hooligan friends. He is also sick of Anup's womanizing ways & wants to marry him off. Anup says he is in love & Ashok wants to meet the girl. Anup meets Sapna when she tries to swindle him again with the car hitting the pram trick. But this time Anup catches her red handed & gets her to pose as Princess Sapna, & his girlfriend in front of Ashok. Ashok is instantly fond of Sapna & refuses for her to leave the house. Now Chandu is caught by Colonel whom they duped earlier & is handed over to police. There is no one at home to care for the kids. The kids wander the streets to find Sapna & finally locate her. But Sapna is forced to refuse them due to the fear of disappointing Ashok & the money promised by Anup, which can pay for the well-being of all the kids. But Anup finds out the truth & helps to bail out Chandu & takes care of the kids. When Sapna finds out, she loves Anup. But Prem also finds Sapna's real identity. He tries to blackmail Sapna for money, but she refuses to play along, even though Prem knows that Sapna was once a call girl by the name of Champabai. Prem reveals the truth at the engagement party for Anup & Sapna. Ashok is furious but finds that Sapna has already left the house leaving a letter behind. Ashok refuses to allow Anup to marry Sapna, but his mind is made. Then Daima reveals that Ashok's son didn't have a son, he had a daughter before both husband and wife died in an accident. Daima wanted to save the wealth from going to Prem's evil dad, so gave the daughter to a woman named Ratna & brought Anup from an orphanage. Prem knows this Ratna & immediately connects that Sapna is Ashok's real granddaughter. Prem finds the real Ratna & pays her to identify Roopa (Alka) as the granddaughter. He then kidnaps Ratna, Sapna & the kids & plans to kill them all to remove all proof against Roopa. But Anup follows & rescues them. Ratna accepts the truth in front of Ashok. He accepts Sapna & her entire brood & marries her off to Anup.

A singer by profession, Suraj (Rajesh Khanna) gets stranded in resthouse in the coutnryside during a rainstorm. While there he experiences ununsual feelings, as if he has been there before. He feels himself transported to another time and era, to another birth, and drawn to a woman named Ratna (Hema Malini). He is unable to leave this experience behind him, and decides to find out what this means. He discovers that in his past life he was a Chief Singer in the emperor's court, his name was Prakash and he had fallen in love with a courtesan named Ratna, much to the chargin and anger of his family and the emperor's and his officials. They are tragically separated. He subsequently comes across a portrait of Ratna, and shortly after he meets a gypsy, Jhumri (also Hema Malini) who looks exactly like Ratna. Soon Jhumri is also able to recollect her past life, and her love for Prakash. This does not auger well with Rita Malhotra (Asha Sachdev) who loves Suraj, and Appa (Prem Chopra), the son of the leader of the gypsies (Madan Puri), who will not stop at anything to make Jhumri his wife. Appa steals the portrait, and instigates the gypsies against Suraj, so that he can marry Jhumri, and perhaps separate the two lovers again in this birth also.

A police officer framed for drug possession escapes jail while his wife is institutionalized. Years later, their son becomes a feared crime boss who falls for a thief, leading to dangerous consequences. Inspector Shiv Nath is a honest and diligent police officer in Bombay, and lives with his wife, Radha, and a young son, Arjun. While making several arrests in connection with counterfeit money and drugs, he comes to know that his close friend, Karamchand is also involved in this racket. Before he could take any action, he himself is arrested by the police for possession of fake money and drugs, and sentenced to a jail term, but he escapes and his whereabouts are unknown. Radha loses her mind and is institutionalized, while Arjun takes to petty crime and on reaching adult-hood is the Don of the area known and feared as "Dus Numbri". He meets with and falls in love with a petty thief and card-sharp, Rosemary Fernandes. When Radha accidentally meets with Rosemary, she thinks it is Sundari, Karamchand's wife, and then Radha starts to regain her sanity. When Rai passes away, Renuka asks Ram to fulfill his grandfather's last wishes, one of which was to get married. She even arranges his introduction to Aarti, an attractive young woman. But Ram is convinced that marriage is not for him. Renuka is overjoyed when her estranged brother, Gopinath, and his son, Rakesh, return from abroad. With their help she hopes to get Ram marries with Aarti. Then things get complicated when Rakesh falls in love with Aarti. Ram leaves town to attend to business, and circumstances propel Renuka to will her entire estate to Rakesh and change his name to Bharat, with the blessings of a renowned saint named Ishwar Baba. The poor woman Leela can't have a child herself and keeps one girl for herself when she sees that the rich woman has given birth to twins. Many yrs later, the rich couple are long since dead. Geeta, a feisty girl is raised in a poor neighborhood and is a street performer with Raka (Dharmendra), while Seeta is raised by her cruel aunt Chachi Kaushalya (Manorama) and meek uncle Badrinath (Satyendra Kapoor). Chachi treats Seeta like a servant, despite the fact that the family is living off her late parents' money. Seeta's only consolation is her old wheelchair bound grandmother (Pratima Devi). Kaushalya's daughter is Shiela (Honey Irani) who treats Seeta like her personal slave. Ranjeet (Roopesh Kumar) is Kaushalya's brother and lusts for Seeta and wants to sexually assault her. Kaushalya dresses up Seeta once a month when the trustee comes to give monthly allowance from her inheritance. Kaushalya will cease to be the guardian if Seeta gets married. One day Kaushalya removes Seeta's expensive Saree and forces her to parade half naked in the house in front of Ranjeet. Seeta is champion in all housework and very docile, but Geeta is street smart and knows no housework at all. Ravi (Sanjeev Kumar) is a wealthy doctor, who is looking for an "Indian" bride. The trustee suggests Seeta. When Kaushalya finds out, she dresses Sheila in an Indian attire and Seeta in a skimpy western attire for the meeting with Ravi and his parents. Ravi leaves when Seeta drops the tea tray after being tripped by Sheila. Grandmother emerges from her room and begs Ravi and her parents not to leave Seeta. One day, Seeta decides life is not worth living and runs away to commit suicide (The night after Ravi leaves, Ranjeet enters Seeta's room late at night and tries to sexually assault her. when Seeta screams Ranjeet accuses her of stealing his wallet and beats her with a belt). At the same time Geeta leaves home as Leela hits with a Jhaadoo for playing with kids instead of taking care of housework. Raka is worries about their performance and lack of resultant income. Badrinath reports Seeta's disappearance to the police. Seeta is saved by Raka but is mistaken for her identical twin Geeta and is taken to Geeta's home. Seeta finds motherly love in Leela and gladly accepts it. Meanwhile, Seeta's aunt and uncle are frantically searching for her and find Geeta. Geeta reports a street gambler to the police and the inspector identified her as Seeta based on report of Badrinath. The inspector, Badri and Kaushalya attempt to force Geeta to go with them but, using some of her clever tricks, she escapes them and the police who have been searching for her. She then meets Ravi (Sanjeev Kumar) and, though he also mistakes her for Seeta, she goes home with him. Ravi is surprised by this "Seeta" and the Seeta he had met previously. Geeta is then taken to Badri and Kaushalya's. Geeta realizes the cruelty that Seeta has been living under and vows to teach her aunt a lesson. Meanwhile, the real Seeta is living in Geeta's house. Her surrogate mother has attributed her new docile attitude to shock. Here, Seeta meets Raka (Dharmendra), Geeta's friend and fellow performer. Raka is also surprised by "Geeta's" sudden gentle nature and desire to do housework. When he tried to coax her into performing, she is unable to do so. Ravi meanwhile falls in love with Geeta. At home, Geeta begins to set everything on a proper course. She resumes control of the money and restores her grandmother to the head of the household (by giving her the keys to the house safe and giving her the head chair at the dinner table), where she belongs. Ravi proposes to Geeta, thinking she is Seeta. Raka begins to fall in love with Seeta. Trouble begins brewing when Chachi's brother Ranjeet returns home (he is also beaten up badly by Geeta by his own belt) and sees the real Seeta in a marketplace. He follows her and discovers the truth, which leads to a showdown in the villains' den. Seeta is abducted by Ranjeet. Ranjeet brings Raka to his house to expose Geeta. Ranjeet proves that Geeta is a street performer who wanted the riches of the house and a comfortable life by duping Ravi. Geeta is arrested by the police. Leela also comes and sees the photo of the rich couple of the wall and realizes the truth that Seeta and Geeta are sisters. Leela tells the truth to Raka. Raka rescues Geeta from jail. Ranjeet brings Ravi to his lair to treat Seeta, who has injured herself. Ranjeet wants to marry Seeta to become the legal heir of her wealth. Raka and Geeta track down Seeta and attack Ranjeet's lair. A fight ensues and Ranjeet is arrested. All is well.
