When a recently discharged Marine struggles to adjust to civilian life, his commanding officer brings him back to the military to train and lead a group of misfit JORTC cadets. Major Benson Winifred Payne is being discharged from the Marines. Payne is a killin' machine, but the wars of the world are no longer fought on the battlefield. A career Marine, he has no idea what to do as a civilian, so his commander finds him a job - commanding officer of a local school's JROTC program, a bunch or ragtag losers with no hope. Using such teaching tools as live grenades and real bullets, Payne starts to instill the Corps with some hope. A teenage girl struggles to balance the trials of high school, the discipline of martial arts, and the thrill of her first romance.

Whalers patrol the Pacific Northwest coast in search of a pod of orc-as. After being taken from his family, one of the orc-as is sold to the Northwest Adventure Park. A few months later, in Portland, Jesse, an orphan who was left behind by his mother six years ago, fled Cooperton with other orphans and spent three days stealing food and begging for money on the streets. Later that evening, he and Perry break into the adventure park's observation area to avoid pursuing police. Before being apprehended by the authorities, Jesse encounters the or ca while writing graffiti on the walls and its water tank. Dwight tells him that Glen and Annie Greenwood, his new foster parents, would be delighted to adopt him. Reluctantly moving to Astoria to live with them, Jesse longs to be with his mother again. Jesse is permitted to clean and repaint the observation area to make up for his vandalism in order to avoid being sent to juvenile hall if he runs away again. He develops a relationship with the or ca, Willy, after he enjoys Jesse's harmonica playing. Jesse slips out of the house to visit Willy as his probation is coming to an end and his job is about to expire, and he ends up in the tank. Willy saves him and pulls him to the surface just in time to prevent him from drowning. After noticing that Jesse is the only human that Willy, who is typically ill-tempered, responds to, Randolph Johnson, Willy's Haida caregiver, and Rae Lindley, his trainer/veterinarian, offer Jesse a summer job. Additionally, he begins to get to know the Greenwoods. Dial, the park owner, recognizes Jesse and Willy's talent and hopes to finally profit from the or ca, which has been an expensive endeavor for him up to this point. But because he feels agitated, he declines to perform on opening day. Despite the pressure from onlookers, Jesse is unable to get him to perform tricks, so he storms off with tears in his eyes and makes plans to find his mother. Willy has had enough of the kids' incessant banging and lets loose with his stress-induced rage. Sneaking out to say goodbye to Willy, Jesse stops by the tank. Willy's calling is answered once more before he leaves. Following the replies, Jesse discovers that Willy is speaking to his pod. When park manager Wade and a few coworkers enter the observation area covertly and purposefully damage the location where Willy broke the tank so that the water will leak out, the discovery is halted. Jesse is informed by Randolph that Dial intends to murder Willy in order to obtain the million-dollar insurance. Randolph and Rae join Jesse in his scheme to get him back into the ocean. Using a forklift, they move Willy from the tank to Glen's pickup truck, which Jesse and Randolph took. When Wade tells Dial about Willy, he starts looking. Jesse calls Glen and Annie for assistance using the truck's CB radio after it becomes stuck in the mud. They both show up, and although Glen is hesitant to help, he gives in after Jesse begs him. Glen takes the truck to Dawson's Marina, where Dial, Wade, and their men have gathered at the gates to stop them, after making a quick stop at a car wash to get Willy even wetter. Willy is backed into the water when Glen's truck crashes through the gate. Two of Dial's whaling ships close off the marina, but Willy swims away after a battle with Dial's men and Wade. Willy is urged to follow Jesse as he dashes toward the breakwater and leaps over. Jesse signals Willy to jump on the breakwater after reciting a Haida prayer that Randolph had taught him through the Natsilane story. While Wade and Dial look on in dismay, Willy jumps over and lands in the ocean on the other side, free to go back to his pod. As Willy calls out to him in the distance, Jesse thanks Glen and Annie and gives them hugs.

When a man goes in to have virtual vacation memories of the planet Mars implanted in his mind, an unexpected and harrowing series of events forces him to go to the planet for real - or is he? Douglas Quaid is haunted by a recurring dream about a journey to Mars. He hopes to find out more about this dream and buys a holiday at Rekall Inc. where they sell implanted memories. But something goes wrong with the memory implantation and he remembers being a secret agent fighting against the evil Mars administrator Cohaagen. Plagued by vivid visions of colonised Mars, construction worker Douglas Quaid longs for a trip to the distant red planet. To decipher his recurring nightmares, Quaid purchases a cheaper alternative to the expensive journey: virtual recollections of an imaginary vacation to Mars, provided by Rekall Inc., a company implanting memories. Instead, the procedure backfires on him, and what Quaid used to perceive as reality becomes a blur. And as the bullets start flying, the answers Quaid seeks are on Mars. However, how can he tell the difference between reality and fantasy? Is Quaid prepared for a total recall? —Nick Riganas What is reality when you can't trust your memory? An Earthbound construction worker keeps having dreams about Mars. A trip to a false memory transplant service for an imaginary trip to Mars goes terribly wrong and another personality surfaces. When his old self returns, he finds groups of his friends and several strangers seem to have orders to kill him. He finds records his other self left him that tell him to get to Mars to join up with the underground. The reality of the situation is constantly in question. Who is he? Which personality is correct? A Texas Ranger and a ruthless narcotics kingpin - they were childhood friends, now they are adversaries. When they were kids Texas Ranger Jack Benteen used to be best friends with drug kingpin Cash Bailey. At present, however, the only element linking them together is Jack's girlfriend Sarita, who used to be with Cash. She returns to Cash as a voluntary hostage to make certain that Jack keeps his hands off the drug lord's operation. On top of that, there is a meticulously planned drug bust, in which both Jack and Cash butt heads with CIA-funded paramilitary Maj. Paul Hackett, following his own agenda. —Anonymous

Set in the early 22nd century, the film opens with the destruction of a space cruise liner by a bolt of nebular lightning. The only apparent survivors are three beautiful women - Nova, Reena, and Meagan - who get away in an escape pod and land on the nearest habitable planet. There, they are quickly accosted by the hostile natives and taken aboard a sail-driven vehicle resembling a pirate ship on rails. In space, an alert goes out for the safe return of the women with a reward of 3,000 "mega-credits". A small-time salvage operator named Wolff intercepts the message and heads to the planet. Joining him is his female engineer Chalmers, who learns the planet - called Terra XI - is a failed colony that fell victim to a deadly plague and civil warfare. Wolff risks the dangers believing the reward will solve his debt problems. After landing on the barren world, Wolff and Chalmers set out in a 4-wheel drive vehicle called the "Scrambler". Soon, they join a battle in progress between a group of marauders (called the "Zoners") and a band of nomads (the "Scavs"). The Zoners take the women before Wolff can stop them and fly away on jet-powered hang-gliders. Wolff learns from the Scavs that the women were taken into "The Zone" which is ruled by "Overdog" - their sworn enemy. Returning to the Scrambler, Wolff finds Chalmers - who is really a Gynoid - has been killed. Wolff continues on alone, but soon catches a teenage Scav named Niki trying to steal his Scrambler. She convinces Wolff that he needs a tracker if he is to survive The Zone and Wolff reluctantly takes her lead. In the meantime, the three women are taken before "The Chemist", the chief henchman of Overdog - a hideous cyborg with giant metal claws for hands - who administers pacifying drugs to the girls and prepares them for Overdog's pleasure. Elsewhere, Wolff and Niki make camp, but soon come under attack by a strange plow-like vehicle. Wolff manages to disable the machine and learns the driver is a former military acquaintance of his - a soldier named Washington, who reveals he too has come to rescue the women. His only problem is that he crashed his ship and has no way off of the world they're on. Wolff refuses to help his rival and leaves him to fend for himself. Still led by Niki, Wolff gets into more predicaments - from being attacked by mutated humanoids, to strange amazon-like women and a water dragon (which the amazon-like women fear). He even loses his trusty Scrambler and is forced to continue on foot. Eventually, they are found by Washington, and Wolff finds the situation reversed as he now begs his rival for help. They agree to a 50/50 split of the reward. Wolff and Washington team up and sneak into Overdog's fortress where they find the Zoners entertained by captured prisoners forced to run through a deadly maze of lethal obstacles, hazards and traps. Wolff spots the women being held in a cage and forms a rescue plan, but a bored Niki (who was left out of the rescue for her safety) decides to snoop around. She is captured and sent into the maze. Wolff spots Niki in the maze and tries to rescue her, but she uses her prowess to reach the end where Overdog congratulates her and drags her back to his lair. There, she is hooked to a machine that slowly drains her life energy. The energy in turn recharges Overdog. Wolff comes to the rescue and jabs a sparking power cable into one of Overdog's claws. The power feedback fries Overdog and thus causes cascading blowouts throughout the entire fortress. As the fortress explodes around them, Wolff and Niki run for cover and are rescued by the timely arrival of Washington, who is driving the plow machine with Nova, Reena and Meagan driving another commandeered vehicle. They all race out of the fortress in the nick of time as it explodes behind them. As the complex explodes, the three heroes, and the three rescued women, manage to get away. In the ending, Wolff invites Niki to stay with him and she agrees since they made good partners.
