Orphan boy Karthik helps Govindan escape gangsters. Govindan adopts, renames him Amaran. Grown-up kind-hearted Amaran clashes with vicious don Aandava Perumal. Mysterious past events unravel, leading to final showdown between them. An orphaned boy (Karthik) helps Govindan (Vijayakumar) escape a bunch of gangsters. The kid is adopted and brought up by a grateful Govindan who names him Amaran. After growing up to become a kind-hearted slumlord he comes across a vicious Don Aandava Perumal (Radha Ravi) and thus follows a melee of conflicts unraveling mysterious events from the past resulting in a final showdown between the two. Ravi (Parthiban), a mechanic, is in love with Priya (Suman Ranganathan), a rich girl. Although, Priya hates him and avoids him as far as possible, Ravi tries to seduce her in different styles. In the meantime, Asha (Mohini), a rich girl, falls in love with Ravi. Ravi is in fact Priya's husband and tries to convince Priya. The rest of the story is what happen to Ravi, Priya and Asha.
