Conservative young lawyer Paul Bratter marries the vivacious Corie Banks. Their highly passionate relationship descends into discord when they rent their first apartment - a rundown five-flight NYC walk-up with eccentric neighbors. New Yorkers Paul Bratter and Corie Bratter née Banks have just gotten married. He is a stuffed shirt just starting his career as a lawyer. She is an independent-minded free spirit who prides herself on doing the illogical purely out of a sense of adventure, such acts as walking through Washington Square Park barefoot when it's 17°F outside. Their 6-day honeymoon at the Plaza Hotel shows that they can get to know each other easily in the biblical sense. But they will see if they can get to know each other in their real life when they move into their first apartment, a cozy (in other words, small), slightly-broken-down top-floor unit in a five-story walk-up. While Corie joyfully bounds up and down the stairs, Paul, always winded after a long day, hates needing to walk up the six flights (including the stairs that comprise the outside front stoop. Beyond the issues with the apartment itself, Paul and Corie must deal with an odd assortment of neighbors, most specifically eccentric senior Victor Velasco, who lives in the unusual attic and considers himself a dirty old man. Corie, worried about her single strait-laced mother Ethel Banks, wants to set her up with Victor. Without Corie or Paul truly realizing it, Ethel and Victor as a twosome is as illogical as Corie and Paul. U.S. Marshal Bovard comes to a small border town to identify and arrest a fugitive, but the whole town seems determined to prevent the Marshal from doing his job. A marshal nicknamed "The Hangman" because of his track record in hunting down and capturing wanted criminals traces a robbery suspect to a small town. However, the man is known and liked in the town, and the citizens band together to try to help him avoid capture. —Anonymous

During the 1950s, a military panel grills Junior Officer John Paul Steckler to find the whereabouts of a Navy destroyer that he temporarily commanded during WWII and is missing. John Paul Steckler was the Junior Officer aboard a destroyer when WWII ended. He gets stuck with the job of sailing the ship to the states to be decommissioned. Now years latter, no one knows where the ship is. He has a choice. Find the ship, or pay for it, Now! Now a Congressman Mandeville, who wants to turn them down, thinks he has the means--one of their vessels, a destroyer escort is unaccounted for. Now the last man who was in command of it, is John Paul Steckler VII, who comes from a long line who naval goof-ups. So Admiral Bludde sends for him and when he is brought before them, he is told that unless he can tell them where the vessel is, he stands to face charges. It seems that after the war, he was placed in command, cause he was lowest ranking officer, and after getting caught by Japanese soldiers, who were unaware that the war was over, and being mistakenly believed to be dead, his crew left him, and when he returned he sign the ship out. TV's great comedy duo, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, star in this madcap comedy about a research chemist whose dedicated pursuit of a new pesticide wreaks havoc on his marriage. Susan and Lorenzo have been married for over five years and they are starting to drift apart. So into her life comes an angel which only she can see, to tell her that trouble is ahead if they don't work out their problems. Lorenzo is developing insecticide #383 at Finlay Vega Chemical Co. and plans to test it on a camping trip that he takes with Susan, but the trip becomes an obstacle course for him. —Tony Fontana <tony.fontana@spacebbs.com> Five years in, the bloom has come off the marriage of scientist Larry Vega and wealthy socialite Susan Vega née Bewell, because of their differences, that are heightened, and the problems in their marriage exacerbated, by her closest friends. Larry doesn't like Susan's friends because they're always trying to get her--and him by association--to live beyond what they can afford on his income. Their differences are further heightened when Larry, who owns and operates a chemical company with his friend BIll Finlay, plans to do field work for two years, going to the remotest parts of the globe to test a new insecticide he has developed and wants Susan to accompany him. Susan begins to see a vision of a man; initially she believes he's an intruder, but she comes to believe--and ultimately realize--that hie is her Guardian Angel. Beyond the seeming incredulity of such a story and thus the belief by others that she could be crazy, Susan does not want to divulge her vision, least of all to Larry, in the Guardian Angel's resemblance to her favorite actor, handsome James Mason. Indeed, the Guardian Angel has arrived in her psyche at this juncture to help her deal with her and Larry's crumbling marriage. But the Guardian Angel's resemblance to Mason could cause, rather than resolve, more complications in Susan and Larry's relationship. —Huggo
