Drishyam 3
Georgekutty, a man still carrying the physical weight of buried guilt, fights to marry off his traumatized daughter Anju while former enemies close a new trap around his family using forged psychiatric profiles and staged death. Georgekutty continues running his business while carrying immense psychological strain, trying to secure a marriage proposal for his traumatized elder daughter, Anju. The family's fragile stability fractures when a grieving Prabhakar coordinates with Inspector General Thomas Bastin to reopen the old case, enlisting the unhinged, suspended constable Sahadevan to tail them. Prabhakar and Bastin launch a vicious trap, using a vulnerable businessman to compromise Anju and frame her for a staged murder. When the operation goes chaotic and Sahadevan unexpectly injures Anju, Georgekutty discovers the plot, hunts down the conspirators, and orchestrates a calculated surrender to exploit the police's own corruption. Four and a half years after the events of the previous investigation, Georgekutty (Mohanlal) continues managing his business and maintaining a structured daily routine while carrying persistent psychological strain and guilt linked to the crimes committed to protect his family. Rani (Meena) remains at home supporting the household stability, while Anju (Ansiba Hassan) and Anu (Esther Anil) attempt to rebuild normalcy in their lives under the lingering weight of past trauma. Georgekutty, seeking to establish a future for his elder daughter, engages marriage broker Mathayi to arrange suitable proposals for Anju, initiating a series of formal introductions that repeatedly fail as each potential alliance is disrupted by unexplained interference that halts progress without clear attribution. During this period, Georgekutty encounters Jose (Ajith Koothattukulam) and Mary (Krishna Prabha), former neighbors who approach him seeking forgiveness for their prior betrayal during the investigation. Georgekutty reassures Jose, contextualizing his earlier actions during interrogation as understandable under pressure, and provides him financial assistance to begin a new business. Jose is gradually integrated into Georgekutty's routine, becoming a regular presence and informal confidant within his daily environment. Stability begins to fracture when Rani observes an unknown individual near the plantation property. Upon inspection, Georgekutty discovers a freshly dug pit that has been refilled, indicating recent covert activity on the land. From a concealed distance, Sahadevan (Dinesh Prabhakar), a suspended former police constable who has fallen into financial and psychological decline, monitors the site. He has resumed investigative activity with the assistance of his daughter Yamini Sahadevan (Veena Nandakumar), a journalist, focusing again on building a case against Georgekutty. At the same time, Prabhakar (Siddique) approaches Inspector General Thomas Bastin (Murali Gopy) with the news that Geetha Prabhakar (Asha Sharath), living in the United States, has died following severe depression that developed after the funeral of their son Varun Prabhakar (Roshan Basheer). Consumed by resentment over Georgekutty remaining free, Prabhakar finances Sahadevan's renewed investigation and coordinates with Bastin to reopen the case. He also exerts coercion on a financially vulnerable UAE based businessman named Avira, forcing him into a marriage proposal arrangement directed toward Anju. Prabhakar and Bastin construct a plan intended to implicate Anju in Avira's death by staging a controlled crisis in which she is drugged and positioned to be framed for murder. As part of this strategy, they fabricate psychiatric documentation claiming Anju suffers from Sexual Aversion Syndrome, using it to support a narrative of violent reaction and instability in legal proceedings. The operation is intended to create a direct evidentiary parallel to prior events involving Varun. The plan begins to unravel when Sahadevan alters the timing of the operation. At the designated site, Anju unexpectedly regains consciousness from the drug induced state, triggering confusion among the participants. In the ensuing chaos, Sahadevan strikes and injures Anju before fleeing the location together with Avira. Georgekutty arrives shortly after the incident, examines the disturbed site and the altered ground conditions, and determines that the pit on the plantation had been prepared to conceal Avira's body and frame his family for the crime. Georgekutty contacts his brother in law Rajesh to mobilize local support, effectively preventing police interference with the site and blocking attempts to introduce falsified evidence. Working with Jose, he traces Sahadevan to an isolated location where Sahadevan is physically assaulted with a sharp dagger and compelled to record a full vocal confession detailing the conspiracy involving Prabhakar and Bastin. With the confession secured, Georgekutty contacts Advocate Renuka (Santhi Mayadevi) and proceeds to the police station to surrender, conditioning his cooperation on legal protection and security for his family. During subsequent review, Renuka uncovers that Georgekutty himself inflicted the injuries on Anju prior to police arrival, deliberately framing Sahadevan to compromise the prosecution and shield his daughter from potential murder charges. The public announcement of Georgekutty's surrender is broadcast widely, reaching Geetha in the United States, who reacts with dissatisfaction and demands that Anju also face legal consequences. Prabhakar watches the broadcast in a state of distress as the case escalates into renewed public scrutiny and unresolved confrontation.
