Parimal is born a boy, but there has always been another identity hidden within Parimal's male physical appearance. The only way out for him is to escape from his parents, his family, and his neighborhood in search of a world that did not seem so unidentifiable. In his quest, Parimal reaches a new city, Kolkata where he is welcomed by a transgender shelter. And Parimal soon becomes Puti. There, he meets Madhu and falls in love with him. As Madhu discovers more about Puti's physicality, he wonders how he could feel attracted to a woman who has a male body? Were these things even possible in reality? ìMandobasar Galpoî is a Romantic Musical ñ Thriller where the main protagonist Ahana Sen (played by Paoli Dam) is a cerebral film maker of national reputes but is a loner in reality after losing her fiancÈ Ritwick Basu (played by Kaushik Sen) few days before their wedding. Ritwik's sudden demise, left Ahana deserted, lonely and totally dejected with all the positive facets of life. Dr. Sayantan Chowdhury, a renowned psychiatrist (played by Parambrata Chatterjee) treated her, helped her come out of the melancholia and had been instrumental in making Ahana a successful film maker. But all the feature films, directed by Ahana depicted the darker shades of human nature and essentially always resulted in a climax, which always felt her audiences sad & gloomy. In short, her personal crisis was gradually making a vast impact in her creativity. Things changed drastically, when Ahana met Rick Ray, (played by Indrasish Roy), a budding musician in an audition and she gave him the lead character in her new movie. Ahana's behaviour started undergoing a gradual change for better with ongoing time. She also started getting attracted to Rick. Why? None knew about that. Ahana also started feeling jealous of Oidrilla (played by Ritu Rai), the heroine of her movie due to her excessive interest towards Rick. This triangular relationship started effecting the film adversely. The Producer of the movie Anurag Bhattacharya and the PR personnel Mallika couldn't handle the situation as Ahana seemed very stubborn and adamant in all her decisions. Why? None knew about that. Sreeparna (played by Dipanwita), the chief assistant director of Ahana and her journalist boyfriend Abhirup Dutta (played by Anindya Chatterjee) also started to take keen interest in this uncanny love story between Ahana & Rick, as there was something unusual about it. This is when the plot unfolds. The story is about the various facets of human emotion and how the characters deal with them.

Chatushkone is about human relationships, more of unconventional ones. Its also about ambition and vengeance. Chotushkone is a bevy of Bengali film actors and directors and has four short stories in one film. The film blurs the lines between reel and real with actors, who are playing themselves in this movie.

An affair that begins one rainy evening on a lonely Calcutta street. And ends on yet another rainy evening in the Andaman Islands. A journey dotted by love, jealousy and destiny, it is loosely inspired by the works of William Shakespeare. The film begins with a shot in which a very disheveled looking Abhijit (Abir Chatterjee) enters the room to find Debjani (Raima Sen) lying dead on the bed. The story goes back to a flashback and we get to see the reason behind such a fatal outcome. Abhijit is a professor of Mathematics at St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He lives with his only sister Mallika who is a crime journalist by profession. A chance meeting with a soothsayer (Sohag Sen) who warns Abhijit to stay away from love for his own good is not given much importance by the professor. One rainy night he comes across a beautiful damsel in distress Debjani, stranded, as her taxi has broken down. He gives Debjani, a trainee heart surgeon, a lift in his car and Cupid strikes. They date and fall in love. Abhijit, however, faces a problem at his job when an infatuated student proposes him. He rejects and in retaliation she does something to get back at the professor. He is initially arrested, and then ostracized by one and all. Faced with such grave issues at work, he goes to the Andamans along with Debjani in search of a new life. There they meet Shubhro (Indrasish Roy) who is Debjani's junior from their high school days. Shubhro runs an NGO at Port Blair and composes music in his pastime. Shubhro and Debjani spend time together rejuvenating their old friendship. At times, Abhijit gets jealous of Shubhro's unwavering attention on Debjani. Shubhro dies in an accident and this leaves Abhijit in a confused state. He begins to question himself about the prophecy of the soothsayer. What actually happens next? Does Abhijit leave Debjani? Who killed Debjani? Hrid Majharey answers them all.

Ridhima Ghosh plays Kamalika, a spirited young woman of stunning beauty who shares similar feelings for all four of them.
