A young man goes through a rigorous exercise routine in his bedroom while a small television plays a motivating speech by Tom Brands, the famous American wrestler and Olympic gold medalist. The man is clearly inspired by the fictional character of Rocky, as evident from the posters all over the room's walls, backed by the many small trophies and medals announcing his achievements. But the biggest challenge in the life of this young man, Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome), is that he has had only one leg since birth because of congenital amputation. Irrespective of this disability, though, Anthony dreams of pursuing wrestling as a sport in college, and so the night of the High School Nationals Championship Final is of extreme importance to him. Anthony's coach, Bobby Williams (Michael Pena), prepares him mentally for the fight that is about to come. Anthony represents the Mesa High School, from Arizona. Anthony competes with a single leg in all his bouts. Anthony is evidently a bit distracted by a group of scouts from Iowa University, the college of his dreams, as he hopes to be selected for the university team and also get a fully funded academic package. Bobby brings him back to the present, and as Anthony steps onto the wrestling mat, a rigorous spirit drives him towards success, despite the remarkable fact that he competes in the regular format of the tournament, meaning that none of his opponents have physical disabilities. The young man does not in any way seem to be lacking the strength of his missing leg and uses his mobility and quick reflexes to defeat the opponent wrestler. Despite this great achievement, though, of winning the high school-level championship, Anthony is not able to grab the attention of the Iowa scouts, and they instead go for the safer choice of the fully able wrestler whom he had just defeated. Quite used to such subtle instances of discrimination, Anthony keeps hoping that Iowa State University will grant him a scholarship and is not too keen when his ever-supportive mother, Judy (Jennifer Lopez), is able to arrange for a program from Drexel University. Although Drexel offers him a fully funded college education and a confirmed spot on the wrestling team, he is not as excited as his mother after hearing of the chance. This is not only because Drexel is far away from his home, meaning that he will have to move away from his beloved family, but also because the college does not have a reputed wrestling program. Iowa had produced 73 national champions and Drexel had none. Anthony wants to be trained by the very best coaches so that he can have a good chance at competing in the NCAA championship. As Iowa, or any other better colleges, still do not reach out, Anthony decides to join Arizona State University, where his education will be funded, but he will have to be a walk-on member of the wrestling team, meaning that his position in the team is not guaranteed. When Anthony goes to meet the head coach of the ASU wrestling team, Shawn Charles (Don Cheadle), the latter makes it clear that he will have to prove his worth in order to be selected, and the young man starts to prepare himself for the trials. Meanwhile, he had put in an application at Iowa State University as well, and when they outright rejected his application, Anthony finally joined Arizona State University to train and play under coach Charles. In his freshman year, he goes through all the rigorous training exercises, which are extra difficult for him because of his disability, but Anthony never lets it come in the way of his dreams. Even when the entire roster is made to run around the track field with heavy weights in their hands, Anthony puts a sling around the weights and carries it on his shoulders, as his hands are occupied with the crutches. He does not want to get any unfair advantage over the others in any respect, even though he is technically already at a disadvantage against them. When the rest of the team goes through a very difficult trek, or run, through the Phoenix Mountains, Anthony does not give up, even though he gets injured on the way up and bleeds profusely. Although it is a race up to the peak for the rest of the team, Anthony knows that it would be enough for him to just complete the course and prove his mettle, and he does just that, instantly impressing the coach and the whole team as well. Anthony is very quick at making friends, and he can impress people with ease, both because of his charming personality and also his dedication towards fighting for his goals. The first major setback to his college wrestling career comes at the beginning of sophomore year, when Coach Charles gathers the whole team and announces that wrestling has been cut from the roster of sports to be officially held at the university for the year. With more popular sports like basketball and football bringing in more money for the college, the authorities decide to skip participating in the NCAA wrestling tournament for the year, and this naturally hurts all the students who had been preparing to make it to the team. Anthony was already very close to making it into the team by this time, but there was nothing he could do about the situation. Even Coach Charles tearfully admits to his team that he tried all he could have, but there was simply no way to turn things around. Finally, in the next season, Anthony continues to train and fight for his position on the team when Coach Charles calls each of the players to his office individually and asks them to vote for or against their teammates for the final roster. In this vote, Anthony initially fears that people might have voted against him because of his disability, as some might feel that he would be a liability to the team. However, it is revealed that everyone in the roster had voted in favor of Anthony, wanting him to be a part of the team, as he had not only proven his worth to them but had also become a motivating figure for all of them. In this manner, Anthony becomes a part of the ASU wrestling team. In his first showing at the NCAA national championship, Anthony gets all the way to the finals only to lose to Matt McDonough from Iowa State in the finals. Anthony knew that he had only more attempt left to achieve his dream. Bigger than any personal or institutional setbacks that Anthony Robles has to face in his career are the difficulties at home, originating because of a horrible and insensitive stepfather, Rich (Bobby Cannavale). Being the eldest among all his step-siblings, Anthony is really loved and adored by everyone at home, except for Rich, who has still not been able to get over the fact that he is not Anthony's biological father. Judy has had to go through some really difficult patches in life, during which she got pregnant with someone and had Anthony, before she was left alone to raise him. It was then that she met Rich and decided to start a family with him, and Anthony was made a part of this new family as well. However, Rich always evidently bore a grudge against him, to the point that he even directly told Anthony (when he was just a boy of eight or so) that he was not like his step-siblings and that the boy should just be thankful that someone is taking care of him. Even in his teenage and young adult years, Anthony has to often encounter snide remarks and insensitive comments from his stepfather, who believes that someone with his disabilities cannot pursue wrestling, or any other sport for that matter. Therefore, Rich wants him to just pursue his education without any distractions in the form of sports and try to get a job at the earliest so that he too can start paying the bills for the family. Although some really nasty arguments take place between the father and son, during which Rich's hateful nature makes itself obvious, they are still not the worst harm that Rich does to the family. Instead, it is his disgusting nature of physically abusing and assaulting Judy, all because of his terrible anger issues, that causes the most trouble in the household. Rich is emotionally unstable, and he abandons his family on one occasion, after realizing that his wife and children actually live happier in his absence. But he returns a few weeks later, after he has been fired from his job at the police department, although he never tells anyone about it. On a number of occasions, Anthony finds him to have raged against Judy or to have even physically assaulted her. Despite his anger and concern, he is unable to do anything against Rich only because Judy stops him. However, on one particular occasion, things get really out of hand, and Anthony has to use his wrestling moves on the abhorrent Rich, who is then taken away from the house by the police. Although Rich leaves the family after this, and so the members live in peace, Judy gets distraught when she realizes that the mortgage for the house was no longer being paid, meaning that she and her kids would soon be on the streets. It is Anthony who pushes his mother to stop spiraling out of control and take initiatives to better her position in life, and Judy then finds a way to have the mortgage issue solved. Anthony Robles enters the NCAA wrestling championships as part of the ASU team and remains undefeated throughout the season. He has to face the most difficult competitor in the final round, in the form of a wrestler named Matt McDonough, representing Iowa State University. Therefore, it is not just the winner's trophy that is at stake in this wrestling bout, but also the very prestige of Anthony, as he has to face a wrestler from the very college that he always wanted to attend. After a number of tough rounds, Anthony ultimately wins the bout and the tournament, becoming the NCAA wrestling champion of the year. He was also the first and only athlete to be signed by Nike after his retirement, since he did not pursue wrestling as a profession after college. In 2013, he was even appointed to the President's Council on Fitness, Sport, and Nutrition. In 2022, Anthony Robles took over the job of the wrestling coach at Mesa High School, where his dreams of becoming a wrestler had first taken shape. Judy completed her Doctorate of Education in 2022 and currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Students at Arizona State University.

A lonely and unpopular boy announces that he`s going to eat himself to death and livestream it. His proclamation earns him immense popularity overnight and as his deadline approaches, he struggles to make the right choice.

The film starts with Ashley Ratcliff (Storm Reid) calling her detective uncle Jack (David Oyelowo) to pick her up from the movies since her father forgot and her mother is too busy. Jack gets her and takes her to a diner for a meal. They discuss Ashley's father/Jack's brother Garret (Brian Tyree Henry), an aspiring musician/drug dealer whom both of them see as a screw-up. Jack promises to set Garret straight. The next day at work, Jack gets a phone call from Ashley, who says that Garret appears to be trying to do better after Jack apparently reamed him for neglecting his daughter. Hours later, Jack gets what sounds like a frantic call from Ashley. He rushes to her house and finds Garret dead, along with his wife Susan (Shinelle Azoroh) lying on the floor in her own blood. Their dog Wilco is dead too. Jack then tensely walks up to the bathroom, and to his horror, he finds Ashley dead in the shower. The case is ruled a murder-suicide, and Jack feels responsible for what he told Garret. Jack is supported by his partner Bobby (Mykelti Williamson) Two weeks later, Jack is still shaken from the scene. He then receives a strange phone call coming from Ashley's phone. He checks the evidence room for her phone and finds it there, meaning it can't be some kind of prank. He takes the phone and goes back to Garret's house where he starts speaking to what sounds like Ashley's voice. Jack is in utter disbelief. Bobby visits Jack to let him know that Internal Affairs is considering Jack as a suspect in his family's deaths. He is interviewed by IA agent Roger Lee (Byron Mann), who presses Jack with questions on what motivation he could have had to get rid of his family, like perhaps he was attracted to Susan and wanted Garret out of the way. Jack gets another call from Ashley. She starts repeating the same conversation she had with him right before she died (mentioning how Jack gave Garret an "ear-full" and ordering a garlic chicken dish Jack always recommended). As he walks around her house again, Jack asks Ashley to walk to the shed outside and tell him what she sees. She mentions a spray paint can and he tells her to paint a big red X on the shed's doors. Moments later, Jack closes the doors outside and sees the big X, to his surprise. Jack soon realizes that Ashley is calling him from two weeks in the past, days before her murder. He then hears Ashley saying she sees her father talking to someone that pulled up in a white car. Jack tells Ashley to try and make out the license plate, but she can't. At work, Jack starts to obsessively go over the case files and crime scene photos to try and find some kind of clue as to how to prevent his family's deaths. This brings the attention of his boss, Howard (Alfred Molina), who is growing concerned with Jack's behavior and suggests that he try to move on. Meanwhile in the past, Ashley tries to look into what her father is involved with per Jack's requests. She gets him the name "Georgie". Jack brings it up to Howard, who says that "Georgie" is a mysterious crime figure that has evaded capture for a long time. It is believed that Garret had drug dealings with Georgie that went bad, which led to the murders. Jack continues to investigate and realizes the murders were staged. Ashley calls Jack again and says she found Garret's day planner with Georgie's address. She tells him that she and Wilco are walking toward Jack's house, but Jack urges her to turn around due to Past-Jack not having any idea what is going on. When Jack gets back to his house, some gangsters drive by and shoot at him. He is shot in the side, but is otherwise fine. Jack takes himself to the police station and goes back into the evidence storage room with Bobby, who tries to send him to the hospital. Jack gets called by Ashley again, but he continues to dodge the truth to her and only tells her to call the cops and tell them to arrest Garret because someone is coming to kill him. He also mentions drugs that were found under the bed from the crime scene. Jack gives her Bobby's number to let him know that she needs help just as he passes out from blood loss. Medics show up to revive him. Ashley goes to Jack's house and asks him questions that he has no idea about. She becomes angered due to her belief that Jack is messing with her and keeping something from her. She tells him to leave her alone. When she returns home, she sees Garret playing the guitar while Susan watches. Ashley tries talking to her parents. It later leads to her and her family's murders again, only it happens a day earlier than it originally happened, and Ashley is found dead in her bedroom as she tried but failed to escape from there. This erases the current time-line that Jack was in. Jack remembers what has happened and he and Bobby arm themselves as he thinks Georgie's thugs are going to come after him again. In the past, Ashley (still alive) rides her bike to the warehouse where Garret is meeting with Georgie. She is spotted and then flees on her bike while being followed by a man. As she crosses the barrens, her backpack falls and gets wet, which is something Jack recognizes from a crime scene photo in which Ashley's bag was found wet. Ashley manages to evade the thug and she calls Jack, who is attacked and shot at again. He tells her to go to a diner, which he also goes to and sits in the same booth she is in. He tests her by having her chew gum and stick it under the table, which he then pulls off and describes to her. He tells her that they are communicating two weeks apart from each other, and he tells her that she and her family will be murdered if they don't stop her father's involvement with Georgie. Jack goes back to the police station to look inside the evidence room. Howard and Bobby confront him as he tries looking for Ashley's backpack. After he tells them some information he learned from Ashley, Bobby chimes in that Roger Lee's license number matches the one that Ashley gave Jack, meaning that Lee might be Georgie. Howard then states that "Georgie" isn't one person, but a whole group of dirty cops involved in major criminal activities. The three drive off outside of town to continue an investigation. Just when it appears that Howard might be involved with Georgie, Bobby shoots him dead and reveals himself as the one who killed Garret, Susan, and Ashley. In the past, Bobby becomes aware that Ashley has been snooping around, and he goes to take care of her and her family. Present-Bobby is getting ready to kill Jack as he is trying to get in touch with Ashley. Garret tries reasoning with Bobby, as it becomes clear that the two were involved in the drug trade, but Bobby shoots him in the face before killing Wilco and then going after Susan and Ashley. He kills Susan, but Ashley makes it out of the house after smashing her bedroom window since Jack told her she couldn't get it open. She runs to Jack's house for protection, and Bobby follows her. Ashley gets Jack's attention and he sees what Bobby is up to. Before Bobby can kill Jack in the present, Jack shoots him dead in the past. The bad time-line is erased. Jack comforts a crying Ashley.

Bold and outspoken, he cuts an entirely new image for African Americans in sports with his proud, public self confidence and his unapologetic belief that he is the greatest boxer of all time. To his credit, he sets out to prove that with his highly agile and forceful style soon making him a formidable boxer who claims the heavyweight championship. His personal life is no less noteworthy with his allegiance to the Nation of Islam, his friendship with the controversial Malcolm X, and his abandonment of his slave name in favor of Muhammad Ali stirring up controversy. Yet, at the top of his game, both Ali's personal and professional lives face the ultimate test when the military draft rules are changed, making him eligible for military induction during the Vietnam War. Ali refuses to submit on principle to cooperate in a war for a racist nation that treated his people so poorly. The cost of that stand is high as he finds himself unable to legally box in his own country while his case is contested in court. His world heavyweight champion title thus stripped from him entirely for political reasons, the champ sets about to win back his crown, culminating in a legendary unification bout against George Foreman (Charles Shufford) in Zaire, dubbed the "Rumble in the Jungle." In his travels, Ali becomes a symbol of power to disenfranchised African-Americans everywhere and meets such luminaries as Malcolm X (Mario Van Peebles), Martin Luther King Jr. (LeVar Burton) and Maya Angelou (Martha Edgerton). Muhammad Ali from 1964 to 1974, told in three braided threads. The boxer: from becoming champion to regaining the championship. Religion and politics: Cassius Clay becomes a Black Muslim, truncates a friendship with Malcolm X, perhaps is Elijah Muhammad's pawn, refuses induction into the US military, and faces a five year prison sentence while his case goes to the Supreme Court. Family: he marries twice and by 1974 marriage two is strained, defends his white trainer, has a brother in Bundini Brown, and is wily with Howard Cosell. Commander Patrick Ross leads a crewed mission to Mars. Soil samples collected by the astronauts unwittingly contain an alien-based substance which thaws aboard their capsule due to the change in temperature and contaminates them, causing a seven-minute contact gap with mission control. With seemingly no subsequent negative effects, the three astronauts return to Earth to public celebration. Only an institutionalized former scientist, Dr. Cromwell, reacts to their return with violent panic. Meanwhile, Dr. Laura Baker has created a clone of Sil named Eve, whose alien DNA is suppressed to make her more docile. Her team conducts experiments on Eve, hoping to find a way to combat the alien species should it ever return to Earth. Every experiment is unsuccessful as Eve's biology adapts. Upon their return, the team members are told to refrain from sexual activity for ten days. Patrick disregards this advice and has a threesome with two sisters Marcy and Lucy following a fundraiser. During sex with Lucy, he begins to sprout tentacles. Lucy notices his transformation while she is stroking his body and is horrified at the sight of him, whereupon she tries to free herself from his clutches. She pleads with him to stop but he ignores her pleas as he proceeds to climax. The hyper-fertile alien seed within Marcy and Lucy causes them both to experience accelerated pregnancies, culminating when Patrick's half-alien children violently burst from their abdomens. Patrick hides his rapidly growing sons on the property of his father, Senator Judson Ross. Each time Patrick has sex, Eve experiences excitement. The next day, Patrick tells his father he cannot remember the previous night's events. Senator Ross indicates that he is aware of Patrick's behavior and tells him to focus on his political goals. Dr. Orinsky, one of the NASA scientists who examined Patrick, discovers something amiss about his blood sample and desperately tries to contact Cromwell. However, Orinsky is ambushed and disemboweled by something formed from Patrick's blood. Laura discovers that the DNA in Orinsky's wounds is distinct from Eve's, making her an unlikely culprit in the murder. This prompts Colonel Burgess, the military supervisor in charge of her project, to reunite her with Press Lennox to contain the new threat. Press and Laura seek out Cromwell, Orinsky's former professor, and learn that he discovered that the alien species had attacked and destroyed Mars in ancient times. Because of his fears that alien DNA might remain on Mars to infect anyone who visited the planet in the future, Cromwell urged the government to abort the mission, but was committed to an institution to permanently silence him. Press and Laura identify the Mars astronauts as the prime suspects. Unable to find Patrick, they pursue the other astronauts, Anne Sampas and Dennis Gamble. They arrive too late to prevent Anne from having sex with her husband, resulting in her impregnation with hybrid offspring. A tentacle-like creature bursts from Anne's abdomen and kills her husband before Press and Laura manage to kill the monster. Meanwhile, a second team of agents makes it in time to locate and examine Dennis, and confirm he is not infected. Laura discovers that Anne's hybrid DNA does not match that in Orinsky's wounds, meaning Patrick is the killer. Meanwhile, Patrick has sex with his girlfriend, resulting in her death through the birth of another hybrid son named Portus. Horrified at causing her death, Patrick attempts suicide by shotgun, but the alien DNA regenerates his head and restores him back to life and temporarily killing his human side, with the drive to mate with as many women as possible. Dennis witnesses this and tells Press and Laura what he saw, remembering what happened in the capsule and joining them in their mission. Patrick begins impregnating as many women as he can, hiding his victims and up to twenty children on his father's property. Laura is ordered to activate Eve's alien DNA so she can telepathically track Patrick, but this makes her volatile and strengthens her alien instincts. Patrick surrenders to Press and Dennis after attempting to rape Darlene, whereupon he becomes aware of Eve; they take him to the lab despite their suspicion. As Patrick is taken to custody, Eve shows signs of being in heat. Patrick demands Laura open Eve's cell and nearly kills her when she refuses, but Press and Dennis drive him off with a special gaseous weapon. Burgess confronts Ross with irrefutable proof of Patrick's infection and demands help in detaining Patrick. Suspicious that Patrick will instead be killed, Ross deduces that he is at the property and apologizes for treating his son so coldly. Patrick's human side briefly returns, but while he tearfully embraces his father, the alien DNA suddenly violently reasserts itself and kills the Senator. Ross's death completely destroys Patrick's humanity, and he helps his hybrid children to cocoon, so they will soon begin mating themselves and prepare to eradicate humanity. Back at the lab, Laura discovers Dennis was not infected because he is a carrier of sickle-cell disease, as the species lacks immunity to human genetic diseases. While they plan to weaponize this weakness, Eve breaks out of her confinement to find Patrick. Press, Laura and Dennis pursue her, with Burgess and the military following. At the shed, they kill Patrick's offspring while Eve and Patrick transform into their alien forms and begin to mate. The mating stops when Press and Dennis intervene, allowing Eve to break free; Patrick, transformed into another alien form, apparently attacks Eve by forcing his tongue-tentacle down her throat. Patrick attempts to attack the team, but Press impales the male alien in the back with a pitchfork coated in Dennis' blood, causing him to disintegrate and die. The military escorts Press, Laura and the injured Dennis away. Eve's seemingly lifeless body is loaded into an ambulance, but shortly after, her womb begins to swell rapidly-indicating her survival and impregnation by Patrick - while Portus, who somehow survived, watches. As the screen cuts to black, Eve's uterus bursts and her screaming is heard.

A group of crooks, an ex con, his friend and a gun crazy gangster plan a drug heist, but not everything goes as planned. Each going into the situation with a different motive, criminal associates Raymond Lembecke, Curtis Freley - the volatile one who can easily turn to violence if things aren't going his way - and Marcus Weans, and Raymond's girlfriend Addy Monroe are planning on stealing a large stash of drugs from dealer Eddie Grillo, and going to Las Vegas to sell them to drug kingpin Tony Vago. Raymond's motivation is payback as he served two years in prison without talking in taking the fall for Eddie, who showed his "appreciation" in return by giving Raymond a low level, menial job upon his release. While they are able to steal the drugs, the plan doesn't go off without a hitch, they knowing that the authorities, most likely including the DEA, subsequently after them. Although they need to work out details as they go along, they add a coda to the plan, namely to cross the border into Mexico to live after all is said and done. One of those details is feeling like they need to kidnap a couple they encounter, straight-laced Gordon Jacobson and Donna Moreland, who they hold hostage instead of Curtis' preferred alternative of killing them. However, not all is as it appears on the surface with this now collective of six, those unknowns which factor into what happens with them. As they proceed, they also come to the realization that they face obstacles of Eddie's bosses, who are much more forthright in getting what they want without an "or else". —Huggo A drug deal goes wrong causing a foursome, led by a lunatic killer, to go on the run. A couple in a recreational vehicle are initially kidnapped, but soon the male hostage is emulating his kidnappers and wants to stay involved in the chase. —John Sacksteder <jsackste@bellsouth.net> Raymond Lembecke, who was just freed from prison, meets his girlfriend Addy again and plans a robbery of a drug dealer together with Marcus and Curtis. Everything goes awfully wrong and they run out of the city, kidnapping middle-class couple Gordon and Donna in the process. They come to a small New Mexico town, where they try to give the stolen drugs to powerful mob boss Tony Vago and live in the house of former Raymond's cellmate Wayne. —Anonymous Former inmate Raymond Lembecke has just been released from prison, and, having after met up with his girlfriend, Addy, plans a drug sale to the mafia boss, Tony Vago, in which they have no idea the drugs belonged to him. After the steal goes wrong, they find themselves fleeing authorities en route to Vago to make the sale. When they are informed of their situation, the sale goes horribly wrong and they are once again forced to flee, eventually winding up in the middle of a remote New Mexico town, Raymond's brother's house. —Xiomar

Two years ago, 14-year-old teenager Jesse helped the whale Willy to jump into freedom. Jesse enjoys the life with his adoptive parents, when his half-brother Elvis arrives because of the death of their mother. During a camping trip Jesse meets Willy again, as well as his Indian friend Randolph. A tender love develops between Jesse and Rudolph's goddaughter Nadine. Whalers patrol the Pacific Northwest coast in search of a pod of orc-as. After being taken from his family, one of the orc-as is sold to the Northwest Adventure Park. A few months later, in Portland, Jesse, an orphan who was left behind by his mother six years ago, fled Cooperton with other orphans and spent three days stealing food and begging for money on the streets. Later that evening, he and Perry break into the adventure park's observation area to avoid pursuing police. Before being apprehended by the authorities, Jesse encounters the or ca while writing graffiti on the walls and its water tank. Dwight tells him that Glen and Annie Greenwood, his new foster parents, would be delighted to adopt him. Reluctantly moving to Astoria to live with them, Jesse longs to be with his mother again. Jesse is permitted to clean and repaint the observation area to make up for his vandalism in order to avoid being sent to juvenile hall if he runs away again. He develops a relationship with the or ca, Willy, after he enjoys Jesse's harmonica playing. Jesse slips out of the house to visit Willy as his probation is coming to an end and his job is about to expire, and he ends up in the tank. Willy saves him and pulls him to the surface just in time to prevent him from drowning. After noticing that Jesse is the only human that Willy, who is typically ill-tempered, responds to, Randolph Johnson, Willy's Haida caregiver, and Rae Lindley, his trainer/veterinarian, offer Jesse a summer job. Additionally, he begins to get to know the Greenwoods. Dial, the park owner, recognizes Jesse and Willy's talent and hopes to finally profit from the or ca, which has been an expensive endeavor for him up to this point. But because he feels agitated, he declines to perform on opening day. Despite the pressure from onlookers, Jesse is unable to get him to perform tricks, so he storms off with tears in his eyes and makes plans to find his mother. Willy has had enough of the kids' incessant banging and lets loose with his stress-induced rage. Sneaking out to say goodbye to Willy, Jesse stops by the tank. Willy's calling is answered once more before he leaves. Following the replies, Jesse discovers that Willy is speaking to his pod. When park manager Wade and a few coworkers enter the observation area covertly and purposefully damage the location where Willy broke the tank so that the water will leak out, the discovery is halted. Jesse is informed by Randolph that Dial intends to murder Willy in order to obtain the million-dollar insurance. Randolph and Rae join Jesse in his scheme to get him back into the ocean. Using a forklift, they move Willy from the tank to Glen's pickup truck, which Jesse and Randolph took. When Wade tells Dial about Willy, he starts looking. Jesse calls Glen and Annie for assistance using the truck's CB radio after it becomes stuck in the mud. They both show up, and although Glen is hesitant to help, he gives in after Jesse begs him. Glen takes the truck to Dawson's Marina, where Dial, Wade, and their men have gathered at the gates to stop them, after making a quick stop at a car wash to get Willy even wetter. Willy is backed into the water when Glen's truck crashes through the gate. Two of Dial's whaling ships close off the marina, but Willy swims away after a battle with Dial's men and Wade. Willy is urged to follow Jesse as he dashes toward the breakwater and leaps over. Jesse signals Willy to jump on the breakwater after reciting a Haida prayer that Randolph had taught him through the Natsilane story. While Wade and Dial look on in dismay, Willy jumps over and lands in the ocean on the other side, free to go back to his pod. As Willy calls out to him in the distance, Jesse thanks Glen and Annie and gives them hugs.
