X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of mutants and the formation of the two rival groups among them. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not arch enemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto`s Brotherhood and Professor X`s X-Men.

Ben Carson (Kiefer Sutherland) works at Mayflower as a night security guard. He starts seeing some intense visions which he initially ignores as mere hallucinations. He finds a mirror covered with hand prints but only on the reflected side of it. He soon finds the wallet of Gary Lewis, the previous night guard (who died at the beginning of the film). Inside is a note that says ``Esseker``. He soon realises that the mirrors make people do things to themselves, that they do not realise are happening. Meanwhile, his sister Angie (Amy Smart) is killed by her own reflection as it grips its jaw and pulls it apart. Distraught at seeing her body, he sets out to find the mystery behind the mirrors. Rest is how he discovers the horrifying truth of the mirrors and ends up getting trapped himself.

"Everything decays" says the main character, a poor man who was inadvertently poisoned while working at a Russian Nuclear facility. Knowing that he is dying, he sets out with a stolen quantity of PU 239, a weapons grade form of radioactive material. To attempt to make something meaningful come out of the certain end of his life, he sets out for Moscow, where he incompetently attempts to sell the lethal material to who ever can read his hand-held sign, which simply says "PU 239." To the civilized mind this scene is more remnicient of the American Wild West than a modern scene in a country as developed as Russia. To sell radioactive material, you just write the product name on a sign and hold it out for everyone on the street to observe? The protagonist does so as innocently as if he were selling vegtables at a roadside stand. As the plot races on, one gets the opinion that Russia IS the Wild west. Life is cheap, very cheap! With that first clumsy attempt at converting the material to cash for his family (wife and young son), he collides with an unimaginative street hood. Together, the dying man, and the incompetent criminal approach multiple other criminals with the offer to make them rich. However, the Biblical warning "there is no honor among thieves" plays out as the thugs eventually kill first the hood that "represents" him, and then he, himself. The bullet from the Moscow criminal did not truly kill him, however. The truth is that he was dead from the inception of the story. The product is death on wheels. In the movie, it is referred to as having a 40,000 year half life. Be this as it may, it is not nose candy. However, reaping what he sowed, the man that shot the dying man to death, then stupidly, snorts from the vile, and the story soon ends. The movie plays like a parable. Who among us can be wise enough to understand the deeper meanings that this story reveals?

Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has relocated from southern France to Miami, Florida. He beats off a gang of 4 moderately armed carjackers in an empty car park, who try to steal his car, without breaking a sweat. As a favor, he becomes a temporary chauffeur for the wealthy Billings family. The marriage of Jefferson (Matthew Modine) and Audrey Billings (Amber Valletta) is under great strain due to the demands of his high-profile government job. Jefferson was hosting drug enforcement ministers from 6 Latin American countries in Miami. Frank bonds with their son, Jack (Hunter Clary), whom he drives to and from elementary school in his new Audi A8 W12. Frank teaches Jack his rules about cars. Respect a man's car to get respect from the man, greet the man after entering the car, always wear a seat belt, and never make a promise that you can't keep. Audrey thanks Frank for shielding Jack from the fight she and Jefferson were having when he drove in. She then asks Frank to do her a favor and drive Jack to his doctor's appointment for a vaccination over the weekend. Unknown to both of them, their conversation was being monitored. A mafia leader Gianni, is told that Frank will be driving Jack to his doctor's appointment the next day at 9 am. Gianni then takes delivery of 2 cases, one with a virus and one with the antidote. Later, a somewhat drunk Audrey shows up at Frank's home and tries to seduce him, but he tactfully sends her home. Frank prepares for the arrival of Inspector Tarconi (François Berléand), his detective friend from France, who has come to spend his holiday in Florida with Frank. The next day, Gianni's team reaches the medical clinic before Jack. When Frank takes Jack for a medical checkup, he realizes barely in time that impostors have killed and replaced the doctor and receptionist (as he sees blood coming out from under the closet door). A lengthy fight erupts between villains, led by Lola (Kate Nauta), and the unarmed Frank. As Frank manages to defeat the villains, Lola gives instructions to her associates outside the clinic to install a bomb under Frank's car. Frank is able to escape with Jack, but just as they arrive at Jack's house, he receives a phone call informing him he and Jack are in the sights of a sniper capable of penetrating the car's bulletproof glass with a 7.62 armor-piercing round. Frank is forced to let Lola into the car; they speed away with Jack, shaking off many pursuing police cars with Frank displaying his formidable skills behind the wheel of his Audi. They arrive at a warehouse, where Frank meets Gianni (Alessandro Gassmann as Alessandro Gassman), the ringleader of the operation who demands a $5 million ransom from the Billings. Frank is ordered to leave without Jack. He discovers an explosive attached to his car and succeeds in removing it just moments prior to detonation. US Marshal Stappleton (Keith David) is in charge of the investigation. Frank calls Jefferson and tells him that the kidnappers are in 3 speedboats heading north on the Intercoastal. But nobody is willing to believe Frank, as he is suspected of being part of the kidnapping. Jack is returned to his family after the payment of a ransom, but unknown to them and Frank, Jack has been injected with a deadly virus that will eventually kill anyone who the child breathes on. Frank recovers a syringe left by the kidnappers at the doctor's office. Suspected by everyone except Audrey of being one of the kidnappers, Frank tracks down one of the fake doctors, Dimitri (Jason Flemyng), with Tarconi's assistance. Frank pretends to infect Dimitri with the same virus, then lets him escape. Dimitri panics and hurries to a lab to get the cure, killing Tipov for his dose, with Frank following behind. He follows Dimitri to a makeshift lab, where he fights off another henchman and discovers the kidnappers have manufactured a deadly and highly contagious virus. Jack has been infected, passing the virus to his parents. Frank kills Dimitri, but when Frank refuses to bargain with him, the doctor in charge of the lab hurls the only two vials containing the antidote out of the window into traffic. Frank manages to retrieve only one vial intact. Frank sneaks back into the Billings home and tells an already ailing Audrey what is happening. He uses the antidote on Jack. Meanwhile, a coughing Jefferson, the director of National Drug Control Policy, addresses the heads of many anti-drug organizations from around the world at a conference. Frank drives to the house of Gianni, who has decided to inject himself with the remaining supply of antidote as a precaution. After dispatching Gianni's many henchmen, Frank has the arch-villain at gunpoint. Gianni explains that a Colombian drug cartel is paying him to get rid of its enemies, and that Frank cannot risk killing him, for his death would render the antidote unusable. Then an armed Lola shows up, leading to a Mexican standoff. Gianni leaves Lola to deal with Frank. Frank finally manages to kill her by kicking her into a wine rack with sharp metal points. Frank tracks Gianni, who is escaping in his helicopter to a waiting jet. Using a Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster from Gianni's garage, Frank speeds to the airport and boards Gianni's jet by driving onto the runway and climbing onto the jet's nose gear. Frank gets into the interior of the plane and confronts Gianni, who pulls a gun on him. When they wrestle for it, a round kills the pilot and the plane crashes into the ocean. Frank incapacitates Gianni by paralyzing him (rendering him immobile while preserving the antidote in his system), then pushes his captive and himself out of the sinking plane. Boats converge to pick them up. The Billings are given the antidote. When Frank visits them in the hospital, before entering their room, he sees them with Jack, who is joking with them. He silently walks back to his car, where Tarconi is waiting. He drops his friend at the airport. Alone, Frank receives a call from a man who needs a transporter.
