Just then Alex's sister Pattie comes in, drinking lemonade, which gives Alex an idea. We next see Alex as he is gathering supplies and materials for what turns out to be a lemonade stand. We see Alex at his new stand int heir front yard as two customers approach. Alex serves them, has a brief exchange, and in return receives a tip from one of the customers. Alex's sister Pattie and her friend Becky are watching this exchange and decide they need to get involved when they see Alex is actually making some money. We next see Becky, Pattie, and Alex each taking turn running the stand and helping customers. Alex returns home with his two employees and pays them for their work. Having generated some income using his savings Alex again asks his mom if they can go buy the toy he wanted in the beginning of the film. His mom offers him three different ways he can use this newly generated income; a combination of buying the toy, investing in his business, or doing both. Alex considers these options. We now see Becky and Pattie setting up the lemonade stand again. While Pattie is stacking some cups on the stand we see Alex behind her as he shoots the stack of cups with his new toy gun, the same toy from the ad he saw at the start of the film. Additionally, the camera pans up to reveal that he has also open-end a second lemonade stand indicating he went with the option of purchasing the toy and investing back into his business.

Nedungadi (Alummoodan), President of a Hindu Temple; Govindan Nair (Paravoor Bharathan), a running postman; Venkitesan (Mamukkoya), Ezhuthachan's loyal servant and K. K. Jacob, an aimless hunter. Ezhuthachan lives with (KPAC Lalitha) and Bhanumathi (Gouthami). He has a son, Prabhakaran (Murali) who lives distant from the family. After a long haul, Ezhuthachan's school gets the official permission for operation. He and his allies cleanse and renovate the building which was already built for the purpose but attended by Madhavi's (Philomina) tired buffalos. To celebrate the good news, Ezhuthachan and his allies host a small party within themselves. Amidst the jollity, Ezhuthachan dies from a stroke. Following his death, his son files for partition at the court thereby halting the school's operation. At that juncture, P. K. Sudhakaran (Sreenivasan) arrives at the village only to know that the school has halted its operation. He becomes desperate as he had spend a fair sum of money for the teacher's post. He does several things to regain his post or money and becomes the nidus for the story's progression.

Chetan can take any form, as he is a spirit, but his forms scare the kids, until he takes the form that Laxmi shows him (the drawing that her father made of Chetan). Chetan wants the kids to save the talisman, which is the key to his freedom. Laxmi asks Chetan to stay with her at her house. Mathravadhi is pissed to find that Chetan is gone. Nobody can see Chetan except the 3 kids. Laxmi takes Chetan to a bar where her father spends his time. Chetan drinks everything in the bar. Meanwhile Raja and Anthony are looking for a magician who can defeat Mantravadhi and can get them the treasure. They find Hawa Hawai (Urmila Matondkar). Hawa Hawai decides to collaborate as she wants Chetan and the guys want the treasure. Hawa Hawai tells the guys that her father created Chetan as a pure soul in the temple many yrs ago. But Mantravadhi was her father's servant and stole Chetan for petty gains. She wants to restore Chetan to the temple. She thwarts Mantravadhi's attempt to capture Chetan at the kids school. But Mantravadhi detects Hawa Hawai's presence and turns her into a cat with his spells. Chetan tells the kids that Mantravadhi is using Chetan's powers to release a large treasure hidden in the old house, which is protected with spells. Chetan says one day he will have to leave the kids. But Laxmi wants him to get her father to stop drinking before he leaves. Chetan obliges her by destroying the bar where Laxmi's father frequents. Father hits Laxmi in frustration, but is repentant and gives up drinking. For Chetan's farewell party, the kids use the talisman, which turns Hawa Hawai back to human form and gives Mantravadhi his location, who quickly captures Chetan. Laxmi enters the house to look for Chetan. Vijay and Vinod follow. They find Hawa Hawai at the house entrance. She uses the talisman to break the defenses erected by Mantravadhi. Chetan is free and kills Mantravadhi. he turns into a bat and flies away.
