Shirdi Sai Baba is widely accepted as the 6th incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. At a tender age of 16 years Baba arrived at Shirdi. He was found wandering in the outskirts of the village, and was often seen sitting under a Neem tree, eating leaves. After a brief stay there, he disappeared for a long period only to suddenly reappear to a muslim - Chand Patil. Patil was searching for his lost horse and Baba lead him to it. Thrilled, Patil asked him to travel with his entourage for a marriage in his family. The moment he set foot in Shirdi, miracles began occurring and Baba decided to stay at Shirdi. He made a dilapidated mosque his home and his devotees also began increasing. The mosque soon became sacred and Baba named it Dwarakamai where everyone, irrespective of their caste or creed was welcome. Devotees used to bring him food every day but he preferred to beg for alms. When asked why Baba begged for food when he could create anything with his powers, he says by doing this, he was taking away all the sins committed by people. Through this, he also made people realize the importance of `Anna Daanam`.

Madhava Rao (Vizag Prasad) is a big businessman and his competitor Saxena (Satya Prakash) is a crook. When Madhav Rao meets with an accident,his daughter Trisha (Trisha) takes over the company. Raju (Nitin) comes from nowhere to help Trisha. Trisha appoints Raju as general manager. Trisha has an inseparable younger sister called Usha (Rathi). Due to certain circumstances,Raju forces himself to disguise as Balu and Usha falls in love with Balu. As the confusion about mixed identities continue,Munna - another look alike of Raju - comes from Mumbai. Munna is a right hand of Karim Lala (Saurabh Shukla) - a Mumbai underworld don. While on a holiday, Raja meets and falls in love with Rani but breaks off the relationship due to family compulsions. Later, when he has all but given up hope of seeing her again, he gets a surprise. After the passing away of his parents, Raja lives with his uncle Dhananjay. Dhananjay manages a hotel while Raja is a model. Raja meets Rani and both fall in love. Meanwhile, Dhananjay reveals a challenge he made with his in-laws in the past to get Raja married to his daughter. Raja agrees to break up with Rani and marry his uncle's daughter instead. But in his uncle's village, Raja comes across Rani once more with a surprising revelation. —Soumitra Raj Kumar (Mahesh Babu) goes on holiday in Khandala and stays with his uncle Dhananjay (Prakash Raj). He comes across Rani (Preity Zinta) and falls for her. However, he ends up teasing her and she begins to despise him. She is determined to avoid him, but he won't leave her alone. Raj Kumar saves Rani from some thugs, and she is impressed. After spending some time together, she begins to like him and eventually love him. Unfortunately his uncle has made other plans for him. He reveals the past of the hero's parents and his family. He mentions the challenge that he made with his in-laws to get the hero married to his daughter. Complying to this, the hero informs the heroine that their relationship needs to end there. Going with his uncle to the village for his uncle's daughter, to his joy he sees that it's none other than Rani. The rest of the movie revolves around the plot that is woven by him and his uncle to gain the heroine's hand and re-uniting the uncle with his family. This is done in a fun, comical way. —Wikipedia
