All their problems are apparently caused by love, too much, too little, love for the wrong people, love for people who don't want it, unrequited love, amnesia-afflicted love and what have you. Each of the 6 stories is moderately developed, the most believable being the Hindu-Muslim couple - the Ashutosh-Tehzeeb story. Then there is the starlet hungry to make it big, hatching up a publicity stunt which backfires - the Kkamini-Rahul deal. The third pair is that of Stephanie-Raju pair, she searching for her faithless Indian boyfriend and he the Indian taxi-driver who ferries her around the country. And then there is the Shiven-Gia yuppie marriage fiasco, with the groom with the cold-feet. The fifth story is of the stable married couple - Vinay-Seema, whose 15 year marriage is threatened when the husband wants more than just boring, suburban life. The sixth couple's story is of Isha-Sohail as a rural couple unable to give vent to their passion. The film runs through these six stories almost in parallel, taking us to their respective conclusions. —Amodini's Movie Reviews

Taxi No. 9 2 11 focuses on Raghav Shastri (Nana Patekar), a cab driver in Mumbai who lies to his wife Sunita (Sonali Kulkarni) about his job (he has lost 23 jobs in 15 yrs because of his bad temper), pretending to be an insurance salesman. Raghav owes 3 months of taxi rent (Rs 30,600) to Tiwari (Shankar Sachdev).. One day, he gives Jai Mittal (John Abraham), the spoiled son of a late businessman, a ride. Jai is fighting for ownership rights of his late father's estate. The cab gets into an accident (Jai paid Raghav a lot of money to drive fast, since he was late for court) with Jai escaping as he's in hurry (and leaves Raghav to deal with the angry mob). Jai loses the key to the vault containing his father's will in the back of Raghav's taxi. Shyam Mittal (Akash Khurana), Jai Mittal's father was sick of Jai's casual attitude towards life. When Shyam died, Jai finds that Shyam left everything to his friend Arjun Bajaj (Shivaji Satam).. Jai had a court case that day and he was heading to the bank vault to fetch the will on his way to the court. His own car was wrecked in an accident the night before and hence he was cabbing it. Jai realizes that he the lost the key, when he gets to the vault. Jai returns to the accident site only to find that the police has arrested Raghav. Jai goes to the police station to demand his key back. Raghav decides to hide it from Jai. Jai is clueless and visits the vault again to get help.. Meanwhile Raghav is being transferred to another station and he encounters his wife on the way. Before she can see him, Raghav escapes from police custody. Jai returns to the station, frustrated, as the vault people wont do anything without the key.. He takes Raghav's address from the Inspector. In retaliation, Jai goes to Raghav's house and tells his wife what he really does for a living. Its 2 pm and Jai is already late for court. Sunita leaves Raghav, taking their son. Raghav decides to take revenge. Raghav and Jai vow to kill each other in their fight for their properties. When Raghav fails to kill Jai (He removes the nuts from Rupali's car tires, which she had lent Jai to try and find the vault key. Jai is stranded on the highway when the wheel comes off and narrowly misses an oncoming truck that plows into Rupali's car) he targets Jai's girlfriend, Rupali (Sameera Reddy). Meanwhile Advocate Shivraj Behl (Nasser Abdullah) and Rupali struggle in court to convince the judge that Jai is on his way. The judge gives a final deadline of 11 30 am the next morning to produce this "other" will according to which Shyam left his property to Jai. Jai and Shivraj conspire to send goons after Raghav to recover the key. But Raghav fights them off. Raghav then chases Rupali, when she leaves Jai's apartment, and she is saved by Jai by hair's breadth. Jai lets Rupali escape and he attacks Raghav. They have a dirty car fight but both survive, but Raghav's cab is destroyed by an oncoming train after its gets stuck at a crossing. Raghav goes to the vault and tricks the staff there to gain access to Jai's vault. He withdraws the will and goes to Jai's place. Jai returns to his apartment at night and discovers the will, torn to pieces and pasted on the wall of his apartment. Jai becomes depressed and lonely after his friends leave him. Rupali dumps him, indicating she wanted him only for his fortune. Jai tries to make a deal with Arjun Bajaj, offering to withdraw the case for half the property. But Arjun refuses as Shyam really wanted Jai to mend himself and make a life without Shyam's wealth. Losing everything that used to be precious, Jai realizes the hard-hitting life and starts respecting his father and his work. On the other side Raghav is caught again by police (when he goes to deposit the fees for his kids school) and taken to police station where his wife tells him his real character and problem within himself. Soon, he realizes his mistake. Jai, having realized the value of close ones, then bails Raghav out of jail. Raghav insists they have a drink and they go to Jai's house for one. They find out that they share the same birthday. Raghav gives back his will, which he had hidden in the sofa, and says that he had never destroyed it - the torn will on the wall is a fake. Raghav then goes to the railway station to stop his wife and son from leaving him, but arrives a little too late. He goes back home where he sees a birthday cake on the table. He feels that he is hallucinating, but gets a pleasant shock when he sees his wife and son standing there, singing him a birthday song (and finds out that it was Jai who brought them back). Jai confronts Arjun Bajaj (Shivaji Satam), the friend and custodian of the property of Jai's father, whom he tells that he has realized the value of life and does not want his father's property and takes a leave. Just as he drives out, his car collides with another car driven by a Woman (Priyanka Chopra), though initially both seem to be angry at each, later Jai apologizes and asks for her number, promising to pay for damages. The movie ends as both smile at each other and drive away; indicating a new romantic beginning.

Two British nationals (who were tiger experts investigating the large scale poaching of tigers in Indian National Parks) are killed by a ferocious tiger in Corbett National Park in India. This incident is followed by several other tiger attacks, and many deaths result, prompting National Geographic to send a correspondent, Krish Thapar (John Abraham) to the national park and ascertain what really happened. Thapar is accompanied by his wife Riya (Esha Deol). Bashir Khan (Parmeet Sethi) is the forest officer suspected of facilitating poaching in all National Parks that he is assigned to. A group of youngsters, consisting of Dev Malhotra (Vivek Oberoi), his girlfriend Ishika (Lara Dutta), Sajid (Kushal Punjabi) and Vishal (Vishal Malhotra), are on a hunting trip in the hopes of sighting and shooting some big prey. The youngsters' car breaks down (After Dev hits a black cat which Ishika considers very very bad luck). Bagga (Vineet Sharma), a passing by driver, gives them a lift to the farmhouse they were heading towards. Bagga convinces the group to head towards the Orbit National Park for some big game hunting. Bagga tells them that venturing into the core area of the jungle is prohibited and is very dangerous. Bagga's car accidentally hits Krish's, which also breaks down and is at the middle of the road. The two groups decide to travel together in Bagga's car, leaving a mechanic repairing Krish's car. Just a few seconds they set off, the mechanic disappears, and they believe a tiger just took him away and decide not to risk their lives to look for him. Bagga finds them a place to stay -- a guesthouse owned by Pandey (Daya Shankar Pandey). Pandey is a guide who agrees to lead them the next day to the core area, where tigers live, for hunting. Pandey disappears the very night and his body is found in the wild the next day by Bashir Khan, with his head chopped off. Krish starts to be suspicious about the real cause of the recent rising deaths in the jungle, as he is an animal expert and recognizes Pandey is not killed by a tiger or any animal. Warned by Bashir Khan and scared, the group decide to leave the jungle. Before they depart, they find Sajid missing, again not by an animal. Dev, close friend to Sajid, assumes the latter is going to the core area alone for hunting. However, the group decide to leave without Sajid. Expectedly, Sajid joins the series of mystery deaths and is found with his head chopped off. The rest are soon confronted by three tigers on the way. Kaali Pratap Singh (Ajay Devgan), who claims to live in the jungle, saves them from the upcoming tiger attack. On their continued way out of the jungle, they find the road is blocked by rocks due to the landslide caused by rain. Kaali shows up again and agrees to lead them out of the jungle. On the way the car has a minor accident when Bagga cant take his foot off the gas pedal. The group is forced to take a break while Bagga repairs the vehicle. Kaali appears to be very knowledgeable about the jungle. Krish, who is now more curious about the mysterious deaths, asks him if he knows what's behind those deaths. Kaali answers that there was a mad guide in this jungle, who always led tourists to wrong places to make them killed by animals (he did this as he didn't like the exploitation of animals and forests by humans and wanted humans to learn a lesson). Angry villagers later found about it and beat him to death. But his spirit -- the ghost -- remains in the jungle and keeps killing tourists. But none of them believe Kaali's story. Bagga later disappears when repairing his car, rising the fear among the rest. Vishal is also killed by their car explosion a few moments later (the group tries to cross a small wooden bridge to get to the other side, but the car gets stuck and leaks gasoline. Vishal acts weird and refuses to get out of the car and is blown away when a stray cigarette that he threw in the water, ignites the fuel). The rest carry on and reach a deserted guesthouse in the evening, outside which there is a well. All go to sleep after being warned by Kaali not to get close to the well. Riya wakes up thirsty in the night. She decides to get water from the well despite Kaali's warning, and is later accidentally hung by her foot in the well and dies. The rest figure out Riya's death and try to pull out her body, while Dev suddenly realizes that Kaali does not have a reflection in well's water. He also sees that Kaali is not visible in any of the videos that had been recorded by Vishal so far. He realizes that the story Kaali told them is true and he is the ghost referred in the story. Dev makes an excuse to push Kaali off and convinces the others that Kaali is a ghost. They decide to escape from Kaali. They encounter several accidents on their way out of the jungle, apparently arranged by Kaali, but finally manage to escape. Krish now knows what's behind those mysterious deaths but he is not going to tell anyone because no one is going to believe him. Meanwhile in the jungle, Kaali keeps killing tourists.

Karan's feelings for Bindiya are more than just of a friend; however, she is unaware of his feelings and falls in love with a sweet boy named Saahil (John Abraham) gradually. The next day, Karan sees the letter and then tears it apart. His friend Rony (Apoorva Agnihotri) humiliates Saahil about falling in love with Bindiya and being so poor. Saahil gets angry and tries to kill himself. However, when Saahil's brother Sanju (Sunil Shetty), who is a car mechanic (Sanju has a lot of respect for Arjun Rana and considers him his idol), finds him unconscious and badly wounded, he cannot control his anger and goes looking for Rony. However, when Sanju gets to the college, he sees Karan sitting down, wearing Rony's jacket with his name on the back, and starts beating him up in public. Karan is hospitalized when Sanju finds out that he has beaten Karan and not Rony. Arjun, a very powerful and wealthy gangster, wants to avenge Sanju for badly beating up his brother. However, Arjun is unaware of Bindiya's feelings for Saahil and Karan's for Bindiya. Bindiya does not have the courage to tell Arjun the truth, but tells him that she is afraid that he will take action without knowing the full truth about what happened and why.. Arjun is the godfather of the slum where Sanju lives. This slum was established by his father Suraj. Arjun begs the slum leaders to hand over Sanju to him, but they refuse. They tells him that Sanju's brother was also injured and they have a responsibility towards him as well. In response the entire slum is set on fire. Saahil is angry at Sanju and says that he could have also beaten up Karan, but didn't because he knew that the outcome would have been the destruction of the slum. Saahil berates Sanju of being selfish and never thinking of the consequences of his actions. Saahil tells Sanju to give up his violent ways. Sanju hands himself to Arjun and tells him that Arjun misused his power to punish the entire slum for the mistake that Sanju made (of beating up Karan instead of Ronny) (Arjun is shocked to know that his men disobeyed his orders and set fire to the slum). Arjun orders that the slum being rebuilt, but wants Sanju to bear the same pain inflicted on Karan. Sanju is beaten up badly by Arjun'a men and thrown back in the slums. Saahil apologizes to Sanju and decides to leave Bindiya. One month later, Saahil starts working in a cafe after leaving college and his education. Bindiya tries to meet Saahil everyday, but he escapes every time, but soon, Bindiya and Saahil fall in love again (Karan approaches Saahil and says that despite taking the hit and not retaliating, everyone only sympathizes with Saahil). Sanju also approves of her fully knowing that Bindiya is Arjun's daughter. Meanwhile, Karan returns from the hospital and decides to meet Arjun and tell him about his love. Arjun is happy to know that Karan is in love and encourages Karan to throw a party and invite his love to it. Bindiya promises Saahil to meet him at 9 am after that party. when Bindiya doesn't show up, Saahil goes to the party venue. That night, Rony challenges Saahil for a fight. Saahil beats up Rony brutally. Saahil finds out that Karan took Bindiya to a different location, all alone. Meanwhile, Karan proposes to Bindiya. Karan calls Arjun and says that Bindiya is his love and she loves him back (he lies). She tells him that she considers Karan as a best friend but loves Saahil. Karan becomes furious. After beating Rony, Saahil finds out the location and takes his gun to kill Karan. Saahil's friend takes Ronny to meet Sanju to tell him what happened and Sanju enters Arjun's bungalow to tell Arjun about Karan's reality. He beats up all his goons. Arjun cannot control his anger and starts beating up Sanju. Rony then comes to Sanju's aid and confirms the truth about Karan to Arjun. Ronny tells Arjun that Bindiya does not love Arjun, she loves Saahil. At the same time Bindiya calls Arjun on his mobile, and Arjun hears first hand how Karan tries to bully Bindiya into marrying her. Karan's love turns to a deadly obsession, and he forces Bindiya to marry him on the spot. He finds out that Bindiya had called Arjun and that he is coming to rescue her. Saahil then reaches there and eventually, a dangerous fight ensues between Saahil and Karan. Karan hits Saahil repeatedly with an iron rod in the face and knocks him unconscious. Arjun comes there to rescue Bindiya and talk to Karan. Karan shoots Sanju's arm, while Saahil regains consciousness. Karan is just about to shoot Bindiya and Saahil, but Bindiya tells Karan that she hates him because of his actions. Arjun shoots Karan with tears in his eyes, whilst the latter dies on the spot. Arjun takes Karan's body to the church and is heartbroken. Saahil, Bindiya and Sanju apologize to and pacify Arjun, saying that he was not wrong but Karan.
