Observe birds at dawn, watch a whole growing season of birds in their different phases and behaviors, and soar like a bird traveling to the different featured conservation areas while bird-like music accompanies us - you'll find these images and more in 'A Birder's Notebook.' Andrea Mason Nolin spent 9 months filming and appreciating birds from her backyard to local conservation areas, visiting Mass Audubon's Visual Art Center, viewing the migration-readying birds on Plum Island with two world-class birders, and then used her artistic and imaginative skills to edit and show birds in a new light, making informative titles (sometimes identifying the bird calls with audio waveform text), and arranging and performing the chamber music, along with her string quartet. —Anonymous You don't want to get up at 5:00 am to watch birds at their best in the spring? You've never heard that Mass Audubon has it's own Visual Art Center with a collection of bird art spanning a whole century? And do you know why they changed to rules to include heard and not seen birds in an official bird count? For these answers and more, A Birder's Notebook is a must-see for bird lovers and the uninitiated alike! You will see a whole season of birds, from the back yard to local conservation areas; take a tour through the vaulted stacks at the Visual Art Center; make an expedition with two world-class birder's to the North Shore of Massachusetts in search of one bird among thousands readying for their migration. Let the sights and sounds of A Birder's Notebook take you on your own journey... —A.M.Nolin
