After discovering that her boyfriend is cheating on her with a famous TV reporter, a woman returns to her family home to find herself. But when Bea thinks that things can't worsen after knowing that Víctor and Rebecca are an official couple, life surprises her much more: Débora confesses that Lucas has been diagnosed with dwarfism and reveals that he isn't her husband Juan's son but the result of a one-night stand with Teodoro, a dwarf hired for her stag-party; Bea's project to make a treehouse with the family ends when Diego, owner of the town's sawmill, claims that her family lands were sold to him by her long-dead father; and finally Ángela reveals in a family lunch that she has a terminal disease and will die in one year, shocking everybody, especially Irene. Frustrated and desperate, Bea finds a second chance when Diego asks to create another tree-house for his little daughter Diana, who has been mute since her mother's death in a car crash two years before. Reluctant because she and Diego had been in a failed relationship in the past, she finally accepts the job. Inspector Amaia Salazar returns to the Baztán's valley for a new case, and this time even her loved ones won't be safe. Pamplona (autonomous community of Navarra's capital; north to Spain). One year after Basajaun's crimes, nine-months pregnant Inspector Amaia Salazar is on the city court waiting for the trial of Jason Medina, who is accused to raping, mutilating, and murdering her stepdaughter Márquez. But just before the trial, Medina is found in the court's bathroom, dead from suicide, his wrists cut, and a note in his jeans pocket: "Tarttalo." Just then Amaia's water breaks and she gives birth to her son Ibai, and she and her sculptor and gallery-artist husband James Westford celebrate. Reinstated to active service four months later, Amaia is called by her superior to give two different cases: Monseñor Landero and Padre Sarasola requested Amaia specifically to investigate with secrecy the profanation of a little church where a baby's amputated arm was found on the altar; and a man incarcerated in Logroño (autonomous community of La Rioja's capital) by his wife's killing has sent her a note revealing where is his wife's corpse with "Tarttalo" in the message, committing suicide after giving the note to a prison guard. Finding the corpse in Elizondo's surroundings, Amaia takes Ibai back to her birth town where she meets again with tarot-card-caster Aunt Engrasi, and her older sisters Flora and Rosaura, who are happy to meet their new nephew, Discovering that the two women killed were amputated of their right arm after the crime, it matches with the church's profanation, after to learn that all arms were cut with the same pattern and weapon. Finding that it's related to the Agotes, a tribe pursued in the Middle Ages by the Spanish Inquisition for their pagan beliefs and rites, and that Tarttalo is the name of an ancient mythical Christian-eating giant, Amaia asks help by video-conference to her former mentor and FBI's agent Aloisius Dupree, at the same time Aunt Engrasi uses tarot to predict what could happen and judge Javier Markina follows with the investigation attentively. This causes a coolness in James and Amaia's relationship although he had moved to Elizondo to be closer to his wife and son. But the case takes a dramatic turn: an amputated baby's arm is revealed to be Amaia's twin sister she never knew existed, and Amaia's mother Rosario, secluded in a mental hospital ever since she tried to kill Amaia at birth, has killed a male nurse, writing "Tarttalo" in blood under the bed, causing re-apparition of the enigmatic psychiatrist Padre Saralosa, interested in Rosario and convincing Amaia to move Rosario to the university hospital he heads. Forced to look into her family's past, Amaia will not only discover the relationship between her mother and a sect dedicated to a pagan cult that performed human sacrifices, abut also that all of the crimes have a much too personal connection to her. While Elizondo is in danger of an incoming flood, Amaia must solve the case and identify the killer before any of her dearest loved ones becomes the next victim. —Chockys

In 1989, during the fall of the Berlin Wall and a 72-hour-long electrical storm, a boy named Nico, while recording a video in his house, hears some noises and sees a fight scene in his neighbors' house through a window. He goes to the house only to find the body of Ms. Weiss, the wife of the neighbor Angel Prieto. Seeing Mr. Prieto with a knife, Nico tries to escape and is accidentally hit by a car on the road. Prieto is arrested with the murder weapon in hand as Nico dies in the car accident. In 2014, a married couple, Vera Roy and David Ortiz, move to Nico's house along with their daughter Gloria. They find an old TV set in a storeroom along with a video recorder and cassettes. An electrical storm similar to the one in 1989 begins, and after Vera, David, and Gloria watch Nico's video, the TV starts broadcasting the live news that was taking place when Nico was making his video. During dinner, they share this incident with their neighbor Aitor and his mother Clara, and Vera and David learn how Nico was killed. At night, Vera sees the boy on the TV and is shocked to find that she can interact with him. She initially gets scared but then tries to warn Nico not to go out on the road so he will not get hit. Next morning, Vera wakes up to a new reality where no one is aware of the above incidents other than her. David is married to someone else. Gloria was never born. She is disturbed and then starts to think that, if she can interact with Nico once again, then she will be able to correct what she has done. She visits the police and tells them the entire story, which is difficult for anyone to believe. Inspector Leyra tries to help her out, but he needs some proof in order to trust her. They visit an author of the book which mentioned Nico communicating with a woman from the future via the television. They learn that during the current storm, they can communicate with Nico and try to change things. As proof, Vera tells the inspector to dig and look for the body of Ms. Weiss beneath her husband's slaughterhouse. They do so and find a human skeleton in a suitcase. The police arrest Prieto, who is now living with Victor and Clara. During the interrogation, it is also revealed that Angel Prieto and Clara were having an affair and they were caught by Ms. Weiss, which led to a fight in which Clara accidentally stabbed Weiss. Inspector Leyra helps Vera by giving her some credit card information about Nico and an address. When she visits this address, she is shocked to find David cheating on his wife with a nurse whom he met during his surgery. Vera blackmails David, who is a bank employee, to get information about Nico. She is surprised to learn that Inspector Leyra is Nico Lasarte, who is in a relationship with her in this reality. Leyra tells her how he had waited for her for years and, in doing so, had unknowingly prevented from meeting David and Aitor. Vera asks Leyra to correct the events using the TV set and video recorder. Vera then commits suicide so that Leyra will have to save her. Leyra uses the TV and recorder to communicate with his childhood self. Vera then wakes up to an earlier version of reality where David is her husband and Gloria is her daughter. She finds out that David is still cheating on her. She calls the police to report a body beneath the slaughterhouse where she meets Inspector Leyra, hoping to start a new relationship with him along with her daughter.

In 1921 a tough cop is sent from Madrid to Barcelona to locate stolen military weaponry. In the hard, convulsive times of 1921 Spain, Aníbal Uriarte, a veteran soldier of the Morocco War converted into a cop, is sent by his superior from Spain's capital Madrid to Barcelona (Catalonia, northeast of Spain) to locate an important amount of military weaponry stolen from a train, apparently by revolutionary anarchists. On his arrival in the city Uriarte meets Inspector Rediú, a corrupt officer, and cops, including violent Tísico, young Beltrán, and El Barón, owner of the famous cabaret Edén where he exploits his dancers, filming adult movies (involving minors and lesbians) only for the eyes of high society. At the same time Salvador Ortiz is the leader of a peaceful riot in an important company of the city, in the fight for workers' rights, while Salvador's daughter, telephone operator Sara, leads her own revolution to defend women's rights. Learning quickly to move in a sea of conspiracy, corruption and treachery, Uriarte makes a deal with El Barón, bypassing Rediú, to work for him as an informer. A bit later he saves Salvador from death during a police assault on the factory property of García Serrano, a rich businessman who is contacted by El Barón in hope that Serrano will use his influence to get him admitted to El Liceo, the most important club in the city, reserved for the richest and most privileged. Therefore, the situation worsens after León, a young worker determined to take arms and lead a bloody revolution in opposition to Salvador's peaceful ways, and Tísico's suspects about Uriarte believing him as a danger for Rediú's illegal business. With time running out and General Martínez Anido wanting to make a military invasion in Barcelona to kill the anarchists, Uriarte's only hope to prevent a massacre and a possible coup d'etat in Spain is locate the weapons stolen and expose Rediú's corruption as well as El Barón, contacting Salvador and Sara looking for help. Herbalist Jan Mikolase dedicated his life to caring for the sick despite the immense obstacles he faced in his private and public life. Born at the turn of the 20th century, Mikolasek wins fame and fortune using unorthodox plant-based treatment methods to cure a wide range of diseases. Already a local institution in Czechoslovakia before World War II, the healer gains in reputation and wealth both during the Nazi occupation and under Communist rule. One after the other, each regime wants to use his skills and in return give him protection. But how high shall the costs be to maintain this status as the tide turns. The Czech Republic in the 1950s. Long queues form every day outside the villa of the famous faith healer Jan Mikolásek (Ivan Trojan) in Jenstejn. People who want to be treated by him have to bring a clear bottle of their urine. Mrs Mühlbacherová (Jaroslava Pokorná), a healer from his home village, had taught young Jan (Josef Trojan) how to judge urine by its color and turbidity and what herbal treatment can be derived from it. With the help of a lamp, the healer examines each vial, dictates the diagnoses and a special treatment plan for each patient to his assistant Frantisek Palko (Juraj Loj). He even gives some of them money for a holiday by the sea or in the mountains. Even now, when a new political wind is blowing in the country, he has no intention of retiring. But the newspapers, which are subject to communist censorship, vilify him as a charlatan. One night, Mikolásek and Palko are arrested. He is accused of poisoning Comrade Strohal, a long-serving member of the Communist Party. In truth, those in power are suspicious of his extravagant lifestyle and his homosexual relationship with his assistant. When it turns out that there never was a patient Strohal, the defendants gain hope. —ARD

A female inspector confronts a serial killer while dealing with the ghosts of her past. Her marriage to James Westford, an American sculptor and artist gallery, is falling apart due to her desire for a child, and despite she never wanted back to her family home, Amaia Salazar is forced to face the past and reconnect with her lovely and tarot's card caster Aunt Engrasi, and too with her older sisters Flora and Rosaura. Helped by Engrasi and her tarot's readings as well as Amaia's former mentor and FBI's agent Aloisius Dupree by video-conference looking for new clues and other point of view to find the killer, Amaia's instinct for criminal cases will be challenged according to more naked bodies of teenage girls are found in the forest, where an ancient myth says that it's protected by a giant supernatural creature named Basajaun, at the same time that she's stalked by her child memories.
