Kishori Shahane

Mumbai Apli Ahe is a Marathi movie starring Rakesh Bapat and Kishori Shahane Vij in prominent roles. The movie also stars Ganesh Khade, Minal Patil, Iqbal Khan and Arun Nalawade. It is a drama directed by Bharat Sunanda with Rupesh Gondhali as musician, forming part of the crew.

Dhurandhar and Bhatawdekar are diametrically opposite personalities made to live as roommates in a facility administered by an attractive 55 year old Mrs. Damle. Three levels of romances occur in various age groups. A juvenile love track in the form of Mrs. Damle's daughter and her fiance from college, a middle aged romance of Dr. Patkar and the gym trainer Fiona Gonsalves, and a mature romantic triangle of the two central protagonists with Mrs. Damle. This however transcends into a sort of a Tom and Jerry situation with Dhurandhar and Bhatawdekar pitted against each other in a romantic battle to get the girl. The rest of the cast supports either one in this battle. The film deals with some pertinent issues of senior citizens as well albeit in a very funny manner.

A group of college friends meet at a reunion, where an incident forces an investigation into events and friendships from over 20 years ago.

The story is about two good-hearted samaritans Benny (Kay Kay Menon) and Babloo (Rajpal Yadav) smitten by the glamour of Mumbai. Benny takes up a job of a bell-boy in a suburban five-star hotel whereas Babloo lands up as a waiter in a ladies service bar. Benny considers his job to be far superior to Babloo`s and ends up making fun of him more often that not. Post a hilarious experience of the new jobs to start with, both gradually realize that they were actually in similar professions with two different exteriors, but the same interiors. Benny witnesses innumerable social evils at the five-star hotel, right from drug abuse to political fiascos while Babloo meets the more human side of the otherwise condemned part of the society.

A young girl values money more than love. Shanku, a sober but stubborn orphan, lives with her maternal uncle, a bachelor, in a slum. Her sole dream is to marry a millionaire. According to her, a girl gets only one chance to change her name in life, and that is after her marriage. Shaku's uncle Damodar works as a cook for Mr.Laxmikant Kuber, a renowned industrialist, whose son Naren has just returned from abroad after completing his studies. At a party thrown by Mr. Kuber for his son's homecoming, Naren tells his friends his views on marriage. His only condition is that he will marry a young widow, which Shaku overhears. With the help of Tatya Mazumdar Shaku poses as a young widow Saudamini and enters the Kuber residence. With the help of theatrical antics, she soon wins over the hearts of Mrs. Kuber and Naren who ask her to live in the house. As days go by, Naren falls in love with her and Mr.Kuber asks Saudamini for her late husband's photo. Again with the help of Tatya Mazumdar, Shaku shows him a photo of a military Captain, and tells his name as Capt. Bajirao Rangade. Lukutuke a clerk, who works for Deshmukh is in love with Hema, Mr. Deshmukh's daughter. Mr. Kuber asks for Hema's hand in marriage for Naren. One day when Kuber visits Deshmukh at his office, he bumps into Luktuke, who he recognizes the Capt. in the photo, Bajirao Rangade.
