Vasu, a prankster, whiles away his time teasing girls and getting scolded by his father. But when one of his pranks results in his brother getting jailed, he decides to turn over a new leaf. Vasu belongs to a lower-middle-class family and is irresponsible and untrustworthy. Viji is from a Telugu traditional family and is an ambitious and career-oriented girl. Vasu and Viji meet up and one day, Vasu follows her on her two wheeler. She is so bugged by him that she fails to notice a vehicle ahead. Though he cautions her, she ends up having an accident. Vasu admits her in the hospital, but Viji holds him responsible for her accident. Both of them are at loggerheads and bicker constantly. Vasu leaves for Chennai in order to prove himself to his father, who is constantly criticising his irresponsibility. Meanwhile, Viji gets a job at Chennai and moves into the same apartment complex as Vasu. The rest of the story follows Vasu's progress and deals with relationship between Vasu and Viji and whether or not their attitude for each other changed. Viji falls in love with Vasu but for a reason he acts to hate her is because she made him and his whole family separated. So in the middle, something happens and they both end up loving each other, and Vasu got back together with his family.

Amarkanth Varma, an All India Radio presenter, meets a mysterious woman, Megha, and is immediately drawn to her. When he approaches her, she turns him down, but she soon returns to his life. However, Amar is unaware of her ulterior motives.

Pregnant Reshmi decides not to have the baby after she wins a beauty pageant. But her husband Rohit doesn't agree, so she walks out of the marriage. Now, Rohit must try to win her back. Middle-classed young and dashing Rohit Kumar Saxena falls in love with wealthy and lovely Reshmi, and both decide to get married. Reshmi's dad, the wealthy Diwan Sardarilal is strongly opposed to this marriage, but relents when Reshmi refuses to marry anyone else. As a result, Rohit and Reshmi get married. Shortly after their marriage, Reshmi gets pregnant, news that is very well received. Then Reshmi enters a beauty pageant, and wins it - being crowned Miss India, with offers to travel abroad. Reshmi decides that she does not want the child now, but Rohit opposes this decision. Both quarrel, and separate, and Reshmi goes back to live with her dad. Shortly thereafter, Sardarilal sends a legal notice to Rohit asking for a divorce. Devastated, Rohit seeks employment, and finds it as a station master at a remote hill station. He meets with Reshmi and her dad, and is humiliated because he is poor. He decides to accumulate enough money to win back Reshmi's love, and decides to do it quickly. This decision results in his being arrested for stealing a suitcase full of jewelery and valuables, and he is also charged with killing the owner of the suitcase - a Miss Sonia. Inspector Dinesh goes undercover in order to infiltrate a gang that is counterfeiting banknotes. In the course of his investigation he becomes romantically entangled with a female reporter and makes a discovery of shocking personal significance. —van Goethem Dinesh lives a middle-class lifestyle along with his mother in Bombay. On his 5th birthday his father leaves them never to return. Now Dinesh has grown up, is working for the Criminal Investigations Department and has been assigned to stop the circulation of fake currency notes. His investigations take him to Sunderdas, who gets killed. He then masquerades as Social Worker Abdul Rashid to try and get some information from a jailed convict, Banwarilal, to no avail. Finally, he dons the disguise of wealthy Kunver Vijay Bahadur, rents a suite in Hotel Paris and befriends Manohar and several other gangsters. He gets himself arrested and lodged in the same cell as Banwarilal. From there both men break out and join Manohar and the rest of the gang. After an hospital accident, a wealthy male is compelled to adopt a prostitute's son. Wealthy Thakur Jaswant Singh is thrilled that he is about to finally become a parent, and is pleased when his wife, Rukmani, gives birth to a son. Due to a hospital accident, the identification on his son, as well as the son of a prostitute gets misplaced and the Thakur is compelled to take both sons home. Circumstances compel Rukmani to nurse both of them, while they must also include Ustad Banke Bihari, a male who claims to be the maternal uncle of one of the boys, in their household. When the community blacklists Jaswant, his friend, Thakur Harnam Singh, supports him, and even promises to get his yet unborn daughter married to one of his sons. Harnam's wife passes away after giving birth to Asha, and the duo re-locate to live in Switzerland. 20 years later they return back and re-unite with Jaswant's family - who are still unable to tell the boys, Raja and Ramesh, apart. Then Raja starts showing his true colors, consumes alcohol, gambles, steals, and is arrested by the police.
