Constantine is battling his own inner demons who have somehow manifested in a physical form. They attack John, who then uses magic to absorb the demons back into his subconscious. A decade after a tragic mistake, family man Chas (Damian O'Hare) meets occult investigator John Constantine (Matt Ryan). Chas asks John to help his daughter Trish, who has unexpectedly fallen into a coma, which Chas suspects to be the result of dark magic. John uses magic on Trish and discovers that her aura is tainted. Renne (Emily O'Brien) is Chas' wife who is now separated. With the help of the mysterious Nightmare Nurse, the influential Queen of Angels, and brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli (Rick D. Wasserman), the pair just might have a chance at outsmarting the demon Beroul (Jim Meskimen) to save Trish's soul. Constantine summons to Nightmare Nurse to diagnose Trish. She tells him that Trish's body is not possessed by any demon. In fact, her essence is not in her body. The Nurse possesses Trish's body to figure out what happened to her. Trish is briefly able to communicate through Asa before a demonic entity takes over. Beroul has kidnapped Trish's soul & is hiding it in a cage inside his own heart. Beroul gives an LA address to Constantine for a rendezvous. In LA Constantine finds 23 cases of a "coma" bug. While Constantine is in LA, Nightmare Nurse stays behind to guard Trish's body. Renee reveals that John and Chas had been best friends since they were kids and even formed a band together as young adults. They played at a nightclub owned by Alex Vogue, who was into the dark arts. When they found out that their mentor Alex Logue was using his daughter Astra to enact a dark spell below his Newcastle night club, John, having practiced occultism since he was a boy, attempted to save Astra by conjuring a real demon. The demon Nergal killed Alex and his followers, but Constantine never put a binding spell around it, so it attacked the nightclub and killed many people and took Astra away to Hell as the price for saving her. His trauma regarding the incident even lead him to be committed to a psychiatric institute, but Renee does not remember sharing this information with Asa. John has a dream of the worldwide whispers again and suspects that someone is messing with his mind. Chas and Constantine reach the address, where Constantine finds Beroul. Beroul tells Constantine that he wants to start a Hell Franchise in LA. The demon explains that his soul-snatching scheme was just a ploy to enlist John's services. Beroul has 5 other demons who are competing against him. He wants Constantine to eliminate the other demons in exchange for Trish. The demon forces John to aid him by showing that he has Trish's soul trapped inside his body. Meanwhile the longer Trish's soul is away from her body, the more difficult it is for Nightmare Nurse to protect her. Beroul also reveals that he is Nergal. In his quest, Constantine is helped many times by a mysterious entity, that never reveals its identity. Eventually she introduces herself as Queen of Angels. She is the collective consciousness of the city of LA, who had been following John ever since he arrived by possessing various people, including the driver that rescued him. Seducing him, she admits that she unleashed his inner demons as a test, and tells him that she will not allow demons of despair to poison a city of hope. Returning to Chas, John admits that he doesn't have the power to defeat Nergal's enemies on his own. He then hatches a plan. For additional firepower Constantine summons brutal Aztec God Mictlantecuhtli (Rick D. Wasserman), who was once very powerful, but now hides in LA, feeding on carcass of the dead animals to regain his power. Constantine offers him 5 demon souls to feast on and leads him to the hiding place of Nergal's competitors. In the fight Mictlantecuhtli wins but is severely injured. Constantine kills him. Constantine then lures the demons to an unconsecrated church by promising to hand over Nergal, traps them inside with holy water, and allows the god and demons to fight each other, then finishes off the victorious god with a spell. Constantine goes back to Nergal to free Trish, only to realize that the Queen was working with Nergal all this while. Queen made a deal with Nergal for him to take a few souls from the city every year in exchange for the city's survival. Constantine hits rock bottom. He makes a plan to lure Nergal out of his lair. Returning to the hospital, John summons Nergal. He attempts a bluff: cutting Nergal off from his wards, harassing him with the inner Constantine demons, and opening all of the gates between Hell and Los Angeles, leaving Nergal with 5000 competitors to face instead of 5. Nergal calls John's bluff, forcing him to use his fallback plan: the Camdever Curse. Constantine makes a connection of Chas with Trish (through Nergal) and the same connection between Renne and Trish via the Nightmare Nurse. He surges their love for Trish into Nergal, which is like cancer to him. Nergal explodes and dies, and Trish's soul is released. Once Nergal is defeated, at a diner, John reveals to Chas that love was the sacrifice that powered the curse: Trish and Renee will never again remember Chas, and, further, Chas will not remember John. Angela appears in the form of an old man, thanks John, and promises to take care of Chas. John heads off to return to London, with one surviving inner demon to keep him company.

It is as detailed as I can get, so if you do plan on watching Resident Evil: Degeneration, DO NOT READ AHEAD Claire Redfield is now a member of TerraSave, an organization which handles search and rescue at chemical and biological attacks. Claire arrives at Harvardville Airport to meet a family she is aiding. A passenger aircraft is approaching the airport to land. As one of the attendants checks the passengers, she notices one man looking unwell. The man in question is clearly in the final stages of t-virus infection, and warns the attendant. Shortly after, he zombifies. Claire is looking after her friend's niece, Rani Chawla, when they see Senator Ron Davis walk by. While a zombie-masked protester is arrested by a police officer, only to be attacked by an actual zombie seconds later. One of Davis' bodyguards shoots the zombie while being attacked by the infected security guard, who was presumed to be dead. The second guard attempts to run but is also devoured. The scene causes panic and people in the vicinity flee, some being attacked by zombies, and the plane crashes into the building, with all of the occupants already transformed into zombies. Claire, Davis and Rani hide in the VIP lounge. At night, the airport has been locked down by the United States Marine Corps and local law enforcement. Survivors are evacuated for treatment, many still locked inside the airport. Two Special Response Team officers, Angela Miller and Greg Glenn are joined by a government agent with experience of such incidents, Leon S. Kennedy. The group enter the building through the roof and begin their search. They manage to find Claire and the survivors. Travelling back to the main terminal, Glenn is bitten by a zombie and stays behind, determined to save the rest by killing the creatures nearby. The survivors shoot their way out, with the marines (who had been vaccinated prior to the lockdown) clearing out the terminal. Claire, upon being told that the WilPharma Corporation, who she was campaigning against, had created a t-virus vaccine, realizes that the vaccine could have saved those who died. Suddenly, the WilPharma trucks containing the vaccine are destroyed. Claire goes with WilPharma worker Frederic Downing to the WilPharma research facility for more vaccine. After a tour of the facility, Claire is shown a molecular-scale image of the G-virus. She is left alone in the room as Downing heads for the sample. Claire calls Leon to update him about WilPharma's possession of the G-virus, and learns that he and Angela Miller discover Curtis Miller's house burnt to the ground. Downing phones Claire to warn her that a man has just left the facility and that a time bomb has been activated. Claire looks out of a window and sees Curtis Miller running through the central gardens with a briefcase. The bomb goes off. Leon and Angela arrive and Leon goes upstairs to Claire while Angela monitors the ground level. While Leon is upstairs, Curtis arrives at the garden. Not having much time left, he tells Angela that the government covered up some of the events in Raccoon City which kept his family from being saved. A squad of marines storm the room. Curtis, having injected the G-virus, mutates. The marines fire at him, and Curtis starts killing them. Leon saves Angela from the massacre as the garden begins to fall apart, with wreckage crushing Curtis. Believing him to be dead, the surviving marines head up the elevator to safety, Leon and Angela choosing to stay downstairs and wait for the elevator to come back down. Curtis gets out of the wreckage and mutates further, climbing up the building and killing the marines by destroying the elevator. The building is then set on fire by the WilPharma computer system in an attempt to avoid the t- and G-Virus' spreading. Angela and Leon jump into a pool of water to avoid burning wreckage. After having shot a glass partition to avoid drowning, the two then find themselves in an underground area. Meanwhile, Claire makes it to the command center, doing whatever she can to halt a biohazard alarm and open the building. She fails and the detection of Curtis in the underground center causes another alarm. This time, parts of the building will be ejected underground. As Leon and Angela search for an escape route, Curtis attacks them, seeing Leon as a threat and Angela as a mate. Eventually, Curtis manages to regain control, telling Angela to run. As the sections are being ejected, Leon and Angela climb up wreckage. Almost free from the drop, Curtis grabs hold of Angela. About to fall, Leon shoots Curtis in the face, causing him to fall to his death. Leon, Angela and Claire exit the building where Claire accuses Senator Davis of the cover up and the Harvardville Airport incident. Leon reveals that Davis did not know anything, and Claire realizes that the real villain was actually Downing, who caused the outbreak in the airport, the disaster on the plane, the destruction of the vaccine, the detonation of the bomb at the reasearch building and the bio-terrorism incidents by selling t-virus samples. Waiting for a contact to sell WilPharma information to, Downing mistakes a car containing Leon and Claire for his contact. He is arrested by Angela. The next day Leon and Claire meet with a despondent Angela. Leon reveals that Downing confessed to everything, which was designed as a sales pitch for the virus to General Grandé. He reveals that he was an Umbrella researcher and stole samples of both viruses and escaped immediately prior to the Raccoon City incident before erasing his history and creating a new identity with which to apply to WilPharma. Once there, he was able to sell the virus to a list of potential customers while researching the vaccine. Leon and Claire say goodbye and leave. Meanwhile, news gets out that Davis has resigned from office over allegations of insider stock trading with WilPharma stocks. A newspaper draped over Davis' face reads "Tricell Offers to Purchase WilPharma". Davis' hand falls from the desk revealing him to be dead, and on his computer WilPharma files are being deleted, which when completed reveal a Tricell insignia on his screen. The film ends with Tricell employees in hazmat suits searching the underground ruins of the WilPharma research building, where they discover a fragment of Curtis's body infected with the G-virus, which they seal in a bio-hazard container.
