The local folks of Manapad town are getting ready to celebrate their biggest festival, Christmas and it is their annual tradition to participate in the procession, which is led by the father of the village's oldest church and seek blessings from him. During the course of the celebration, one of the villagers accidentally discovers an old treasure, which opens a path of destruction and would affect the lives of the villagers. As the events unfold following the discovery of the treasure, the stories of some individuals - Richie, a local thug, Selva, a boat mechanic who is struggling to recover from the loss of his friend, and Megha, a local journalist gets intertwined in this multiple narrative.

It all starts over a century ago when Madhan procures a few pieces of land from innocents using illegal forces. Gowtham, Madhans only son is subject to his fathers wrath and is not in talking terms with him, because he married the one he fell in love with. Years pass by and Madhan returns from abroad to his home town per the wishes of his mother, along with his wife Deeksha and daughter Hiya. Madhan renovates an old bungalow and gifts it to Gowtham, and Kani joins with the family to help Deeksha with her household chores. Deeksha senses a few paranormal activities in the house and shares this to Gowtham but he turns a deaf ear, but as days pass, there are more assuring reasons for both Gowtham and Hiya to believe in the supernatural. To save his wife and daughter, Gowtham brings in Nagulan, a magician-psychic, and per his words, it would only be possible for a Royal Descendant to drive away the supernatural forces. Whether Nagulan succeeds through the process or not falls rest of the story.

`Gouravam` is a bilingual social drama about honor killings which has simultaneously been shot in Tamil and Telugu. The film stars Allu Sirish, Yami Gautam, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Pavitra Lokesh and L.B. Sriram. `Gauravam` also stars two Bollywood actors, namely, Yami Gautam and Prakash Raj. The film has been directed by` Radha Mohan of `Gaganam` fame and produced by Prakash Raj under the banner of Duet Movies. Prakash Raj also has a very significant role in the movie.
