Meenakshi Dixit

Rishi, a millionaire businessman, returns to his homeland, where he becomes the champion of poor and downtrodden farmers. Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, Maharshi features Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde in central roles.

The film is about Shankar, a Haryanvi gangster who runs an illegal blood bank, but is like a messiah for the poor and needy. Another ambitious youngster joins Shankar in the business as he wants to impress a girl with some quick money. But things turn ugly once Shankar decides to go his own way.

Alexander Varma (Mohanlal) is an intelligent man but fate sends him to prison. After the untimely death of a Dubai based businessman, Prathapa Varma, his kin start fighting over his property. It is during this time that Alexander is released from prison. Somehow Alexander is pulled into the squabble, rendering a surprise twist to the story.
