Vishwa then secretly sneaks into her house and he starts to woo her when she is alone at home. One day, Vishwa approaches Kamala and asks her approval, she refuses to accept his love and Kamala tells him that she is already married to Adhisaya Raj. In the past, Kamala was a bharatanatyam dancer who lived her widower father (Manikka Vinayagam) and she was constantly stalked by young men. Sick of the situation, one day, she complained to the police and the police inspector Adhisaya Raj took severe action against the stalkers. Adhisaya Raj who felt under her spell of Kamala compelled her to marry him but she refused. Adhisaya Raj became very aggressive and possessive towards her. One day, Adhisaya Raj forcefully took her with him and forced her to live with him in his house. Every day, he tortured her to marry him and he sequestered her father in a godown. Upon hearing the truth, Vishwa decides to free her from the virtual prison. Kamala asks him to kill Adhisaya Raj and to find her father. When Vishwa finally sees Adhisaya Raj's photo, Vishwa refuses to kill him and tells her that Adhisaya Raj has saved his life after a bike accident one day. Thereafter, Adhisaya Raj finds about Kamala and Vishwa's love and he puts the innocent Vishwa behind the police lockup. Later, Vishwa gets released from jail and he frees Kamala from his house. Vishwa and Kamala blackmail Adhisaya Raj by phone: Vishwa agreed to set her free if Kamala's father will sign a document paper. Vishwa with his lover Kamala and Adhisaya Raj with Kamala's father meet up in a remote place for the exchange. Adhisaya Raj cheats them and his henchmen surrounded Vishwa. They beat up Vishwa, put him in a coffin and bury him alive. An angry Vishwa came back to the house and beats Adhisaya Raj up. During the fight, Vignesh who was Vishwa's college enemy shoots Adhisaya Raj dead to save Vishwa. The film ends as Vishwa and Kamala embrace.

Arumugam lands in the city to protest to a minister about water pollution in his village. Here, he gets involved in a battle against corrupt politicians and rowdies, who leave him practically dead. Arumugham (Vikram) is an uneducated, good hearted, helpful village hick. Easwari (Jyothika) is his childhood friend. A chemical factory in the village pollutes the local river and when all attempts to stop the factory waste from going to the drinking water falls flat, the villagers decide to send Arumugham to Chennai and meet the concerned minister who has won from their constituency. He sets out for the city with Easwari and her grandmother and they stay with Arumugham's friend (Vivek) and gang. Swapna (Reema Sen) is a model who stays in the same area and she lusts after Arumugham. They meet the Minister (Sayaji Shinde) who is extremely nice to them and promises to help them. Soon Arumugham is forced by circumstances to fight against an anti-social gang with a lady boss. An honest police officer (Manoj.K.Jayan) tries to collect evidence against the criminal gang. When Arumugham realizes that the bad guys are the henchmen of the same Minister who is behind all the crimes, ! —RC

Sriram (Bala) is the only son of Manivannan and Meera Krishnan who is very fond of his parents. The family is settled in Malaysia and Sriram studies in a college. Indu (Charmy Kaur) is the daughter of a rich businessman Karunakaran (Kalabhavan Mani) and she is Sriram's classmate. Karunakaran is short tempered and never trusts his own daughter. He always fears that Indu would fall in love with someone which makes him to behave strict towards her always. One day, Indu's classmates plan to throw a surprise birthday party to her. But Karunakaran arrives during the time of party which shocks Indu. Also, one of her classmate foul plays by sending a gift in the name of Sriram to Indu which is seen by Karunakaran. Now Karunakaran doubts that Indu is in love with Sriram but Indu refuses that which Karunakaran does not believe. Karunakaran plans to get Indu married to a rich guy. But Indu gets to know that the groom is a murderer and shows no interest in wedding proposal which further angers Karunakaran. A few other incidents happen by coincidence which make Karunakaran believe that Indu and Sriram are in love. Karunakaran threatens Sriram's father Manivannan asking him to control his son. When Manivannan enquires about this, Sriram promises that he does not love anyone and he would marry only the girl selected by his parents. But Karunakaran's doubts still persist and he beats Maniannan's shop one day. Manivannan gets frightened and requests Sriram to leave the town for a few days so that Karunakaran does not harm Sriram. Sriram agrees and decides to move to a nearby town. To his surprise, Indu also boards the same bus in which Sriram is travelling. Indu has decided to run away from her home as she could not bear her father's torture. Now Karunakaran again misunderstands that Sriram and Indu have eloped together and chases them. Sriram and Indu get down from the bus to safeguard their lives and run towards to a forest. They stay for a few days in the forest as they didn't know the way to get out from there. Finally Sriram and Indu manage to return. In the meantime, Karunakaran has lodged a complaint that Indu was kidnapped by Sriram. The couple reach the court and reveals that no one was kidnapped and they also make it clear that they are not in love and all the happenings are mere coincidence. Finally Karunakaran realizes his mistake and understands the Sriram's good intention of only marrying a girl selected by his parents and also feels bad about his rude behaviour towards his daughter. He also expresses interest to get Indu married to Sriram as he will not be able to find a better match than him. The movie ends with both Indu and Sriram getting united.
