Kanamachhi stars Ankush, Abir Chatterjee, Srabanti and Sananda in leading roles. Srabanti & Ankush are journalists working for a leading newspaper. Ankush plays a photo journalist who does an investigative story that disappoints the political mafia ruling the state. Due to this both face various problems and how the duo emerge triumphant by successfully overcoming the opposition they face forms the film`s story.

Mugamoodi (English: Mask) is an upcoming Indian Tamil superhero film, written and directed by Mysskin that stars Jiiva, Pooja Hegde and Narain in lead roles. The film`s dubbed Telugu version, titled Mask will also be releasing along with. The film is about a man (Jiva) who cannot tolerate injustice and corruption and hence turns into a vigilante for a better society. This superhero also works at night and hence alot of the sequences were filmed at night. Narein plays the antagonist, both Jiva and Narein went to China to train in martial arts. The film is directed by Mysskin and it`s his dream project. According to Dhananjayan from UTV Movies, ``the film is about an ordinary man who becomes extraordinary by bringing out his `super human` skills.

Nanban is comedy drama film directed by S. Shankar featuring an ensemble cast that includes Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and Ileana D`Cruz. The soundtrack and background score is by Harris Jayaraj, working with Shankar for the second time after Anniyan (2005). It is a remake of the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster film 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, which was adapted from the novel Five Point Someone by Chetan Bhagat.

Shiva (Jiiva) is taught by his grandfather (Prakash Raj) to be bold and brave and fight against all odds, especially all that`s evil. One day Shiva gets arrested by the police after fighting with another law student, Guna who is one of Gowri`s gang. He is rescued by Priya (Shriya), who is impressed seeing him fight for the common good. They fall in love. The rest is how Shiva fights the evil that comes his way and keeps up to his grandfather`s expectations till the end.

Ashwin, a photojournalist, supports his friend, Vasanthan, who is contesting in the upcoming elections. However, he is shocked when he realises that Vasanthan has connections with the Naxalites.
